This is a great level using Agamas latest tileset, there are heaps of secrets, lots of ammo, Fantasic eye candy, and overall a great level

I once made a level with this tileset, but it was much smaller :)

Anyway, I give this a 8.7, and I recomend you download this NOW, stop reading the reviews, and click download! :p

Well it seems all the stuff has been said already.
Nice set, though not as good as some othere disguise tilesets I’ve seen.

OW well considering the ease of use combined with the variaty and the masking I’d give this only a 7,7

Absolutely stunning, a real must have in yer JCS tileset list. The custom tiles look great and not to mention the lvl design. A real classic and it should be listed in the tileset list here at j2o, just like Mez.

Hey this is really kewl! Level 4 is a bit confusing; Jazz doesn’t seem to want to move for a while. Also, I had a bit of control problems with level 5.
But other than that, it’s good! Make a sequel. ;)

I got all the cheats! ;P

Thanks for keeping this alive guys :) I’ve updated the description to include a new download (after all these years I finally found a folder on one of my really old machines). Remember I was only 13 when I made this :D It was a whole half a life time ago!

Original Review from back in 2001:

Glad to see so many reviews in one day. Anyway, I know there are a few errors, like if you go too close to a tree, you die and the ski marks make it look like you hadn’t got that close to it. You see, unlike Jazz Jackrabbit, Multimedia Fusion ( same as CnC ) doesn’t have a mask on the backgrounds (aka tiles) I sort of made one for the rocks, because they are more important, by having a solid tile over the non-solid tile, but just being smaller. Um, no where in the text file does it say you can make your own levels Violet, but if enough people ask me, I might be able to make afew more levels, or might be able to make a kit, including all the Jazz animations for the people who have MMF or CnC. I haven’t got any music in the game because of memory problems, it use to be 6 mb, I saved 1 mb by getting rid of some music, and 2 by shortening the intro ( doesn’t have Devan going down the rabbit hole and grabbit Jazzes gun, and Jazz waking up in shock )

I made the game challenging, so it takes a little longer than 5 minutes to complete. Also, read the help file, it doesn’t mean your a loser, it just helps for a few simple things

Oh, one last thing, I do know how to have it so you don’t collect coins on jumps, but I find it makes the game too hard to get 300 coins for the Holiday Hare Bonus level ( I’ll happily give you the password for that level if you really need it ! )

PS: I would like to see on the reviews, what the highest scores were,

Mines: 305 I think

Btw: Don’t forget to click on Spaz in the loading screen ;)

———
Um, I guess you can only go back to the main menu after being in the unlock cheats area by either pressing F2 or Going to the menu at the top of the screen, and clicking on Jazz Ski Rabbit, then back to menu. This is the equivilent to ‘Restart Application’ :p

I should have but a ‘back to menu’ button in the unlock cheats area so its easier to get back.

———-
I’ve updated the image, because a few people have been finding it hard to see the web address, The new image has the address in white in a black background at the bottom of the cover, not shaded, not thick, nice and thin and easy to read :)

Ps: Remember that the Squiggely symbol just before the debandy part is a tilde, this symbol ~ Shift + the button above Tab :p

Well, this is well made, except for the traditional bugs included with the game making series you made this with. I should know, having two of them myself.
I like the last level... are you sure we can make our own levels? :P I think I read that in the text file, but it seems to change every time I read it!
Oh, one other bug. You can get coins while you’re in the air, ABOVE THEM.

Message edited. By the way, is there any way to get back to the menu from the cheats area other then F2? It seems that cheats only work after you discover them, and I can’t find any ways to get back to the menu that don’t UNDISCOVER them. Makes it hard to see what the cheats do..[This review has been edited by Violet CLM]

Does Agama ever make bad tilesets? I can safely say the answer is no. “Egypt” is yet another amazing tileset by Agama. Everything is drawn to perfection, the masking is great, and everything looks near-perfect. What more can you say? I have no complaints. It may not be as good as Heaven or Swamps of the Sleeping Jaguar, but that’s like complaining because you got a BMW instead of an Aston Martin. Download recommendation? Of course.[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]

When I first started this program up, I was promptly greeted with what appeared to be a very good-looking top right corner of a program. Unfortunately, the other 3 corners were missing. I searched, but could not find what might cause this. I finally got it to work, but only after testing it on no less than four computers. Once I got it working, this program immediately showed it’s worth. It’s excellent for logging JDC matches or just to catch up on what you’ve missed should a freak accident suddenly occur while you are chatting. If it works, it’s great. If it doesn’t, well, then you’re out of luck. Definitely worth a download.[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]

This is probably one of my favorite packs of all time. Don’t let the name fool you. These levels aren’t as happy as they are labled as, but they certainally are great fun to play. Happy Heck, which actually is not exaclty named “Happy Heck” is a small level but still very high-quality. Warps strewn out in the level make it a quick play, but still a high-quality level. This pack also contains two classic levels, “Happy Castle” (which is more properly known as JAIL), a colaberation of the talents of Stripe, Bobby aka Dizzy, and FQuist, is a legend of a level if there ever was one. “Happy Semiconductor” is another name you might recognize. This pack has some legendary levels, and then some levels that should be legends. It’s an amazing pack that I recommend you download immediately. Certainally a great work.[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]

It’s very nice, but it would be hard to use and I would have expected to see some more clouds in a heaven tileset and less stone statues. That’s just me, though.
