This level uses a (presumably) seldmade tileset which hasnt got much to use, the level uses whatever there is to use in the tileset, but still is a bad one.
There is like 1 minute needed to complete the level.
I do not recommend downloading this, its a pure waste of space.
Next time chi chi, I advise you to get a tileset you can work with. There are many pokemon tilesets (5 i know of) and most of them are far more easy then this one.
Good luck.

aiai….very BAD
~Bad use of tileset
~the music was NOT included the zipfile :S
~bad weapon placement
~you have to make some new layers.
~bad background
Everybody thinks it’s very easy to make levels. But it isn’t! It’s not 1 minute work.
Use another tileset and make a real level.
I don’t recommend to downloading this.

i am a huge pokemon fan, but i am really dissapointed in the pokemon stuff that is made here on jazz…
as F!re mentioned it is Viridian City :)
u cant really call this a battle lvl, its more a little lvl that the author made in which was tried to put some fun stuff in it, not decent battle stuff.
u walk around a small viridian forest, then enter the gym thats about all. not a very good lvl, might want to download…might…

First of all, Chi Chi DZ, you should always tell us who made the tileset that your level uses. It has large effect on my rating!
Well, “Veridian city” seems to use a nice little selfmade tileset containing about 310 tiles, mostly showing comic stuff from the japanese tv show, that seems to quite popular these days (i have to admit that i don’t really know or like it). Apart from the comic stuff, the tileset also features some nice platforms (good idea!) and a whole lot of funny animations (some people will find them funny i suppose :-).
As some other reviewers already mentioned, the level itself is neither a real battle nor anything else, which makes it a problem to give a clear opinion. Fortunately the design is kinda good and i even noticed some discreet eyecandy. The background is interesting but not really beautiful. On a side note, TSF’s “Frolick Lane” fits okay as the background music (i will always prefer custom music for custom tilesets, though).
Overall, “Veridian city” is only VERY slightly below the average (because i don’t see a clear level concept). But i’m 100% sure the author tried his best here. Keep making tilesets and levels! Well, Pokemon fans will love this anyways. Everyone else might want to have a look it at, too. Decide for yourself.
Oh and F!re, you should watch your language a bit.

Ugh, I didn’t like this level too much.
To start off, you could have credited the author, whoever he/she may be, of the tileset (as Aiko already mentioned). As for the level itself, well, the bg was annoying (and only looked “right” on 16 bit!) and the design was pretty linear, way too linear for a multiplayer level. The eye could also use some improvement, but overall it was one of the better things in the level (as dull as it looked)
Overall I can’t recommend a download, sorry.

I’m giving this a level a really long review. I’m not sure why, but for some reason I feel slightly compelled to do so. I bet that I will regret wasting my time on doing so, but here we go. I will admit that I was, and still am slightly, a Pokemon fan. However, I must say that I am, like the previous reviewers, extremely disappointed in pretty much all the Pokemon levels I have seen to this date. It seems that Pokemon fans think that they don’t necessarily have to build a good level if it just suits Pokemon fans. This could not be less true. And this level demonstrates this seemingly common misconception. Eyecandy is awful. The tileset is used completely incorrectly, which is disappointed, because this tileset is really, really, really easy to use in the first place. Gameplay is even worse. To say this level has bad flow would be an insult to bad flow. It’s almost impossible to smoothly move around in this level without bumping into a Pokemon. This is another example of a disappointing phenomenom of eyecandy being treated better than gameplay. Not that this level’s eyecandy is good at all. Weapon placement is also laughable. Just look at this level and you’ll instantly know what I mean. Weapons are clumped together and really badly placed to the extent that most battles will happen in a very small area. This is good, because moving around in this level is torturously hard and ends up being not worth the trouble. This review is fairly harsh so far because this level it so bad. However, there were some good attempts at creating actual viable level content. While most of them failed badly, some stood out as noticable entries in the plus column. I noticed that there were some viable attempts as eyecandy, but they generally came off looking as very cheap. There was also some attempt at creating flow, but the Pokemon characters got in the way of these plans. This level could have had almost average flow if it wasn’t for these annoying characters constantly getting in the way of actual playing. I guess that huge (and I mean obsessive, Pokemon-underwearing, I-would-marry-Pikachu-if-it-was-legal-to-marry-rodents-and-it-actually-existed, I’ve-memorized-the-Pokemon-foot-prints-and-wrote-a-thesis-statement-on-it huge) Pokemon fans might enjoy this level, but for the other 99.9999999999999% of the world, I would seriously recommend this badly-designed Pokemon level. In short, no download recommendation (even for diehard Pokemon fans.) You can find levels that are much better than this, even in a themed-level area that is practically completely devoid of good levels. Keep making levels, but not Pokemon ones. Or hotels. One day you could be really good.
