Wow!!! With this CTF level pack, ShadowGPW proves it again: he is one of the best level designers of all times. “The Future Evolution” includes three absolutely stunning CTF maps using the Tube Electric and two of DethMan’s awesome CyberSpaz tilesets. One of the best CTF packs i’ve ever seen. Amazing! The design and layout of the levels in unbelievable and so is the eyecandy. Spaceships, insane tube constructions, you’ll get everything here!
Not to forget the music: very fresh, very rocking tunes using the classic tracking style. Great choice, great!
Shadow, i bow down to you! I hope my rating isn’t too high (8.5!!! Makes me dizzy :-).
To sum it up, if you don’t download this, you don’t want to download anything else because you can’t be a Jazz player in that case. Things like this make people like me thinking about converting to CTF fans ;-) DOWNLOAD NOW!

P.S.: One little bug that should be corrected quickly (by re-uploading!): The Shockwave map has a wrong next level setting.

P.P.S.: While playing, i recognized another major bug. In “Waste House” the red team has the same (unfair) starting pos. as the blue team! Should really be corrected or i have to lower my rating.[This review has been edited by Aiko]

This thing rocks. The Tube Electric level is the best CTF level I’ve ever seen. Afcourse.. I don’t play CTF much =)

WOW 3 very awesome CTF levels.

Use of the tilesets, music choices, eye candy and much much more is super awesomeness.
2 of these levels use the CyberSpaz tilesets. The way you used them was superb.
The eye candy in all of these was great to look at.

My only real complaint, sometimes the levels’ size leads some some confusion… base routes are quite hard to get down, and the overall feel of the levels confused me.

Overall this wasn’t the BEST CTF pack I’ve played, but is definitely a great choice for any Jazzer.

I had the oppurtunity to play this with Aiko, Flea, Stiletto, and others this morning and I must say it’s fabulous (:

Not much more to be said, except that I disagree with iCeD that the levels are too big. I love big CTFs. My favorite is definitely the second one. The music selection is AWESOME as well, although I’m not sure why you edited Smile, the original was so cool!

Heh, Shadow, I beta tested ShockWave too, remember? =P

Installation went fine, with a readme too… only thing that kept this from getting a plus was that stupid level string on Shockwave. Fix it, or else. ;P

    INSTALLATION RATING: =

Spectacular eyecandy. One minor gripe is it becomes almost TOO confusing in some places. Nice job here.

    EYECANDY: 2.9/3

Navigation? Hmm. It was a bit difficult, but that’s good, to an extent. I saw a few springs that did nothing… =P There were multiple routes through bases but I didn’t notice any “secret” routes or any corners you could cut and all that good replayablitity stuff. The carrot placement, IMHO, sucked. They were totally unbalanced with the powerups and isolated, too. You want your carrots out of the way, but not plain isolated.
Weapons? Unbalanced with the carrots and a little overdone in some places, but good.

    WEAPONS: 1.2/2
    NAVIGATION/CARROTS: 2.7/4
    SUBTOTAL: 3.9/6

Felt pretty good, and polished, but somehow they felt pretty bland. Maybe it was the warp usage, or the lack of secret routes. Maybe it was the initially difficult routes. But whatever it was, it didn’t feel that great.

    OVERALLFEELING”: 0.6/1

This one gets a d/l reccomendation. It’s a pity, because these levels would need a lot of practice to get good on, but they’re too buggy to practice consistently on. =/

    TOTAL SCORE: 7.4/10
    ROUNDED SCORE: 7.5/10

I love it! These are some of the best CTF levels I have ever seen. These were the levels that I have always imagined would be created. A little big, but i guess that is why I need to learn it!

To start my review, i wanted to say that i am hpy to see such quality levels here. ‘The future evolution’ by ShadowGpW is a incredible CTF pack. With this, Shadow once again proves that he is one of the very greatest level designers ever. Eyecandy was beautiful. Shadow made terific use of the ‘Tubelectric’ tileset by epic, and the ‘Cyberspaz 1A’ and ‘Cyberspaz 2V’ stes by his (ex)fellow Mystic Legends member Dethman. I liked the space ships flying across the screen in ‘Forcedraw’. The names for the level, ‘Shockwave’, ‘Forcedraw’ and ‘Waste house’ where also pretty creative, and as you know, every quality level needs a good level name:P. The design was very fluent and circular, with tubes used in lots of places, and was very well playeble. The ammo placement was also good. I relay enjoyed this. New ideas everywhere. The whole thing also used 3 terific music files, ‘The genesis factor’ and ‘The digital dawn’ by Sorath, and ‘Tempest 2000’ by Wessy. The music files fit like nothing else would. I higly recomend this to everyone. ‘Nuff said.[This review has been edited by >CelL<]
