Wow I thought only Agama could make that good stuff;P I like this set a lot, very good tiles! I think its only a bit hard in use (for me hehe).
U got to download this one!
Oh wow! This breathtaking new tileset release by Toxic Bunny has about 1000(!!!) great “3Dish” looking tiles for custom level building.
“War Torn” reminds me a bit of “Metropolis” by bluez (mainly because it has the same theme…an abandoned, cold city…and blizzards :). But actually what we see here is a new, very own style. I’ve never seen something similar in Jazz2 before. Everything looks very clear and detailed and it simply creates an intense playing atmosphere. Apart from some colourful structures (red, dark green and brown), the dominating colour of the set is stone gray. Otherwise, the variety of “War Torn” is awesome: it has different kinds of 3D tubes (“Worlds Largest Drains” :), rendered background landscapes and even some little animations, not to mention signs, arrows and the like. Too much to list here, you have to see it yourself :-)
Toxic Bunny also jampacked the ZiP archive with two example single levels (the tileset comes in two versions: night and day, but you really don’t see much difference, some minor palette shifting i guess :-). Surprisingly, the levels are quite long and not even bad (remember, they’re example levels that try to show the use of the tileset). Very well done, Toxic Bunny!
All in all, “War Torn” is one of the best tilesets i’ve seen the past few months and if you don’t DOWNLOAD THiS ONE iMMEDiATELY, i really don’t know what you’re doing here anymore.
Pretty darn good! Get it now, nothing more to say.
What they said :)
I am in a bit of an uninspired mood right now, and I’m out of material for a good long review. Just read Aiko’s ;P
Wow super set…
The tileset reminds me a lil bit to a ghostcity with good painted and detailed tiles .YOu painted almost all possibilites to the tiles.Maybe a lil bit hard to use it for a lvl.But ome original ideas.
YOu must have this
I command you to read Aikos review. Now.
this is cool. nice totally usuable tileset. great graphics. deserves the score! download it.
The mountains in the background dont fit with the tileset and it isnt such a great tileset, I do like the drains..so a 7.2
I like the tileset, very good, although I think it has too many grey in it.. if you could make some lighter/darker versions in the same set, that would make it less boring.
Not my kind of set to make a level with, but it looks censored good

Woo! Fabulous tileset. :-D Now…er…I’m getting sick writing long reviews cause my fingers hurts like h*ll afterwards so I’m just gonna write a short one:
War Torn is a very good tileset with a nice 3D-ish look. It is very original and has got many things a fairly “normal” tileset doesn’t. There aren’t many animations in this tileset but it doesn’t matter.
Download recommendation.
Cheers,
White Rabbit.
BTW: Toxic Bunny? You’re crap in battle2!! ;-D (Joke)
I never knew this was uploaded, but I have always wanted to rate it.
Simply put, “War Torn” is one of my favorite tilesets of all time. In fact, it is right up there with 7th Lava Fall in my “second place” column (behind anything Agama has ever made of course.) I first saw this postapocolyptic tileset used in EvilMike’s Distopia and have unable to forget it since. It looks much like a city that is, as its name suggests, suffering from the aftermath of some sort of war. Still, for a city that is supposed to be mostly exploded, it looks quite spiffy. The buildings are very well textured and the green tubes, while they do not exactly make complete sense for the surroundings, do give a cool high-tech feel to any creation. Also included are various other types of tiles, including some that make a pretty good sewer. There are few missing pieces, although hooks and vines would have been a worthwhile addition (even though they would slightly detract from the theme of the tileset.) The only bad thing that I could think of is that this tileset can be really hard to use in some cases. Sometimes, the tile that I needed just was not there. I was able to substitute other tiles for it, but I would rather that these tiles were included. Still, an excellent level can be made with this tileset, and it is absolutely worth a download. In fact, I recommend you do so immediately. It sort of reminds me of “Metropolis” by Bluez (oh, Aiko said that. Heh.) This tileset also has a strange 3D feel, despite not actually being 3D (same with “Metropolis.”) This really makes it a worthwhile tileset and one of my favorites. In short: a nine point two and a recommendation to download this tileset. Now. Or face the wrath of the Snufuss.
+ PROS: Excellent 3D-ishness, jam packed with lots of features, just looks great.
- CONS: Not much to crow about. It’s a bit hard to use, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
VERDICT: Every self-respecting Jazz Jackrabbit 2 fan should download this now. It is severely underused. Download it. Make levels with it. Date it. Marry it. At least download it. (A nine point two verdict for this. Great job, Toxic Bunny. You’ve outdone yourself this time. Again. :-)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
I like this tileset, but I don’t like the mask too much. The example level level is also quite nice. I liked how you made it so you could put lightning on your levels!
Download, definetely.
This tileset rules!
Download recommedation!
Nice tileset. :)
Great! If you noticed, I used it in Operation Kick Shell…It’s interesting, a little hard to use but it’s nice!
