Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Online

Last year (that’s 2008), I returned to Jazz Jackrabbit 2’s online community after three years of absence. I was rather surprised by the following things:
-JJ2+. And there I was thinking you guys would still be using Project Controller.
-An online community more active than the one I left, considering that JJ2’s community was in steady decline (with regards to numbers) since its release.
-A general absence of new levels.

It was this last point that drove me to start making lots of levels. Lots of levels. I even finished a few of them.

What I upload here represents most of the stuff I finished. Unfortunately, all of it sucks.

Most of the levels here are labeled with their gametype. The “bat” levels are battle levels, and you can guess what “ctf” means; minslwug.j2l and mininfested.j2l are both battle levels. minJBwarhouse.j2l is Jailbreak. That’s JJ2+ Jailbreak, by the way.

As far as levels among these that might actually be playable? minslwug.j2l is probably the closest to that, and possibly minJBwarhouse.j2l.
minbatpack1a.j2l and minbatpack6.j2l might also be fun – neither are suited for “serious” play at all, but both have very unusual designs.
All the CTF levels are horrible. Sorry.

Music is not included and will not be included. If you particularily want to find a track, you should be able to find it either on this website (search for the filename) or on modarchive.org (search for the filename).

This upload is N/A only for three reasons: they’re old, they’re inconsistent, and most weren’t even “polished up” (which is to say, there might be balance issues or even bugs).

Better not waffle on any longer. Download this if you want a laugh.

EDIT: It’s possible that some level files have developed small errors. If you see anything in a level that looks completely wrong, tell me; I’m really not in the mood to be checking over all of these.

EDIT: Also, a lot of the previews are wrong. Fixed the “corrupted” tiles in minslwug.j2l.
