This .zipfile contains a edited version(i editet a lilbit myself)of the .xm file called burman which can be downloaded on the modarchive. Ehm o yeah the level. This ctf level has been made in damn1 i havent seen a lvl made in this tileset for ages so ithought ill build one in it. the piont is to freeze the springs to get to the ctf base it works good so getting the flag is a lil harder. Warning dont play this level in split screen mode cause than it ill have layer bugs. well ive done my best and i hope ypull like it.
ENJOY!
The design was pretty good. Not breathtaking tough.
The eyecandy is pretty good too.
It’s cool that you have put a readme file in the zip, but next time don’t waste your time on graphics.. and make it a pure ascii file. The word document and it’s layout add nothing but extra kilobytes to the size of the zip file.
The music choice is very bad. Please do not chose hardrock/hardcore or anything to the extreme to a level because not everybody likes such styles. Instead put up styles that aren’t disliked by people who dislike those styles(ie: they don’t work on your nerves)[This review has been edited by Fquist]
This level is pretty cool. It has a pretty good design, and nice eycandy. I like the idea of how to get into the bases, nice touch. If you like CTF, you should download this. I spotted few errors.
The idea to put the bases behind springs that need to be frozen is better than most longer game attempts (mainly bonus warps).
I haven’t seen many levels in D.A.M.N. Tileset either so Ill give this a good ol’ 7.2
Hmm this review was a bit on the short side.
I think the weapon placement is okay too.[This review has been edited by BlackDeath]
Same procedure as every time: thanks for not putting an SP starting event. CTF players stink!! :-)
Errr…okay, back to my review:
The layout of “Flaming Flags” is pretty good, circular, good weapon and powerup placement and so on. The eyecandy is okay and the D.a.m.n tileset is underused anyways (good idea, F!re).
Nevertheless i found some small things i dislike: the spring constructions at the bases can get very annoying after a while, as well as the heavy metal music (“The Fat Price” by a guy called Salkin…just a bit overdone, F!re, don’t you think?), which really isn’t worth its 850 KB size.
Plus, what Fquist said about the readme file is very true.
Still, a very decent CTF map that should fit well for some online jump and run action…i recommend you to CLiCK THE DOWNLOAD button :-)
