I really do not like the usage of those very old 4 bit game tilesets in Jazz 2.
Besides, these ones lack of elements.
AND they are in TSF when they’re way smaller than 1K tiles.
what i have updated in this version is:
- separated the tilesets,so you’ll find these tilesets together:
– Forrest morning day & night & mountain* day & night
– beach day,sunset & night
– stone caves (yellow, lime, green, orange and gray)
– brick caves (brown,yellow,orange,purple,red & icy blue)
– castles in 8 different colors (i added 2 more colors :D)
- added many diagonal grounds (excepting mountain)
- added some ground bottoms to forrest & beach,so now you can create floating grounds
- added starry skies for forrest night & beach night
- added spikes in castles tileset
- added foggy tiles(dark and light) to brick caves tileset
- added dark backgrounds to stone caves, brick caves and castles backgrounds
- fixed the fire mask(so now it should hurt when you jump on it)
- fixed ground masks(now jazz shouldn’t float on grassy grounds)
- fixed palm trees in beach, now you can jump on trees
- fixed moving block’s mask
what i haven’t done:
- textured background cause there’s too less color in the pallette and it would look ugly
- some eyecandy
- original music cause whenever i try to convert it doesn’t start in game :(
- some other things on which i haven’t thought yet
mountain* – it’s the level where there’s only gray looking ground and looks like a fence
Instalation:
- all .J2t and .J2l files go to Jazz2 folder
- and copy the tiles folder in the jazz 2 folder only if you want to modify it(P.S. I don’t mind if you edit this tileset and post it,i only ask you to mention me in the credits please :D)
