I was apprehensive about this level after reading Violet’s short review, but luckily for me, I downloaded it anyway.
I was in for a treat.
Okay, let’s get the obligatory technical stuff out of the way. This level uses the Carrotus tileset (and accompanying music). While there isn’t any spectacular tileset usage here, it is used in a very solid and pleasent manner.
Now down to the good stuff…
This level is very original (most puzzle levels are). It can also be very frustrating. If you don’t have a lot of patience, you probably won’t like this at all (although I can attest from exprience that the level is very playable). It starts throwing skill and reflex based challenges at you right from the begining, so if that’s not your cup of tea, go someplace else.
The level is very well made, save for some very minor bugs, one of which is the aformentioned “stuck-in-the-wall” bug, but fortunitly the area where this is apt to occur is right at the begining, so it’s not like you’ve lost anything if you have to pull a “jjk”.
Final word? Let’s put it this way. If you’re hungry for something a little different, Wacky Spaz has cooked up just the dish for you.
Good job Wacky Spaz. I hope you make more puzzle levels.

(As well as you explained the rating, it still seems a bit absurd. Removed. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
Different, yes.
But this tileset needs some major work done. A few blocks (some of which are very poorly done), some simple “hotel” eye-candy (beds, sinks, etc.), and a flat black background.
Frankly, I couldn’t recommend it even to someone who likes hotel levels. Put some more work into it.

different…….

Good, good…
More things is better but good.
Alone that lvl… :S
Good…
But whats the password on the level?
Probably one of Cell’s worst lvls yet…
The lvl does have decent eyecandy and weapons placement but it’s quite emtpy and is a little boring. (Dunno why though) Some places are Jazz unfriendly and the fog/water/whatever at the bottom of the lvl is very confusing. Sry for this Cell, but I’m only giving this an 6.2.
I managed to do something nearly identical when I got Jazz 3 years ago. I made a level (really bad – I barely knew how to) and when you reached the boss, you see a jazz popping out of the floor, like he’s running at the end of the level. Shoot him and airboard Jazz’s pop out. It was posted on J2C, but if anyone wants to take a look, I’ll send it.
Please people, enough with the hotels.
This is bad. Don’t download it.

Hmmmm the lvls ok but i dont really like the tileset
Nice levels from Cell. I think The Discofever is Mirrow’s best tileset ever, and Cell uses it correctly, but the level design is a little confusing in the upper lefy corner. The music is good, but regular.
Please write your reviews in english, except if you can’t talk english. I’ll see it through my fingers this time, but please keep this to one time.
No. I unfortunately do not have JJ2 1.23. So sorry, 1.23 players. But maybe I’ll get 1.23 from Internet ..who knows?
Please send more files next time. I’ll be sending a 10, 11 meg. onesoon with near 40. (dependent on size. :-P)

Read the last line of above review: Ditto here. There just aren’t enough of those good ol’ singles.. Oh well, down to buisiness. This is a fairly decent single, but the set and music are VERY BORING!!! (I shall soon release a good size collection of music that will ufortunatley be HUGE!!!! (10, 11 megs) but have at least 30, 40 music files for level use.) Puzzles… I LOVE PUZZLES!! YAY!! WOOOOO!!!…. (ahem.) sorry. (:-(
Other than the music and set, this is awesome.

Ey CelL,
