[ G e n e r a l I n f o r m a t i o n ] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After many, many, many, many, hours/days/weeks/months of working on this tileset(I started working on this back in January, for that matter), I have successfully completed this tileset. It took what must have been an eternity to complete this project, due to a lack of time to actually work on this, countless problems, and/or general laziness. I wanted to submit this tileset anywhere last week, but due to few masking problems, and a certain animation limitation in Jazz, I had to...ruefully...adjust the tileset and remove a few(try 30) tiles... Needless to say, I am not happy about that. =( It's done! Alright. Let's move on. This tileset is this third in it's series, following School(the original), and School(v2) (an extention ofthe original). Unlike the 2nd in this series, this tileset is a total remake of the concept. This means it's not importable onto other levels using the first two tilesets. Sorry, heh. I have "decided"(actually, I was more like forced to, due to a certain EVIL animation limitation...) that this tileset should be used mainly for multiplayer levels with very few items. You COULD try using this tileset for s/p, but I think you'll soon see why I had become very disoriented after making the two example levels... Most of my enemies/items had to be removed. Oh well... Tileset Names: "School (v3)", and "School (v3b)" File Size(s): Both are 130Kb(so says Windows), or even 128Kb(Or so JCS says)... Total Tile Count: 990 (1020 was the original... R.I.P little lost tiles.) Version Built For: 1.23 (It'll probably work with 1.24. Who knows?) Build Time: (Hahah, too long to keep track of the exact time) Completion Time: Friday, September 13th, 2002 (Heheh, cool.) 93.5%(Calculated :-p) All-Natural! (i.e. Hand-drawn. Only the background was made using effects, and not drawn pixel by pixel) Please rate only the following files. The rest of them are too shameful to be rated. -SchoolV3.j2t and -SchoolV3B.j2t -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- III. [ N o t e s ] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- * Try to use only the animations you need. This way, the animation limitation won't be reached so quickly, and you can use more items in your levels. * The desks and other structures were only designed to face in one direction. HAD the tile limitation been just a little bigger, I wouldn't have this problem. * The big blue box shaped things are mats, even though they look like blue boxes of some sort. (I can't draw.) * "Hoppin' Powers" now looks like a normal teacher, not like his caricature anymore. Sorry =( * The two teachers are not unmasked without a reason. (Actually, only one was needed with a mask, but oh well...) * The story line for the example levels...really sucks. I came up with it one fine night last week after becoming quite disturbed from all of my own homework, and wanted BLOOD! I'm too lazy and uncreative to think of something else to use as a story line. * The original school tileset and example level have been included just for the sake of comparison to see what made it to this version and what didn't. ...Please, don't rate it. I don't think I can handle the critisism. :-p * I don't like notes. :-p -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- III. [ P r o b l e m s - > S o l u t i o n s ] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The only two problems that I know of are as follows: 1. Problem: JCS gives two different error messages, both respectively informing the user of an excess or lack of internal animations and/or animation frames. Solution: Cut back on the animation tiles, or events. 2. Problem: The bookshelf masking is weird. Solution: Use the "One Way" modifier event. The animation limitations on JCS can be countered by me reducing the amount of tiles in the tileset. I refuse to do any more cutbacks on it. Sorry. I could fix the masking problem on the bookshelf, but I just don't want to. :-p I'm sick of working on this tileset. Sorry. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IV. [ P a t h e t i c P l e a ] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Does anyone out there have an old tileset called "Bad Manners"? I forgot what the actual filename for it was called, but that was the tileset name. That tileset is one of my old ones, and I'm trying to collect them all again. This is the only one which eludes my clutches. If so, pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease send it to me! I shall be eternally thankful(well, for a few weeks or so anyhow :-p) for it. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- V.
