Description

2007 revision: Added support for MOTD and 1.20 servers.

A very modular gip PHP script that allows you to list servers and get the level file name and players in a server.

Includes two examples (one more when compared to the last version) that also feature how to generate .j2(s)i files for joining the servers and registry files for storing the character, colors and name of a given player.

    I’m a good programmer of php so, understanding this script was pretty easy.

    Download recommendation: YES

    Note: change this socket address to “jazz.digiex.net” to make the script work.

    EDIT:
    I am sorry to say this, but this script DO NOT work with JJ2+, and the error is “Malformed package”. This ONLY work with non-plus-JJ2.

    Please fix this, I am trying but getting nowhere.
    Please explain the different bytes or binaries and how to get it work.

    Good job, Cata. There are loads of other things like this, but with this you can see the character and the colors. It looks kind of slow compared to most, though. I have no use for it, but the link is useful. I’ll stick with the server list on jazz2online.com, anyway.
    Download reccomendation: Maybe. You might not have use for it.

    Bjarni, .php is like .html. Open it up with Internet Explorer or Netscape. Jazz2online was coded with .php.[This review has been edited by labratkid]

    If it is slow, that must be due to the server, not the script itself.

    In order to use this you would need to put the script in a directory readable by a PHP enabled HTTP server and then request that script through the server.

    An interesting idea, I wanted to install it on jazz.nimrod-online.com, but sadly it doesnt like my PHP setup.

    Shame really, ill be working with spazzyman for a GIP script for the site then.

    But I would recommend that if someone was really good at PHP, they could download this, and edit it a bit so it works on other php setups.

    Yes, this requires the extension php_sockets.dll. I’m not that good at PHP, so i don’t know whether there are other methods, but I would welcome any information on that.

    I know some stuff and I got some help, but I dont feel like editing my php.ini, not to mention you have to modify php.ini-dist and rename it to php.ini and copy it over to windows :). Anyway, that was just with my version. I think its good someone tried to make something that others could use…Not like me of course, im a greedy person as usual. But I guess this is the only one which shows character colors and stuff. Its neat how this analyzes almost every single packet transferred when player information is received (its like the 4th packet upon connection FYI). Overall, I’d say that this is not too shabby, just be sure you know what you’re doing. (I havent tested this on my server). Good job Cataphract.
