JCS 94’ Version 1.10 is now out! Here’s what new:
Version 1.10
……………
This version switched from level creator to level editor
‘ No more injecting and extracting
‘ Choosing events is different than editing events. Users can now choose to edit events or just put down an existing event
New Features
‘ Event names on-screen
‘ Animation names from 1 to 121 for each level
‘ Add button to change color of Event names on the screen
‘ Can now select multiple tiles in the tileset window and main window. Tile selection code rebuffed.
‘ Making a new level loads an old level and erases the level but not the presets
‘ The ability to edit all aspects of an event is now possible
‘ Tileset and level viewing are now done in seperate windows. All windows are inside one form.
‘ You can now set Jazz’s start position from the level viewer itself. Simply right click and
click Set Jazz Start
‘ When toggling off events, the screen now shows the background tile behind events equal to or above 128
‘ The arrow keys will now move the level and tileset viewing windows so you don’t have
to only use the mouse
‘ Recently edited level functionality has been added
‘ F5 now brings up the Edit Events window
‘ You can now Right click on the main window and paste the recently selected Event
Bug Fixes
‘ A big bug that caused levels with many of the same tiles to not save properly has been fixed.
‘ Boss Levels now save properly
‘ Enemy shots should now appear properly
‘ No more issues should occur with how jazz shoots
‘ Music and sounds now play
‘ You can no longer load multiple copies of JCS94 at any given time
‘ Ugly grey scheme mode — application doesn’t close down completly, so removed grey scheme
option
