Description

Newest C (Cracco) tileset, this is second one which is (fully) drawn instead of ripped. It can be used for fields, forests, swamps, jungles etc. If you wanna see what the tileset is capable of, check out Cracco Bramble (carnage), Cracco Bramble2 (singleplayer), Cracco Nature (CTF), Cracco Gladiator2 (gladiator), Cracco LMS2 (LMS), Cracco Plants (survive), Cracco Ruxors (carnage) and Cracco Spider (carnage). These levels are hosted on JJ2 frequently and I think I’ll upload one or more of these here soon.

Credits & Acknowledgements

ET did the backgrounds, pallete and the big tree near the end of the level.

    Yay, finally the release!
    I waited months for the release of Cracco Haggard. It’s really the best C tileset ever made.
    I give this a tip rating because I just love the work. Or do you want me to say what’s bad about it?

    So, let’s see what we have here…

    There are good things and bad things.
    I’ll start with the bad ones:

    -No destruct scenery blocks.(I saw something that looked like a speedblock, but I’m not sure)
    -No example level.
    -The tileset is tricky to use.
    -I don’t really like it, but that’s a little less important…

    And now the good ones:

    -The tileset is big.
    -WOW! Do I like those backgrounds!!
    -Tileset is interesting(even if I don’t like it)

    I give this all a 7.5.
    If it wasn’t for those backgrounds, I’d give it a 6.7.

    By the way, I saw all your downloads. You should put it all together in one file next time.

    This tileset RULEZZZZZZZZ!!!!!! very kewl lvl’s can be build with it and IMO it has all tiles it needs!!

    Not bad at all. A pretty interesting tile set overall. I admit that some of this is ripped, but ripped isn’t always bad.

    The trees look very nice and I assume are hand-drawn. While I’m not sure what “Haggard” is, this tile set seems to have many different kinds of areas all mixed into one tileset, which is both good and bad for it. It’s good because levels using this tileset have possibilities to be extremely varied but bad because what it does, it doesn’t necessarily do best.

    I made a quick level out of this, and the mask was annoying, but generally forgivable. The other elements of a good tile set were there, and I especially like the background.

    I’m disappointed about the ripped tiles, but didn’t downgrade too much for them. It was mostly due to masking problems.

    However, this is an excellent tileset regardless of the several problems it has and is worth your download. And, yes, that is a download recommendation. ;-P

    Bjarni, I gave a list of demo levels, and one of them is already uploaded, Cracco Nature. Go download it if u want a example level.

    That green tile with the leaf is a destruct/buttstomp scenery tile, the one with the waves is a collaps/speed-destruct tile.[This review has been edited by CraccoBoy]
