Hello

This is a update of the old JJ2mp3 V.1.3.
This tool that was developed by Sfaizst and DJazz. Sfaizst made the program, and I made the PHP and server hosting, and beta-tested by Grytolle and Usbkaunoo.

This tool plays MP3 files/youtube movies (music only).

Here is some features:

  • Stream MP3 files from server
  • Stream from YouTube (no video, only sound/music. Title is showing)
  • You can upload your own MP3’s to the server (files must be accepted by an admin)
  • Online Music List and player!
  • Supports ID3-tags (Title and artist)
  • Buttons that start/stop all music playing

EDIT: The mp3 fileserver is always online,

If you find any bugs or error, read ReadMe FAQ.
If that don’t fix your problem, please post the error here.
(This tool was developed before JJ2+ mp3 support, so, who “stealed” the idea?)

    When I looked this upload,I was disappointed,but not by the program. I am talking about reviews. I see a few “1.x” reviews that make me really angry. You all take for a reason why you gave the rating 1 the fact that “JJ2+ already has MP3 support and it’s useless now.” I see something bad in it. Isn’t that really bad for a reason to give a rating 1? If I remember good,cooldude’s review for a program by a “good” player saying “i dont see any use in it” with rating 1 was deleted. So why these reviews are not deleted? Maybe because,well,a newbie (no offense) uploaded this? Or because “respected people” wrote the reviews?

    Again on the reason: “now we have plus who needs this” isn’t an excuse to rate this 1. Why don’t you go and rate Carrotade and Grytolle’s versions 1? They are useless,we have plus now!

    Why not? Because Blur and Grytolle uploaded those?

    I don’t really think Blur stole the MP3 idea,but what if he did? Would anyone say “BLUR STOLE IT BLUR STOLE IT”? No. Why? Because Blur is respected community member. And what if Djazz and Sfaizst stole it from Blur?
    Everyone would go like “THEY DID IT THEY DID IT” theory.

    You now see what I wanted to say. Rating this 1 and getting away with it because a newbie uploaded this,isn’t really nice.

    Now on the review:
    I like the idea. It has some bugs,but it’s nice. I think I can ignore the bugs and give it 7.6.

    Delete this,I don’t care. But it will show this again.

    yes this looks like cool but i believe in something one better , i believe if u have mp3,s that fit certain levels u need an sort of program that suports the mp3 yes , but without alot of bullshit like that insead of only xm jj2 brings mp3 suport , not like streaming music but that a proram next to jj2 so that ur music is in better quality greetzzz

    I see no point in this upload.
    It is no different than the latest JJ2+, infact it’s worse.
    I wouldn’t normally do this, but the fact that you put an illegal link to JJ2 in your level IN MULTIPLE PLACES disgusts me.
    For this reason, I will give you a negative dl rec, and a rating of 1.3, because it could be usable by some inconceivably long stretch of imagination, but is a terrible waste of disk space. I hope the admins will remove such content from J2O.

    Just to make it clear that this is NOT an attack in any way on djazz. I simply see no good in this download.

    But the point is…There IS no difference between this and JJ2+, because JJ2+ ALREADY provides mp3 support! I don’t even use Youtube, and having more windows open simply makes the game even slower. I see no point, and cannot recommend a download! Thank you for your politeness though.

    I’m afraid I don’t see the point of using this utility since JJ2+ now supports mp3 audio. Well, the difference is that you wouldn’t need to have the audio files on your PC, but that’s just about all. Nothing more.

    You should also work on your English, I was annoyed when I opened the program and saw a message saying “The JJ2MP3 Server is offline or have some Problems, only YouTube Support Work”.

    So, this program is completely useless. If you don’t have enough storage for MP3 files on your computer, you could just listen to some online radio. I guarantee it’d be better.

    I’d also like to mention that there is a button within the program leading to a site where users can download Jazz Jackrabbit 2 free of charge which is illegal. There are such links in the readme file too. Please re upload your program without the links, thank you.

    The facts that it’s useless, contains links to illegal content and the text’s written in Engrish mean you should not download this program. It’s junk. You still get 0.5 points for the effort.

