[Note before review]
StarwaveXJazzy , you should choose not 1.23 in Version:, but TSF when uploading ur levels… Also If those levels using 1.23 tileset, you should use converter for levels to make it compatibly with 1.23 JJ2…

You asking me why to do this? Well, most of jj2 players using 1.23 version, and your levels will not work with it, but only TSF version…

Download it and convert your levels:

http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/5368/tsf-to-123-j2l-converter/

Or click Re-upload/Edit/Delete Level and set 1.23 to TSF in Version:

[About level]
I’m remember when i built my first level…Its was very simple jungle and its was very small and uninteresting even for myself xD…

Ah, about lvl – this is small level. I don’t see nothing special here…There’s not enough eyecandy, and some moving “Blade” blocks in 2 or 1 layer was a bit annoying…
Also a bunches of demons was weird too…

But some simple traps (such as spikes or disappearing platforms) made me do rating a bit higher…

This is very simple level and I don’t get it why this must deserve good rating, but I’m not going to give u NODR. You should practice more and sometimes you’ll become good levelmaker…I think u have talent for JCS. :)

Haha, good I’ve finished the game not long ago :D So i know most of the traps. Well, the level isn’t perfect, but it has the Catmario’s climate :) Most of the traps are alright. Good job!! The tileset is made very well.

Don’t you ever thought about creating a level pack instead of uploading levels with the same point one by one? this is more effective.

Did… I miss something? I can’t access the levels in Jazz Jackrabbit 2 at all, and in Jazz Creation Station, it gives a version error of “2.03”. I don’t recall there ever being any patches that high. (Last time I checked — five seconds ago — the highest patch is 1.23+.)

(You are confusing different version numbering systems. Jazz 2 version 1.24 and 1.24x use version 2.03 of .j2l files, whereas all other versions use .j2l 2.02. Similarly, 1.24 uses version 2.01 for .j2t files, whereas 1.23 uses 2.00. ~Violet)

Haha, when I was hosting this, I thought that Tyuka’s Realm Forsaken was a battle level. I see where the bases are now. I like the idea in both levels. In this level I like the bases placement, and in another one I like the Inside-Outside system.

Millo, please read the rules before rating this level
(P.S:I am posting the single rule here:)

Be nice, polite and, most of all, constructive. Community spirit and positivity should be important traits on this site. Please include no remarks which may hurt the upload author.
If possible, point out how the upload author could improve his uploads in the future, and give constructive advice — “The truth is that everything that can be accomplished by showing a person when he’s wrong, ten times as much can be accomplished by showing him where he is right.” ~ Robert T. So if you don’t like me then don’t rate me low or if you even don’t want to stay good with me,just don’t rate me..

Why would you even want to hurt someone’s feelings by writing a review like this?

Admins might just remove the rating because its unsupported.

(P.S:This is not an arguement.)

FFS, how to review this.

First, I’ll say that I’ve played both of these levels online using the ingame download function everybody knows (I did not download it at J2O). I’ve duelled Jake at TRF and it was quite an intense duel (lost 6-10 btw). I played the other level in some open servers recently.

Tyuka’s Realm Forsaken:

Music:
Sheer awesomeness. I’ve no other words for it.
10/10

Eyecandy:
It is great, almost flawless while unique. It goes very well with the music, even better than most other levels.
10/10
_________Gameplay:
Layout: Quite balanced and the base concept works. There aren’t any campy places and this level is, due to the relatively fast carrot respawn and the fact there are two small carrots, a very aggressive one… camping means your opponent regains health, and both C’s are in uncampy area’s. It is however, possible to camp the RFPU, though it isn’t useful in duels.
There are two RFjumps, one of them is avoidable with a Lizard Copter (while not too difficult), and one of them is almost impossible with Jazz/Lori and still hard with Spaz.
9,5/10

Pickup placement:
Almost perfect, though Bouncers/Seekers are laggy weapons, if this is played on ZD. There is a Bouncy PU, which might lag if shot in the tube, but otherwise Bouncers are very useful in this level. There is a patch of Seekers in the upper left corner (no PU, which is a good thing). The main downside but also upside is that ammunition is very grouped: usually there is only one place in the level to get a certain kind of ammunition. This could be horrible, but in this case it doesn’t matter: The level is small and very uncampy (though the RFPU is campable if the other player has no RF PU, but you might end up being blown up in some cases)
9,5/10

Replay Value:
Hm, what to say… Seeing the level made me speechless, playing it was awesome. It is certainly one of the best levels I’ve ever seen.
10/10

49/50

Penalties: Zero

9,8/10

The other level? If you insist. In terms of liking it/disliking it, this level is totally opposite to the previous one. So here it goes, for ASH or whatever it is called.

Music: Not so awesome, and a sheer contrast with TRF.
It hurts enough to mute it, something I hardly ever do…
5/10

Eyecandy: The tileset chosen made me refuse to take this actually even serious. Feels pretty bland, even worse than the Forest tileset for example because of lack of detailing in the tileset (and being downright unnatural)
5/10.

_________Gameplay
Flow: It works, but the base placement makes this a VERY rushy level, especially taking the two Spaz-only RFjumps into account. It makes the PU’s bloody useless being too far from the bases, (takes too much time to get them)… I actually think it is impossible to retake control back if you lost it. It might also end up in a cat-and-mouse game in the outer circle of the map…
4/10

Pickup placement:
You don’t need them with the bases so damn close to eachother… the PU’s are placed close to eachother but one camper is enough to kill you if you want to get back to the base area.
4/10

Replay value:
Playing a serious round here is a total fluke…
4/10

22/50

Penalties: none.

4,4/10

9,8 + 4,4 = 14,2 = 7,1

DR: Yes, the first level is downright awesome… without a doubt. It is a great level to play at, especially in duels and I think it is the best entry to the duel level tournament until now.
I’ve heard the second one can be either found great or be disliked, with me being in the second group of disliking it. Therefore, you might like the second level WAAAAY more than I did.
On the otherhand, you might find it pretty dissappointing or downright horrible like I did.

Back in 2001, when I was brand new to JCS, I made a little precious level. The tileset was Damn 2 and I think the title was “Turtle Nightmare” or something similar. It was a few rooms on a linear path with all sorts of powerups and ammo; no doubt inspired by the final level in Quake. For my third or fourth level ever created, it was pretty good looking, because there were few tilebugs (I hated tilebugs 10 years ago and I still do now), and the path was varied, with some slopes and bridges and even some eyecandy like arrows or the tree stumps thrown here or there. At the end of the path stood a signpost, with a rather curious text string saying: “Did Devan Shell violate the copyright by cloning himself?”. Considering what’s happening in the world right now, with all sorts of crap like DRM and VeVo and region-locking, I think that joke was a bit ahead of its time.

The punchline, however, was dropping down into the final room and seeing it literally fill with Devan bosses to the brim. I always had a kick out of it when I’d stand on a platform above the (roughly 100+) Devans and try to snipe them with Seekers. It was a bit funny to see the missile flail around after its target like mad. You could also jump into the horde and try to knock them out from the map with TNT, and then when you’d run into the opposite side of the room, some would appear back inside! The best thing, however, was when trying to leave the arena and restock, there would be more bosses appearing at where the powerups are. That might have been the ‘nightmare’ part of it but I’m not sure now. All in all, it was a pretty crap level, but it was original, and most certainly winnable without cheats. I’d probably rate it like 1.8 or 2.

This level isn’t as good though.

(I lol’d, but this still doesn’t defend your score in any significant way, as is required for non-quick reviews. Rating clearance. ~Violet)
