Ninja, shields may be part of the game, but that does’nt take away Electric’s right to think that shields are unfair. And personaly, i must say i agree with him, me, and probably 87% of the other elite JJ2 players:P. Anyways, i’m not going to either download nor rate this, because considering what i’ve heard untill now, i don’t really believe this level will be all that very cool:P
censored are you people kinda dumb???
Type: TILESET, not level or music file.
Ugh… when do we learn to rate the tileset and not the level/music???
I’ll review this later.
“Fishy stuff!” is a small (about 50*40 tiles) battle level, has a very dull name and uses Disguise’s very cool “Fishy” tileset.
The whole level design is not spectacular or very original. The author obviously tried to make it circular and playable but somehow i found the navigation too complicated in this. All those sucker tubes, dunno. The text events aren’t too motivating as well. And eyecandy? Not much except the background, sorry.
About the music: actually you can’t do anything wrong with a chippy Jogeir Lilljedahl tune, but this one is only 30 seconds short. I have to admit, it still sounds 1337 :-)
Okay, despite that it’s not the super fun producing battle level in my opinion, at least someone tried to make a level using this great tileset. I’ll reward that effort and the idea with 6 and a half points. However, fans of custom tilesets should really download “Yhsif” (which sounds even more stupid than the actual level name!).
I’m a little bit surprised by Red_XIII’s (over)rating. “SpotDiamond” (the actual level name seems to be “A diamond is forever!!”…) isn’t a bad level but it definitely has some problematic aspects.
The layout of this Diamondus(ARGH!!!) level isn’t too circular, there are a few dead ends and too many irritating ideas (like this “cave of doom”). The event placement didn’t amaze me as well: a lot of unnecessary food, ice and coins. Spikes (esspecially if they don’t hurt) make no sense in a battle level for example.
Regarding the layer arrangements, i can’t say too much (nothing really cool, only those flying leafs, the background and some VERY FEW foreground objects).
Last but not least one word about the background music: no matter how cool it is, Spotty, you should never ever choose a 2 MB large file for that purpose. That’s simply not appropiate (there are so many good tunes that are around 100 KB large). I mean, the included Impulse Tracker tune (“Foregone Destruction”) is not completely bad (seems to be from this popular Unreal game), but it doesn’t really fit for this harmless Diamondus level, sorry!
To sum it up, i don’t like this level as much as the other reviewers did so far. It simply doesn’t hit my favourite style and the idea of using Diamondus for a such a level does the rest. Sorry, i don’t see this far above the average.
I think that the lego trees are a bit unoriginal:P but this is still a great set! Of course, the flames could use some work. I am getting the idea that you ripped those ice blocks from somewhere, but the idea of them turning red is great!
Overview:
originality: good, but some of these things just look like they are’nt that original-0.5
Graphics::P not that great. The flags were good, but things like the sand, the lava and the cave background look kinda bad. However, I can’t take off that much for graphics because I SUCK!!!-1.0
Music: Your tileset doesn’t have custom mucis, that’s a plus. Why? My Game doesn’t read custom music files. If a level has custom music, I have to play in silence:(
Usability: I don’t know if that’s a word, but so what? I’m not that good at making levels, but that doesn’t mean I can take of score for that. However, this does look a little hard to use -0.5
I think that’s it.
I won’t ljower points for your example level, but it was knida strange. But I like it a lot. (Wait… hanging from coins? Really weird:)[This review has been edited by the awesome super ultra cool one and only AcId]
EDIT:Yes, I don’t think it’s fair to add 3 points just because the level creator didn’t use custom music, but I’m still commenting on that.[This review has been edited by AcId]
Allright! I love this tileset, nice easy sand to use!!
I like the lego plant-life. ;)
The music doesn’t fit though… -0.3
The ramp blocks were quickly and badly done though.. -1.5
The signs are a bit un-clear -0.5
No israeli flag -0.2
Orginal, but that music.. :P It´s not so a beach tileset!
It´s all types tileset shaked. A pretty tileset, but a not so good Xample lvl.
Download this.
I think this is a great tileset, not only are the tiles nice, but some things in it are original, I have never seen a one tile V and H pole before, and also, instead of having the normal Destruct blocks with the symbol of what weapon to use on it, he has little sign posts that u can put next to it :) some tiles arn’t very well made, for example, if you look at the flames, I can tell they have been drawn with a white background :P The tileset could still be improved, like the block tiles, have slopes, but the slopes arn’t shaded, so it just looks like u have cut abit off, not like they are natural ( thats hard to explain ), well, its a good tileset, worth downloading :)
This here is an OK tileset. It has some good tiles in it, but personally I’m not too crazy about it. A lot of the tiles were poorly made like the fire and some of the sand. This tileset needs a lot of work for a higher rating, but it could be worth a download.
Hey, this tileset is pretty good! It has lots of neat eyecandy that you can use. Are those underwater trees lego trees? They looked like them.
good job with all this……stuff
Ok time for a proper review since I am going to do this. I love the versatlility that u can have in all the layers
The trees and grass and things. The shrubs are also done excellently.
(I can finally make a shrubbery :D)
The amount of work shown on this is amazing. It looks like a kind of official tileset , with all the varietys of shrubs, and other good stuff. The text signs and all
even the cool jaguar they all make this one of the coolest tilesets ive seen in a while.[This review has been edited by Spotty]
Shadow had something there,
i dint noted the bugs, but i like this titeset, becuse:
-The other jungle tileset dosen´t own so good graphic as this
-Jazz and Spaz change color when your using this tileset
-it have much good details
I fell a need on:
-you forget some leafs, i can´t remember witch
-Not all leaf fits
-A sleeping Jaguar that turned right
this is another must Download
good job Agama ;)
On about 120 seconds you must escape from a missle, not too hard…..well, looks really good, but the graphic don´t own the best..
the scores, i don´t think Stiletto did that, or else im very bad, id tried about 40 times, without hank that rating, also a Easy-Medium-Hard would do it better….but it don´t really need at all
wew, i must say this must be a ‘Must Download’
Good Job Violet ;)

Good….The levels are kinda short, but there tough.310 is my score.I’m sure thats the highest.Their is no music troughout the game, but plenty of sound. The coins sound more like your picking up 100 not 1.But thats about it.Gameplay is preatty good. I like it off the ski’s. Maybe in the never-gonna-make-it 1.25, we could roll and have scanners and stuff.8.5 is what it is.
Ah Cool this is awesome yeah right this is stupid…you should make a strategy plan for capture3.j2l that would be awesome you should copie the whole lvl(minimized) in jcs. And then make the plan in it…thats simple :-D
A good level (But it would have been more interesting if the level were more detailed) using a great tileset. A 7.5 from me.
P.S: You forgot the single player start events, Disguise!!
It dont work for me, it just chrashes my pc :(, im using windows me
I dont really get it
