Pretty awesome stuff, though there were some areas where the pinball paddles were kinda hard to use optimally while going down slopes. Love the clock and bottom section.
EDIT #2:Fixed a UID collision which on occasion prevented the bottom right +1 carrot from spawning for some players
EDIT:To continue the trend of old maps being updated and bumped to the front page, I updated both the level and tileset to fix a lot of eyecandy bugs. Also I added some more ammo pickups and shortened the respawn time on some of the ammo, in particular the rotating rings of gun8.
The long awaited sequel to the original Pinball Arena. I didn’t intend to create any more multiplayer maps after Castamere, however a sequel to Pinball Arena had was something I had wanted to make for a while now but for some reason after another never had time to accomplish. Thanks to the continued tradition of the JJ2 Anniversary Bash and a sudden burst of motivation coinciding with some free time, on the 10th year commemorating the release of the original map this sequel was finally spawned into existence.
Optimal for 6 or more players, reccomended with /fireball on. Due to the tileset size and angelscript, this map requires the latest plus version and TSF.
Thanks to everyone who helped out with testing the map, especially Salamander. Sir Ementaler’s Shimmering Cavern is the original source and inspiration for the rotating Gun8 rings script, and Agama’s Swamps and Overlord’s Top Secret 3 are the original sources for some of the tile additions in this custom Tubelectric tileset edited by myself.
The Seeker room employs an anti-camp death system where the whole room fills with deadly radiation which rapidly bleeds your health away. There is a brief warning before this occurs when the alarm system flashes on, after which it’s impossible to escape. The tunnel systems in the map have optional fly carrots, which can be used for tactical advantages and can be used in combination with the sucker tubes for some shortcuts and tricks. The map also uses anti-gravity.

The rich array of animations and other details result in a spectacular looking level that is bursting with energy. The layout is simple but well constructed, with some fun and quirky gameplay elements. An abundance of ammo and powerups makes this enjoyable in large games. The flow is a little awkward in the lower parts, but it’s no big deal.
Probably the best CTF level of its size so far.
I really like this level. I remembrer it in Annvicersary Bash 18 pack and it’s awesome! I recommend everybody to download this!
Edit: It also appeared in Anniversary Bash 17 and Anniversary Bash 20!
An impressive level, thematically and eye-candy-wise.
You can’t easily enter the bases from the areas directly below them, as you’re forced to go even lower or take a repetitive series of platforms, and even the top area forces you to butt-stomp to enter them, making you vulnerable. If that’s your cup of tea, I hope you enjoy it, but I think those aspects are annoying.
Without careful play, attempting to camp and/or take the seeker pu can kill you, and I like that aspect, but way more in smaller games or duels.
The navigation may be a little more flipper-reliant than necessary, as springs could be easier to use for areas lacking a lot of choices, etc.
The layout, ammo placement, and everything else seems to be very solid.
Is this a GREAT level? – Definitely, but it’s not without its flaws in my opinion.
