Wow. This is an amazingly cool level.
The sub thing was superb, not a flaw there. Also, the way you had the small mask stopping you but letting bullets through is an amazing idea.
The level at the start could be better though, the first area was poorly masked and I found myself trapped.
On the other hand, the bad guy idea with keeping him stationarry and only firing was again an amazing idea.
This is a MUST download.
Hmmm…i really didn’t expect this. Somehow. Well, anyways…its definitely one of the most original and creative and breathtaking level creations of the last few months.
The single player level itself is not too challenging but you’ll enjoy the level so much that you’ll completely forget about design or eyecandy (but i, as a reviewer, should not forget about it: the eyecandy is really amazing throughout the level!). Only small downfall is that there is no background music! (and i really wonder why)
But after all, it seems like the Beatles were quite right: we all live in a (yellow) submarine! “hunt for red october” is A MUST DOWNLOAD FOR EVERY Jazz2 fan![This review has been edited by Aiko]
I agree with Bobby. The idea is so original. Once I had finished the level I immediatly rushed to jcs to check it out. :)
Only bad point is the start of the level.. the masks are quite bad. But that doesn’t get me to give you a much lower score.

This level indeed is quite original, but it has some major bugs in it, not just at the start.
Still, this level is worth downloading…

This was a terrific level!
Qaz has used the wealth of tiles to create a fine piece of aquatic Jazzing.
From the design of the submarines to the masking, every effort has been made to bring a good idea to a convincing level, though there are some bugs.

You used some excellent ideas here, I love that sub idea. Even though this level is immensly creative, it is also immensly buggy and annoying. You should have tested this more, if you would have this would get about a 9 or so.
Otherwise, you used some amazing ideas. I could go into JCS right now just to see how you did some of those great ideas…
I just loved the way you get to swim around in that submarine, even though it’s hard to move and aim your bullets. I also think that the enemies weren’t placed very well, but the submarine idea makes up for a lot of this.
Niftyness! This is one of the most origenal singleplayer levels i`ve seen in sometime. The sub idea is cinda cool, so is the enemy sub(Bolly). My only complaint: No background music.(i wonder why)

What everyone else said I guess. Eyecandy was semi-decent/decent, looked a bit clustered in the beginning and it was hard to tell what was masked and what wasn’t. Didn’t like the beginning much overall, but the end was rux. Great submarine idea, and nice final boss. This is old yet I havent seen anything else like it. Definite download reccomendation.

Good level.
The beginning of the level was not so good. The enemy placement was bad and the gameplay was not good, especially the masks.
But the rest of the level was really good. The submarine idea was great and the boss was really cool and original. The gameplay was good except that it’s quite hard too aim.
This is a good level but it could be better, so I give it a 8.
Yes, well I couldn`t get past the dodgy generators at the beginning so I HAD to cheat (jjfly & jjnowall) but, when I had checked it out,…AMAZIING!

Good level. The sub part was great, as was the boss. Good work!
Level is so cool,it’s original. Has some minor bugs,but deserves a high rating.
That`s been so cool… But how did you get thet sub ? I´ve tried and tried but I couldn`t get it! please make the same level without p.w. XD
Perhaps by 2001 standards this was considered a great, innovative level. Comparing this level to modern levels with similar high ratings, I believe it aged like milk.
The first half of the level is just a narrow path with barely any space to jump. The only thing that makes this level stand out whatsoever is the layer trickery used to make it look like the player is piloting a submarine in the second half of the level. Enemy positions are spammed almost randomly. The visuals are mediocre, leaning towards bad.
Not worth downloading.
I could NEVER pass up a Tubelectric level ;)
Now that’s the best level i’ve seen in quite a while. I dunno what to say…Check it out for yourself.

That submarine thingy is cooler than Agama’s tilesets I’m maybe going to use this idea in my next episode I’m not going to make taht tweedle episode
(Unsupported rating (10) removal. It’s nice that you like being a submarine, and it’s nice that you have an episode and all that, but could you review the level? 10 is an extremely high rating, so it would be nice to see some explanation of why this level gets a 10. ~Violet)
It deffently a impreasive level, but the boss fight was the only good part. There was no music, or fair minon fighting along the way. It would have been better if it was easyer to see where you were going.
Nonetheless if it wasn’t for that kick butt fight at the end this review would have been 4. so that saved this game alot.
And also, because you included the password to play with this level…I give it a Download Recommendation, that way people can learn how to pull this stuff off, and hopefully build off of it.

This level is great, but there are some places that you can’t reach (when you are on the submarine. Still, I think you weren’t supposed to get there. There should be a way to get off the submarine. The final boss is difficult to kill, because I shot at him and it didn’t do any damage at all. Despite this bugs, it is a great level, Perhaps should have been on an episode?
