BusterPack CTF | Buster | Capture the flag | 7.7 |
BusterPack v1.0 --------------- Sorry, no flashy ANSI art for the title ;) Thank you for downloading this pack. It's called v1.0 because I may update the pack with new levels in the future (as opposed to simply creating a new pack...we'll have to wait and see.) I ALMOST uploaded these levels by themselves, but I decided that wasn't the way to go. I don't know about everyone else, but as for me, I think it's a pain in the tail having to restart a server to change between levels, or hacking the passwords off so that you can link them together. For this reason, I have decided to release these levels together, all linked up and ready to go. I have also decided to quit passwording my multi-player levels, and I have removed the passwords from those that had them, so that you can link the levels together with others should you so choose. I hope that you enjoy these levels as much as I have enjoyed creating them. Well, actually I hope you enjoy them more, as some of them were kinda a pain to make :) ~Buster -Jungle Dance- This was one of my earliest CTF levels. It was inspired by a .mod file called The Tigress, which I listened to constantly while designing the level. In the end though, something about this level bugged me a great deal. It just wasn't as good as it was supposed to be, and I couldn't put my finger on why. Months went by, and I continued to tweak the level since it bugged me so much. Finally I made some major changes, mostly asthetic, and the level came together at last. I hope you enjoy it. -Maximum RAM CTF- This is a more recent level created after NewSpaz released his awesome Jazz 1 Tubelectric tileset. There are some minor graphical errors in the tileset which hopefully NewSpaz will correct soon *hint*hint* ;) In this level I tried to recreate the feel of the original Tubelectric levels, with a little of my own style thrown in for good measure (basically because, being me, I can't help it if my levels have my "style" in them ;) ) -Crazy Island CTF- This tiny little level was inspired by Captain Spam's Stupid CTF. That probably says enough right there :) It's kinda just a short little chaotic break from the other levels :) -Paradigm Influx- This is what happens when you do a quick flash study of classical composers from Bach to Stravinsky. They should put warnings on those "For Dummies" books. Anyway, I just felt the need to...ahh, "compose" something, so I composed this CTF level. It's very small, but a little weird in it's own way. It's a very tight, almost mechanical level. Hope you enjoy it. -Pit CTF- This level was made for Onag's TryMe Comp, the final results of which we are STILL all waiting to see :) I was trying to create a non-standard level which would capture the feel of being inside a large cavern. Hence the level is almost vertical in places, and you'll be climbing and falling as much as running. Some people have complained to me that the level is to hard to get around in as Jazz. To that I can only answer that when creating a level, I only test it with Jazz, so I know that Jazz is well able to move around fine. High-jumps and running is the key...but wouldn't ya know, it's the same thing for Spaz. Oh well, can't please everybody. Hopefully you aren't an everybody :) -End of File- This isn't a level, it's a statment, meaning "this is the end of the ReadMe file" ;)
