Radiation galore | Xobim | Single player | 6.7 |
^^^^^^^^^^ T3H R34DM3 ^^^^^^^^^^ Thank you for downloading this level. I tried to give it a scary ambience and I hope it is noticeable. ================= Now the story: Allright, you're a rookie at a military base somewhere on Carottus. Your annoying behaviour made you very unpopulair among the other rabbits and foxes.(The base only recruits rabbits and foxes because they don't trust other species anymore after the terror Devan Shell and his goons brought) Then one day, an alarm at the control room went off. The corporal was informed: a radioactive leak in one of the barrels down the waste depository. The barrels contained highly radioactive material, taken from the reactor that powered the base. If the leaking would go on, more barrels could get radioactive, causing a chain reaction that would end in a nuclear explosion vaporizing the whole base. The corporal knew that the mission would be utter suicide, the area under the base was very dangerous with all that radioactive material emitting it's gamma rays. So you became the chosen one for this mission. You were sent down the maintenance tube to crawl between solid steel walls and stop the leaks from spreading around. ================= You are equipped with a Blaster and a radio receiver. You can't send radio messages through the solid steel, so you have to use the terminals located in certain areas. You're wearing a suit that protects your body against radiation. But the radiation from the barrels is too strong for it. So take care, the non-leaky ones emit radiation in a 2 tile radius. The ones that leak radioactive material emit radiation in a 4 tile radius. Don't excpect any carrots down there, the area is more hostile for living organisms than Technoir is. A radioactivity meter will tell you when the level is too high. Then find the terminal to close the area. Don't skip any areas, it will bring some problems... In order to keep the level a bit realistic, I didn't add food or gems. This will probably make the map a bit dull, but food in a nuclear storage chamber sounds a bit ridiculous, right? ================= That's it for the story and some aspects of the level. Now, you should activate ambient lightning and high detail for the full glory of the level. I also recommend playing this level at night, with all the lights turned off, nobody around and, if possible, a storm for some more scary effects. I hope it turns out good. ================= I want to thank Evilmike for his idea on radioactie tiles, used in his episode. Without his idea this level would be a sux. Level by Xobim/Jazzmusic.
