sigh Do I have to do everything myself? :p Or I just have way too much free time on my hands…
To be honest, I have no words for this remix. For a first track it’s pretty impressive. It sounds pretty decent, it shows the tracker has potential. He didn’t go overboard trying to make it the best, instead he stayed level. The track has a steady tempo, like 1, 2, 1, 2. I’m not an expert on instruments, but they seem too … mellow for a tough bunny like Jazz. That’s forgivable for a first try, as long as he’s prepared to improve on it. The nicest thing is the added tune in the “silent” area (0:57 to 1:06), which is actually a part of the menu song, not made up. The melody is completely preservedOne thing bothered me tho: the very long file name. I had to shorten it because it screwed up the file selection window in my player. Names like “JJ-menurm” would have worked better.
Verdict:
A good remix, but it could use some minor improvements on the instruments and the steady tempo. But since it’s the tracker’s first try, it’s understandable he wanted to stay level, so I won’t hold points back for that. Recommended download, with the reservation of the long file name.

What are you talking about Bajarni S3M is one of the most common and workable formats for JJ2. Your crazy.
Now onto the review:
It has a nice base to it. It really brings out how catchy the theme song is. I’m listening to it right now and bobbing my head. I don’t know much about music but I know whats catchy and what I like and I like this.
Overall I say this is a wonderful remix of the Jazz theme because it portrays how catchy it is and is arranged nicely with good instrument choice. Good job Danyjel you get my thumbs up and an 8 outa ten!
Alright, here goes:
I was actually pretty surprised with the quality of the music, it reminded me of the original menu remix and had a rux beat, and I liked it, a lot of cool notes and beats. I like how it sounded a lot different and yet still reminded me of the original menu song. Pretty good for a first try. And yeah, next time make the music title a bit shorter. Overall, I’d say this would get about an 8 from me. Good Job, and download reccomended. (I can’t ever seem to do long enough reviews on music =\)
Edit: After a while I’ve grown to like this tune more. Rating upgraded to an 8.2.
I promised a review so here I am.
Now for the review itself i find myself in a difficult position.
I like the tune, melody is catchy and I liked it the moment I heard it the first time. But nothing has been altered here.
I have no clue if the speed has changed but it sounds a little bit too slow to have ingame, if it was ever meant for a level.
The instruments are chosen nicely, although I would have chosen the trumpets differently. And in the beginning an instrument is being stretched too long.
In remixes I really like when cords (don’t know if the word is correct) are changed and the whole song sounds a little bit different. sadly this was not attempted.
Afterall this is his first mix and it’s a great start. Thumbs up from me
And a rating of 7.5

OK, so what we have here can be called a remix. Yes, not just stupid sample changing, or adding two patterns, this is an actual remix. Although I don’t know what kind of a remix this is… We have more channels, more samples, old ones are replaced (all of them). It’s really a piece of hard work. The problem is… it sounds “empty”. Maybe the percussion samples are too short, or the new trumpet has a too drastic ending, but it sounds like a channel or two are missing. Besides that, everything else is very good… Maybe all that goodness isn’t combined well? Anyway, as for your first work, I will rate this 7.5. Just keep on practicing, and I hope your next work will be astonishing!

Nice piece of work Danny!
If i compare this song with others “remixes” like Letni or tubelectric i should give you 10, but because this is your first remix, and because it is realy good, you surely can be better and I think you make next time something realy fantastic. Maybe you should give there longer tones, but as i said before this is real remix and good.
If anyone read this i recomend him to not read Rewiews and download this at his own, because this is one of the “better” remixes.[This review has been edited by sasa][This review has been edited by sasa][This review has been edited by sasa]

Very good, especially for your first try! Its very different, but it still sounds like the original version.
I didn’t really recognize the first 9 seconds, but other than that, its great.
A nice beat to it. The trumpet lasts a little bit too long…[This review has been edited by Spazie]

This is the average review rating before I reviewed. In this case, 8.1 of 10.
Tilt:
A very good conversion. Extremely good. I finished it. It was delicious.

Ok, as I promised here’s my rating…
Sample Selecting: I think it’s good. Melody instrument is similar to the original, but it’s filled with more “electricity”, and whole song is more “Funky like”.
Beats: I’ve got a little problem here, I think the basic kick groove can be louder, or the snaredrum or clap can be more quiet or less sharp. But the full groove is nice I think.
Melody: The main melody is same as the original’s, but there are few new things, and you had extended the melody very well. Just, try make another changes to the melody next time I think, but it’s good. =)
Overall: It’s a good remix, with good samples, good ideas, but I think it need more things from that, (more good ideas, more new things.) like in the intro & the ending part. Good luck for the other remixes! =)
It’s pretty good, starts not that great but gets better.Sound old and a bit cheap, lacking in quality. But its Danyjel first 1 so its good for a first
I’m getting tired of this! Please make your musics in “.j2b” this doesn’t work for any JJ2 versions, for example mine!

Bjarni, when an author makes the music format in a module file, rather than a .j2b, you can use it for multiple things. If it’s a .j2b, it will only work with JJ2. At its current state, you can use this file in Winamp, and other things. If you want to listen to this in JJ2, Bjarni, include the file extension when you type in the music name.
In this case, you’d have to type…
Jazz Jackrabbit 1 menusong music remix.s3m
…to use this in JJ2, rather than typing…
Jazz Jackrabbit 1 menusong music remix
…without the .s3m at the end.
Okay, Danyjel wanted me to rate this, but I’m not sure what to give it, so I’ll just comment on it. Anyway, this is a pretty good remix. I don’t like the first 20 seconds all that much, but after that, I like it a lot! =) Good job, keep up the good work. I hope to see more remixes from you in the future. =D[This review has been edited by labratkid]
Well.. Danyjel asked me to review this but i dunno how to rate music, so ill comment this instead.
Well.. i like this remix alot. its probably one of my favorites. samples and sounds are very nice.. il hope we see more remixes from ya. the end, because im too lazy to write more.
Yes, that song beats your other ones. This is the best production of you, so I’m rating 8.5 :)
I hope that your next remixes will be very good too or even better than it :)
(Unsupported rating removal. Ok, so, it’s good. That’s great. Why? Can you explain what makes it good? How does it beat the other ones? Is there any evidence you actually listened to this music? ~Violet)
