Description

Fquist said this “4. No Warez”! And I tried my best to make it un-ware, so it’s not ware! It’s the hardest level I ever made, this is really hard race level, they are alot of bees that may kill you, many million bees, so you need to be careful! No, it’s not for beginners! So you need to be careful about those bees! And do not go in the hole that are in this level, if you do that you’re died! Please engough and give it really high rating! It was hard work to work on this! It’s short level but it took 4 hours to work on this! Engough, and have fun! ;)

P.s. Like I said it’s not ware!

    How to complete a lap in this level:
    1. Hold down right and run the whole time.
    2. At one point in the level, just before the first hole, press jump.
    Congratulations! You have now completed a lap, and lost one heart while warping. Repeat the above steps once you’re done warping, and you’ll have completed another lap!

    Get the picture? This race isn’t too long, and it uses (basically) bees as the sole obstacle. Well, there’s a pit, and some spikes, but mainly the bees.
    “Bees”, you say? Yes, bees. Read the author’s description. The type that will kill you in race mode, which this just happens to be. Race, not treasure hunt-online-compatible-race. And thus there are bees as enemies. No, please.
    Ok, so there are bees. How about the graphics?

    Well, this level gives tile repetition a new name. Every wall tile is the same, every ground tile is the same, every cave tile is the same. Well, not every ground tile, there’s a stump and a lot of rabbit stinks signs, which only serve to show the monotony of the other tiles in greater relief.
    Eyecandy? Sorry, just the signs. Nothing in the background except a textured layer 8, and there’s just enough dimming of ambient lighting to slow down JJ2, but not enough to be really noticable.

    This is, of course, a race level, so I won’t rate the enemy placement, despite it being the main point of the level. Sorry, Bjarni. Try for another point next time. No download recommendation.

    (On the plus side, this is indeed not warez!)

    Actually, Violet, if you have enough speed, you don’t have to EVER jump. ;p
    What Violet said, basically, here. I’ll add some points for decent eyecandy and originality.
    And since it’s not warez.

    This race level was very bad, and i give 3 reasons why:

    - bees,bees,bees and just more bees………..

    -boring eyecandy , every tile is same…..

    -its just boring, and you just have to run…………

    Firstly, congratulations on not making this warez. It’s one of the least warezziest levels I’ve ever seen. Well done.

    Race levels are seldom made, and for a reason. Most people find races unexciting compared to Battle and CTF. Also, there’s a lack of good race levels. This one adds to the junk pile.
    Violet is right, all you need to do is put Caps Lock on and hold right. You’ll run fast enough to avoid most of the obstacles, jump over a pit, miss some spikes, and lose a heart on the warp.
    The bees take up most of this level. The kind that kills you in races. Not great. There’s a lot of them, most people wouldn’t be bothered to shoot any. All you do is run right until you warp, such speedloops like this aren’t amazing for races.

    I hope you’re not expecting good eyecandy now. This uses Diamondus, and all of the tiles are the same. They all fit together perfectly, but this offers nothing new, it’s just boring. There’s even two tiles missing from the big pit that could be a warp, but no, it’s just two tiles missing.

    To improve: Add some eyecandy tiles, a few less bees, and make it less linear. Bend the track about a bit. Don’t use Hurt events, warp the player back to the start. No download recommendation.

    OK. Level by Bjarni. Again. I think it is good… Only what you want, there isn’t. OK. GOOD? Boring, bad level design. Eyecandy is average, and this is not originally, but…

    Ok first, the level has a pit that goes nowhere which would leave a player helpless and stuck for the rest of the race : -5
    Second, bees in race… doens’t work on the internet, unless you use those glitchy programs which are just that glitch : -2
    The level is very short no weapons lack of original eyecandy :-3

    The level design doesn’t look ugly: +2
    SO I’ll rate this a generous 2 :D.

    Levels like this are why JJ2 doesn’t sell well. This level brings the word ‘bad’ to a whole new level! (no ‘level’ pun intended)
    However, this isn’t warez! Since the lowest score I can possibly give is a 1, I will pretend the 1 point is because it isn’t warez. I hope no one wastes 2 kb downloading this.

    Hey, it wasn’t that bad! I liked it!

    GAMEPLAY: When you consider the fact that in race, speed is the object, then bees slowing you down is a good idea. And there is no enemy better than bees to have been chosen for this level! Bees are annoying… Also, you may complain that it is not for internet use, but the splitscreen race was designed to be better. You would only have to complain that it wasn’t for internet use if you had no friends in real life.

    EYE CANDY: It looks decent. Everything fits together and there are no bugs. GRANTED, there wasn’t much, but you aren’t going to be looking at it when racing anyway.

    LEVEL DESIGN: Again, not that bad. It’s supposed to be linear because it’s a race, otherwise it would be too confusing. Also, I tested it, split screen race, and when you fall in the pit, eventually you die and get sent back to the beginning. Although at first you think you can just jump over the pit, the bees might hit you and you fall. So therefore you have to avoid the bees!

    OVERALL: I think it is good! Although you can just run right and win, there is still another opponent and you can try to mess him up too, so there can be challenge. It looks good, sounds good, and can be fun if you play it with someone. I bet you play this with your sister Bjarni. Or if not, you should. (You do have a sister, right? Or am I crazy? Well, I am, but anyway…)

    This warrents a 6 from me, and a download reccomendation for those of you that have friends.

    (Rating removal. While your logic makes sense, your rating is a little more than questionable. Please note that multiplayer race mode means that you wil be unable to see bees in the first place. -Trafton)

    What do you mean? I tested it in multiplayer race mode and I could see the bees.

    Anyway, it was very unfair of you to remove this rating. It was a perfectly fair rating and I have the right to my opinion.

    No, that’s all right, however…

    I thought that that rule only applied if you didn’t give good reason as to why you think it deserves such a good rating. While it does contrast it, it doesn’t bring it up too much higher.

    Here, we’ll comprimise. I’ll give it a 4.

    I’m really sorry, but when you are playing in race mode, you are invincible, so all the bees could do would just stop you for 1.5 seconds. Even so, they would only target player.
