An updated version of survivor.mut, now compatible with every Ground Force level ever made that I could find
To host a specific Ground Force level, the host will need both this mutator and the .gf file corresponding to that level, e.g. mingfpack1.gf for mingfpack1.j2l.
If you attempt to use this mutator for a level that does not have a corresponding .gf file, e.g. if you are creating your own new Ground Force level and want it to be compatible with gfv.mut, then you will be shown a graphical user interface for defining all the relevant properties of your level: e.g. where the arena is, what causes players to die, what ammo they should start out with, whether they should morph into frogs or something, and several other optional features. Additional documentation for each section of this process will be written to the chatlog for you to consult as you go along. (Due to JJ2+‘s limitations, the resulting file will be saved with the extension .gf.asdat instead of simply .gf, and you can rename it to .gf if you want but the mutator will accept it either way.)
While you are busy developing a new Ground Force level, try hosting it in a networked/TCP/LAN server instead of an Internet server. This will allow you to enter the arena even during the Pregame. Otherwise it is impossible to test levels without two or more players in the server, because JJ2+ will never allow the game to start with only one player.
