Another race level. It’s my first one, but i’d say it turned out pretty well. It took me 2 minutes to finish one lap, but i bet it can be done faster;). A few tips: At the part with the trap doors, be Jazz, especialy when you go in it for the second time. At the small rooms with the coloured doors, you need to touch the coloured switch at the left wall to open the door. This is my last release for the year 2001, completed just barely before changing to 2002. Enjoy this one. Check it out, rate it well;)
This is a fairly well made race level, one with a good length and fairly original obsticles. The only real complaint I have is about the part where you have to hit trigger zones to go through warps. I found that part pretty monotonous after the second one of those rooms. Other than that one flaw, I found playing in it enjoyable and not too frustrating. Overall I would say the design is good.
As for the eyecandy, I have to say that it could have used a bit more work. To me it was merely average, which I don’t really like.
I consider every other aspect of this level to be good, so I am giving this level a 7. Good job.[This review has been edited by EvilMike]
!
I didn`t like this Race not at all. Some places are very boring and takes long to come out. There are to much springs. And where are the RF`s for?, you arnt battling in a race level.
But because it`s ya first race lvl, I won`t rate it so low.
And o yeah, how come people start building instantly race levels?…[This review has been edited by Super Saiyan]
Very good race lvl. The obstacles aren’t that original but I like those trigger rooms. The race lvl has also got pinball bumpers and flippers which I really like. :-) +0.5 for that. The lvls eyecandy is also pretty good but it could be improved by adding…er…stuff.
Well, the race lvl is quite easy but it is your first so I’ll go easy on you. I’ll give Plastic Speedzone an 7.5 and a download recommendation.
Cheers,
White Rabbit.
Another race-level! (celebrates for the underused gamemode)
The level was petty original. It had some standard traps (like the hor springs, they bounce you back), but most of them were new ideas.
There was (IMO) a huge lowdown – the level felt way too linear at some parts. You had to press buttons to open doors like 5 times. Then there was a jump, with a whole lotta blue springs. It would have been better if the auhtor has mixed the obstacle doors between the other traps. Also, the level features way too many springs, sometimes it made me wonder if it was the goal to run backwards…
There was ice available to freeze your opponent. There were bouncers, which could be used to open blocks. But the author also put in (useless!) RF missiles. They have absolutely no point in Race, and they did not serve a goal like the bouncers.
Overall: For your first Race level, this is a very good one, but it will not last that long. Practice some more on future Race levels, I’m sure you will create perfect ones. A 7.
CelL builded a race level?if someone would tell me these i would not belive..enough of these.now about lvl
1#A bit long but well designed
2#could you tell me what are RFs doing in lvl?
