Pack of Random Levels | Saphir | Multiple | N/A |
Saphir of CC and XLM (or used to be) presents PACK OF RANDOM LEVELS When my hard drive crashed in early June, I had alot of projects half finished. Mainly, levels. After a couple of months, I got myself a new comp. Some files I had on the old had been saved. Unfortunately, most installed .exe files hadn't. Anyway, I thought that I could as well upload these levels. Due to the physical damage my hard drive sustained these haven't been tested as much as they should be. Also, they were never supposed to be a single pack, but rather to build up different packs with other, unfinished levels or levels yet to be started on. Which is why there might be levels fit for 2 players and levels for about 6-7 in the same pack. This pack contains 12 levels. That is 3 are race levels, 5 are battle levels, and 4 CTF levels. Unfortunately, all the CTF levels are symmetrical. ***Race levels*** (Important: Play these in Treasure Hunt!) PRL_OS.j2l - Offworld Sprint Tileset: AlienTemple2.j2t Music: Technoir.s3m I always created lots and lots of (bad) race levels. This isn't as extreme as the first ones I uploaded. Also has a feature that enables the host to select the number of laps. How to do this: Enter the far left warp (from the spawning area). Stomp the crate which represents the number of laps you prefer. This will warp you back to the spawning area. To start the race, stomp the crate. Note: if you do not select a number of laps, it will default to 5. PRL_MR.j2l - Metallic Reflection Tileset: Wasteland.j2t Music: Try17.j2b I thought I'd add some kind of koncept here, so I made a level which would force the player to backtrack some (Note: this was made before the Random Race Levels pack was released). Other than that, nothing really special in this level. Default number of laps is 3. PRL_OUT.j2l - Overgrown Underground Temple Tileset: Grove Shrine.j2t Music: beek-oh_delia.it The first and only race level I've made that is based on flow. The player doesn't have to think much in this level. Except, of course, someone uses those freezers.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ***CTF Levels*** PRLHU.j2l - Hazardous Utopia Tileset: PaintedP.j2t Music: Easter.it My first CTF level ever. Fairly large, and features alot of annoyingly long and uninteresting paths. Funnily enough I had planned this level on paper a while before I made my first j2o upload. PRLPT.j2l - Purple Twilight Tileset: CassaGradient.j2t Music: mome8.xm My second CTF level. Quite different from the first one, with a more complicated layout, and coin warps. And frozen springs. PRLULL.j2l - Uncool Lava Level Tileset: LMATArkansas.j2t Music: JJAChelo.s3m A very small experimental CTF levels. Could be used for 1v1, or 2v2, but after that, it gets far too crowded. Basically made as an experiment to test path blocking, but it was fairly fun the two times I was able to play online. PRLOO.j2l - Obnoxious Overgrowth Tileset: TarzanTreetop.j2t Music: Night2.s3m I thought the tileset was underused, so I decided to make a level with it. Didn't take long to figure out why. But I like how it turned out, even if this is a very small level aswell (2v2 probably). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ***Battle Levels:*** PRLBS.j2l - Burning Skies Tileset: PezroxV.j2l Music: NWK-LAST.xm Although nowhere near my first battle level, it's probably my first playable one. Too big for duels, but it's quite alot of fun to battle around in. It might be hard to get all the coins, but the levels offers enough running opportunities and carrots for a careful player to succeed. PRLHB.j2l - Hyperspace Blast Tileset: j1Battleshipsv2.j2t Music: Battleships.s3m At first intended to be a CTF level, but the balance was screwed up, so I made it a battle level instead. Offers glorious camping possibilities. I personally thing the layout is fairly interesting. PRLTS.j2l - Tranquil Squares Tileset: MEZ02.J2T Music: EMPTY4ST.XM Don't really remember why I ever started using this tileset, but it felt even more limiting than TarzanTreetops. Had a hard time getting any eyecandy at all into the level (not that my levels usually have much eyecandy). This wasn't meant to be a slow-paced battle level but somehow still seems to have become one. PRLJB.j2l - Junkyard Brawl Tileset: Chipset.j2t Music: World of Plastic.s3m Dark, ugly, and useless. For some reason I like this level. Used to have alot of float-ups and fans, but some of them made the gameplay too one-wayed, having everyone run in circles. By now, I should've learned how to make battle levels.. but apparently not. PRLUA.j2l - Unhappy Afterlife Tileset: wbrg.j2t Music: Dang.j2b Although this probably has the best eyecandy of the levels I've uploaded, it's also the smallest. Still, liked it enough to upload it. Is somewhat useful for duels, but 3 ppl is already a bit much. SPECIAL THANKS TO: The people who made the tilesets and music EPIC&co Players who helped me test these back a LONG while ago - Especially EvilMike You, for downloading & reading this. *insert copyright talk here* (c) Saphir (2003-2007)
