It rocks, it rocks, it rocks!
You really must make more single player lvls if your first ones are so gobsmackingly good, Agama! Now I understand why those example lvls following your tilesets are also so amazing! You have it all Agama! Lvl designing skills, tileset designing superhuman skills, etc. The only thing left to do is to do some jazzing online and kick mortal butt! :-D
The lvls are nice and long and you will have lots of fun with them because there are 10 in total, giving you about 2 hours of exciting playtime (depending on just how much effort you put in looking for the various secrets). The Epic-style gameplay is great and perfectly imitated. Though Epic-style lvls tend to be easy I don’t really care because there are not many lvl packs except for a select few that can beat Epic’s original lvls in terms of sheer fun and playability. Night World deserves to be classified as an Epic lvl. Your lvls are like Epic’s, your tilesets are like Epic’s…do you work for Epic??? :-D
Eyecandy is also Epic-ishy but it exists in a higher concentration. No complaints here but Epic lvls were kind of empty of eyecandy compared to some home-cooked lvls so it wouldn’t hurt if you put more stuff into all layers.
Weapons and baddie placement. Ahh… fighting 3 fencers at the same time… it’s fun playing Zorro with JJ2. :-) The baddie placement COULD NOT BE BETTER. Some are ingeniously placed while others are just waiting to ambush you. You often never know what to expect and when they come, the only way out is to react fast and shoot fast. The baddies die all too easily but if they didn’t, Night World would make a formidable challenge. Weapons placement is not that brilliant, but all right. There tend to be a unique weapon for every lvl/tileset theme but in the end you go overboard with ammo, Agama. There is so much of it and since I usually only use the blaster all my ammo is wasted at x99. Even the bosses can be defeated easily using the standard blaster (go blaster! :-D).
My big complaints about Night World is that some bonus areas can be accessed by copter ears/double jumping, there are a couple of places to get stuck (near the bridges in the Medivo lvl), the whole thing is too easy and you can finish it in a flash and there is an unfinished area near the end of the Carrotus lvl, which looks ugly. BUT DON’T LET THIS DETER YOU FROM DOWNLOADING, PLAYING AND ENJOYING NIGHT WORLD OR I SHALL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO EAT YOU!!!!!
I know my review is almost 4 years old but after I discovered this wonderful little lvl pack I couldn’t help but to play and review it. Extra bonus because these are your first lvls. Agama, you are brilliant.

First of all, THE MUSiC CHOiCE is awesome!!! You’ll listen to tracks like “elysium” by jester/sanity (german 01d5k001!!), Amazonas by Skaven/FC and four more classic 4-16 channel demotunes from the early nineties…that says it all i guess.
Now, the ten levels themselves also look pretty cool: the design/layout seems to be a reminiscence of the original Epic single player episodes. Some places even look a bit well…copied…thats not a real con, no. Furthermore, the eyecandy looks very, very good (better than in the original Epic levels i’d say).
Conclusion: it’s nothing really super-original or exciting or new but if you liked the original episodes from the game (and who of us didn’t?) and have a marked preference for good tracked music, you’ll LOVE this. A MUST DOWNLOAD FOR EVERYONE![This review has been edited by Aiko]

The master Agama’s first ten levels are professional’s work. The eye-candy is superb, but little exaggerated at times. The parallax tricks for example in the first level were cool and they were new ideas. The diffuculty level was just fine, but I think there wasn’t foods enough. I got 2 sugar rushes in 10 levels. The music is good mostly, but some of the tracks are little bit annoying.
Now you have proved that you can really use original JJ2 tilesets, You can show the tricks of your own awesome tilesets!

Great levels !
Size = Suberb
Eyecandy: Really good !
Overall: Definatly one of the best pack of levels around here !
If these really are your first published levels you are talented!

