(Holiday Hare '05) ===Intro=== Firstoff, thanks for reading the readme. Just for doing that, email me at odin314@gmail.com before December 25th 2005 EST with the passcode "yuletide" to recieve a special gift! Ok, now that that's out of the way, let me introduce you to the latest Christmas SP level pack! This pack includes lots of cool stuff: *- Four well-designed levels *- A challenging Bilsy boss! *- Creative puzzles *- Christmas cheer *- A coupon redeemable for a date with an unconventionally hot Jazzer of your choice! While the last feature may or may not be true, this pack still is challenging (not Invasion of Deserto hard, but more challenging than the offical levels), and I think you'll enjoy it. Speaking of challenging, the puzzles on levels 2 and 4 require you to conserve your ammo. If you find yourself running low, stop using it. If you got a tiny ammount of ammo, it's probably for a reason. Also, Bilsy on level 2 and the jumping puzzle on level 3 require a mixture of luck, patience, and skill. Don't give up. It takes me a while to beat Bilsy for me, and the jumping puzzle on level 3 is a lot of trial and error for me as well. If you get fustrated, save your game, drink some hot cocoa, and come back later. Hint: There are four secrets in level 2 that will give you an edge to Bilsy, if you need some assistance. Try finding them. ===Story=== One day, I believe it was on a Tuesday, Jazz was sitting down in his comfy recliner, watching "Frosty the Snowrabbit" with his kids and Eva, when he heard his watch notifier tell him he had an urgent message at his computer. Jazz and Eva were both suprised; Jazz told the Royal Carrotus Guard that he did not feel like doing any missions during his Christmas break. Jazz got up, went into his computer room, and addressed the message. "What the heck are you doing calling me now?!" said an irate Jazz. "I told you, no missions during my break!" The general calmly replied. "Jazz, this is a situation that requires you. We have a situation on Holi--" "What, the elves have a couple of rat-monkeys and they can't handle it?" Jazz was obviously mad, but the general knew to keep his cool. "Hear me out, now. There's a situation on Holidaius. Bilsy has teamed up with the turtle terrorist group Bombshells to destroy the Christmas Headquaters!" Jazz went from mad to suprised faster than his two-year-old son could puke up his carrot paste. "Bilsy? I thought I killed him in countless past levels!" "Yes, but that was not the real Bilsy. Those levels just made him so easy it's pointless to even count them. This real one has planted a base on Holidaius and is ready to attack Christmas Headquarters." Jazz thought for a while. Maybe he should go. After all, this doesn't sound like the type of mission that lasts like a month. Then again, he could send his brother, Spaz. [If you prefer to play as Spaz, read the next set of paragraphs. Otherwise, skip ahead.] ==Spaz== "Why not contact spaz?" suggested Jazz. "Spaz would love a mission like this." The general replied, "Sure, i'll contact him right now. Have a merry Christmas." The general signed off, and Jazz returned to his comfy recliner after getting an ice cold can of Carrot Juice. Meanwhile, while Spaz was swallowing his lunch (a fishbird) whole, his machine made a ping noise and said "You got message!" "What in the blazes could that be?!" Said Spaz. Spaz walked over to his computer and pressed the ACCEPT CALL button. The general popped up on screen. "Spaz, we need you, we have an emergency." "An emergency? Oh, boy!" Spaz was wide-eyed while the general explained everything. "Cool! I'll go!" Before the general could even sign off, Spaz split out of his house, ran down the street, turned the corner, and headed towards the launching pad. Thus begins yet another adventure. ==Jazz== "Sure, i'll go." Jazz thought that while Spaz was a good fighter, he would probably do something really stupid, like accidently blowing up Holidaius. "Thanks very much! We have a star cruser ready for you," the general said, and promptly signed off. Jazz got his backpack on, put on his cuffs and bandana, grabbed his gun, and kissed Eva goodbye. There's another crisis somewhere, and Jazz is going to have to stop it. ===Level maker's notes/intresting stuff the level maker has to say=== 1. I stole a some ideas from EvilMike (actual challenging puzzles, conserving ammo, etc.). I hope he doesn't mind. 2. The bottom cave entrance tile (the one with snow on the top) doesn't match up with the others. Poo. 3. This level pack took around half a month to make, which is suprising because battle levels that are smaller than the average level here take the same amount of time for me. 4. I didn't feel like searching for music, so I just took old music from previous Holiday Hares and the Frozen Heck music. Hope that's okay with you. 5. I recommend playing as Jazz, but this level pack is also Spaz compatible. Jazz just makes the enemies harder, which in turn makes it more FUN. :D ===Credits=== No one- Beta testing (I never recieved any help from anyone, thanks a lot :( ) Violet CLM, CelL- Tilesets Robert A. Allen, Alexander Brandon- Musics EvilMike- Inspiration No go make Father Christmas proud!