    *edit:*@djazz: I wasn’t talking about whether the server was online or not but about how poorly the message was written.
    It doesn’t matter who put a link to a site where the game can be illegally obtained but the fact it’s there. You should remove it.

    edit @Sfaizst: Oh yes, you are completely right. BlurredD must have stolen your idea! You should now press charges against him for doing that! And really, who even uses JJ2+? Most of its features already were in other programs that came out way before plus did. BlurredD is such a thief!
    I’m also looking forward to your upload of JJU or whatever you call it. I’m sure there are more people using JJU than ones using a legal copy of the game.

    while this may seem like a good idea, it really isn’t.

    What this Does
    This is basically a utility designed to play live streaming MP3 or youtube audio over a server. It is however, poorly exacted. Why would i want to use this? Jazz2+ supports MP3 already and even in I’m using the normal version, I think a regular song would work better. I know this came before MP3’s were in Jazz2, but even so, I shouldn’t really want to use this. It’s an inconvenience to have another window open along with anything else your running. The library does have a lot of songs to it, but I don’t really like a lot of them. I may be wrong, but haven’t I seen some of these songs uploaded to J2O? The youtube thing doesn’t really add anything. The one thing that really rates this down is the fact you gave out links to places where you can download ALL version of Jazz without permission.

    Overall, I don’t really see the point in this download and I think using Jazz2+ or searching for a song on J20 or Mod archive is a better choice. No download recommended and please take down those links!

    I don’t really know how to rate this, but I can’t really understand what the benefit of being able to stream music in JJ2 is. The streaming server is not always online apparently, and the result is that whether a level using this will actually have music is mostly a gamble. This is not what you’d want when creating one. You also need a permanent internet connection and the tool needs to run alongside JJ2. I think spending 10 minutes on browsing modarchive for a suitable song, or downloading the MP3 you want to use, is a better idea.

    Now i need to say some words too:

    I know my bad english, but i think its not to hard to understand

    We started developing the Tool on September of 2008, the first versions we had a lot of friends and a funny time, the first sever got be hacked, we started agian, the second too, now we are on the 3rd server, we use a better system, this new works without problems now.

    But what i not understand why none of you understand the big diffrence to the + mp3 support, this support is quite not for single player games, its an additional tool for Online playing games, we choosen the ‘Secret Filed’ in Jcs to enter the title, the reason is:
    This filed is not often used and no one who is not using the tool is really attaced.

    So finally i think its better to play online with a streaming title from YouTube or the Server else to download a title choosen from the JJ2server witch needs 10 minutes or more (the most time is the sevrer with level cycling faster)

    I’m happy to see some persons respect our work on this Tool and be quite more happy if you one day use it

    Edit: I forgot to say, online I see more Servers using our Tool else using the + mp3 support (This is not a attack to + users or the developer its only a fact)

    Hmm, i hate to repead me, but i think you not understand me, the diffrence IS to play from youtube or a server, i personally hate it to hear no music from the server when I’m playing online, i have some mp3s on my Pc too, but when i wish to hear the mp3 or mod file the server selected i need a lot minutes to find it,… to download it and to implement it to my JJ folder, as well my so small disk space is going down too.

    The JJ2mp3 support is smaller then 2Mb , so smaller as the most Mp3s you can find in the internet
    (I know, we all have HDD problems, HDDs are the most time in new PCs over 250gb big but we have no place for a Tool what needs at this 250gb 0,0008% of it)

    And as well i think this with the illegal content you can find in links on the readme or in this tool arent the problem here too, just look on the page of the list server digiex, go to the
    Forum —> Games —> Jazz Jackrabbit 2 —> what do you see??

    But finally i think you not want to understand it so no word what I’m saying here will change ur oppinion about this tool

    So a nice 2009

    This mp3 tool came before the JJ2+ mp3 support. We had already made an early version a couple of months ago, but this is the update.

    The server is now online 24h per day!

    And JJultimate is Sfaizst thing, I haven’t made it.

    And plus stealed our idea, we was first with mp3 in JJ2
