ETs Planet 1 Tileset, by et, requires version 1.23

Description

One of many of the planets that have been deserted, ET now owns. We have been given permission to use some of his land to set up a few competitions. The land is purple and isn’t very steady. The core of it has been destroyed by the amount of acid this planet produces. Some of the old civilizations of the aliens that use to live on this planet can be seen. On this planet there are acid power plant provided to us to use, by ET. He has also given us some building materials, which are made of an acid proof metal. With this and the planets natural shape, this planet will provide great battle, CTF and treasure grounds.

    Very good! I`m glad that there are still people out there who can make such quality tilesets. The level is`nt that very good, but since this was uploaded under “tileset”, its the set where talki`n about. The tileset has a very space, futuristic look. The metal stuff was very well drawn, so was the textured 3D background. The tileset is very well useable for future based spacel levels and such. Download now. I`m telling you. Dont read this.     WOW! Absolutely fabulous! Great eyecandy! I’ll just give this tile a brief review:

    There’s loads of metallic 3D blox around, background stuff like mountains and acid rain, blox for destroying, vines, caves stuff, weird looking hooky thingys (or warp thingys), bridges and stuff, good looking texts and all sorts of spacey stuff. And…of course everythings neatly toned. ;-)

    I’ll give this an MEGA-BIG rating of 9.5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Cause I felt like so ;-P)

    ET, you’re back! Remember me, from that level group? :) Anyway, good tileset. I’m not sure, but I’m also taking this tileset into consideration for one of my packs. :) It has cool alien-y stuff, and from the title, I think we can except more. It all is very well drawn. There are only a few errors, nothing major. Download reccomandation here. :)

    Very much creative indeed. Interesting cavy, purple grounds. No sky but the stars are okay. Fine metal block perspective. Poles are a bit time taker though.

    The music is excellent. “The Hidden Empire”. 1995, good quality.

    The weapons are a bit unbalenced (Blue’s seeker vs Red’s RF missile).

    Eye-candy indeed. This puts Jazz2 in another world, in another setting, in another dream _

    I can’t say that I like this tileset as much as some of the people here do, but it’s still a very good tileset. The ridiculously named “ET’s Planet 1 v2” features a high-tech landscape but is a bit on the smallish side. The metallicly shaded doors look superb and are great examples of textures at work, but the purple ground just doesn’t seem to fit very well. It’s drawn well, but it clashes in color with nearly everything else in this tileset, so it takes some tweaking in order to get levels to look good or how you want them to look. Still, it is pretty good ground. There are some neo-techno colored stuffs, and this tileset is chock full of whatchamadoozles that I am not sure are actually an item, but look good in metallic levels anyway. The green waterfall and grass is almost like that found in MeZmErIzE, but not nearly as well done. Still, they are again perfectly fine. The hills for the background are well-done, but not perfect. This tileset is an example of a good tileset that just isn’t extremely good in any area. If it had been worked on a little longer, it might have became a beloved classic. Still, it is worth an eight and a download recommendation. This is one planet I recommend you inhabit.

    The talented ET has made another tileset, not as good as some of its companions, but still good. IT has acid lakes, metal technology, and strange purple ground which has a resemblance to the ground in jj1 nippius has. Although the color rocks, its a bit one typed as well and i just didnt like it very much, but it still rocks. To bad you didnt include how the planet looks from space =(

    Yes Unknown rabbit, that’s me, I’ve returned. Also the CTF level was just to show people how the level layout is supposed to be e.g. The mountains on layer 6 and 5 and the space ships, UFO’s and such on layer 7. I guess I went over board with V poles in the example level :) oh well, everyone makes mistakes.

    I’m sorry about the V and H poles, I forgot that they didn’t need to have a mask unlike vines. Anyway, I’ve finished ETs Planet2, the V and H poles don’t have a mask and the tileset is, well….. a green planty type. I have a huge story line about it :). Anyway, I’ll upload it when the servers have moved. Also the level is a remake of Battle1, I just felt like remaking Battle1 for fun

    Man I wish I could post more than 1 message. Ok, I have made ETs Planet1v3 :). It contains some more dark tiles, for a purple cave and the alien buildings. I have also added a sky and some more green stuff, a hook, fixed the V n H poles and made 5 example levels :p, better than the other stupid level I made. 1 CTF, 3 battle, 1 story level :)
    I have included some nice looking letters I made so you can do messages and stuff as well, it includes afew symbols as well. Thats about all I’m gonna tell you now, btw, try using the green stuff like the acid and acid water fall in warped mode, it looks nice :). I have maded a level thats like in the ocean. Its quite effective and doesn’t use real water (event). Anyway, I will release it when I’ve finished off the levels :)[This review has been edited by et]

    You know, it’s just not fair! I’m sitting here with no way of reviewing these tilesets no matter how much I want to. sob as soon as I get my internet be sure to check this again! :)
