Okay…
On 1.23 we have two dedicated servers (Battle and CTF, hopefully you knew that :)
But 1.24, there aren’t any dedicated servers.
As I know, almost all the TSF players are European, and their timezones differ greatly from mine. (Central I believe).
I am pretty sure that this makes it that they play JJ2 while I sleep.
How convienent. =D
So, Since it seems as if someone in my family always closes JJ2, I doubt I could run it 24/7. Unfortunately, Link hasn’t designed his remote admin server for TSF yet, so I wouldn’t be able to have people do :rsrv whenever necessary. :(
But, since my family sleeps at night (hurrah!), I could try and get a server up at night, then while I am at school, and until I get home, and more. The thing is, I have two computers of which my family shares, so it makes it VERY hard to make it dedicated, therefore, I can offer no reliabilty whatsoever.
If, by some miracle, I were to get an old junky computer from my dad’s office, I could network that up, and sort of “hide” it. (Just use the monitor from one of the other computers.) Then I might be able to make a dedicated server. (Of course if this happened then I would be running a lot of stuff always.)
So, I post this here for the TSF players to decide:
Do you want a server?
If so, here is the stuff I need:
1.LEVELS!! Email levels to SpazBoyCC@msn.com (with pass if it has one)
I haven’t really thought about the fact of custom tilesets allowed and/or custom music. I’ll let you all decide. ;)
Depends on the release of Admin Kit Server 2.0
2.Admins? Obviously, if I am sleeping, I can’t admin the server. No, I’m not that talented. :P
3.Trust. Can I trust (as my dad thinks I’m gonna get hacked though I tell him I won’t) you to not hack into my computer? Can I trust you to not cheat?
I guess that’s all. I will register some free temporary web hosting and put up a basic thing sometime.
All I want now is your feedback

Actually, the :rsrv will work fine with TSF, as long as you put in the right command line at the start :)
It is only the memory stuff that doesn’t work in TSF (yet)

I don’t have word in this…
I don’t play as much MP JJ2 as before…
Nowadays I’m really busy on Devil Dash and my JJ2 WWW page…
But I think I can say this is a good idea… for other Jazzers…