Very good levels with a nice size, good design and eye candy and many more good things. Allow me to say wow if these really are your first levels, I could barely slap up something like this in my current state.
I didn’t like every single aspect of it (example: the foreground wasn’t so great at times, not to mention the difficulty was simply too easy) but overall this is a great piece of work any beginning level-maker should be proud of.
The music: awesome! All tunes fit well. You did a great job selecting them, especially since most beginners don’t even use custom music in their levels.
All in all this is great and I recommend everyone here get this as soon as possible.[This review has been edited by Genotoxin aka iCeD]

I really like it.
Too bad it isn’t much more then a’walk around and shoot the enemy’pack.
If it’s yer first, you are talented!
This levelset really has a lot in common with regular jazz, but it still has some layer bugs in it. It is also not difficult enough.
The music is great, very great.
If this really are Nights first levels, then he is very good at levelbuilding. I think that he meant his first finished levels, but im not sure.

That’s a joke, right? These are really your first levels? The eyecandy is perfect, the music is great. The levels are fun and easy. If these are your first, i’d sure like to see the next ones.

very nice levels and musics
Good! But Is there any story. What is the meaning of this episode. How Jazz/Spaz get there?
I’m wondering that.
But good work otherwise.
No eyecandy. Not too much of enemies.
Also, Hard for beginners, not for me.
But it was very fun to play this episode. 8.5

RATING NIGHT WORLD

The levels are mostly not very easy. There are bosses and not too much or too less Bad Guys. Only the Bilsy is pretty easy.
Rating: 8.8

I started playing this. It was very good. Enemies were placed well and itwas fun. Not too frustrating, but difficult. The first level was a sea shore. The islands raised up at a certain point. There were crabs to shoot. Food was placed well. Not too little, not too much. After swimming the 2nd time, I reached the exit. Then I went in a jungle. I needed a lot of moves, such as escaping the rocks and swinging on vines. I passed through satisfied. I beat Schwartzenguard. Here I go in an ancient town. I had to pass through sewer and to break blocks with specific ammo. There were the inhabitants of the town trying to stop me, but I destroyed them. They are no match for Jazz. Well, i went in the town castle, wich had inhabitants trying to stop you also. This is starting to be an unbelievable and unforgettable night. There was a rock to push to climb, bit as I play this with TSF, it’s for Lori hard to climb up that wall. When I beat the queen which guards it, I get in the Chemical X lab, which has a lot of experiments, which also gets me, like the bird morph. When I flee, I get in an even older castle, which has soldiers and ghosts, and I fight Bubba. Well,Now I am back to carrotus. Yay. Now I must find Bilsy’s base and destroy him. Better not die, or else I lose the fastfire and can’t finish. Well, many objects were used. Musics placed were very cuddly (especially the shore one). My rating is 9. Download recommended.

WOW!
This is just amazing.
At the first place:
You perfectly build up the levels and they’re just as much fun and energic as the official Levels, well done!
At the second place:
The music is nice. The tracks fit with the levels, zo another good point.
At the third and last place:
The levels are great for the real players. The secrets are very well hidden, the enemies make it real hard levels and all the pickups are very well lay-out.
Final opinion:
A real MUST HAVE for the real Jazz2 player. Good Music and Good levels, some tiny mini defaults, makes me come up with a 9.7
Great Job, keep on the good work.

i’ve just finished it. it’s epic, also with those really old tilesets! it has the oldschool atmosphere like the in the original game. the eyecandy was all okey, everything were placed good. it could be a little harder, mainly the boss battle.. i liked the secrets really, btw the bonus level could be more creative and longer but that was good also (: i found everything, i think, but i enjoyed looking for the coins (:
thank you, great work!
I have to say these are very good levels. While playing I felt like I was on the original levels. They have very good music especially the first level, good eyecandy and you deal well with the tilesets. I even found a bonus level which reminds me of the JJ1 bonus level (no enemies, can’t die, full of goodies). Also i found a great amount of secrets (probably there are even more that i didn’t find). The medivo level was a bit short and weird but whatever (kinda reminded me of medivo 2 from JJ1). Difficulty: not too hard not too easy. I don’t remember dieing but my health definitely went to 1 a few times. It’s a must try for JJ2 single player fans.
Download definitely recommended.

I like the Night World levels, with lot of eyecandy, and some secrets. I also modified these levels with new tilesets and even AngelScript codes, for example transition of level’s colors, Bilsy as scripted enemy in Jungle Party level (I can only beat him with physical attacks, before there is a code IGNOREBULLET), and even scripted enemies in Underground Base (boss changed from Bilsy to Devan, and Bubbas and Bilsys are scripted enemies in hard mode).
