Uh, is that just me or is that a double post?
I think u chould stick to making levels tazar.
Favorite level has been changed, it is now The Temple!
AAH! Memories! Don’t ask why, but my favorite level was “I Hate This Tileset. :P” My second favorite was “Shine-O-Riffic Land.” I really have no idea why. All of these levels were well thought out, but some levels used some overused tilesets. All of them had nice backgrounds and layouts. Overall, you did a good job on all of these levels, old to new. =)
Good but simple Prog
its very easy to use only it cant do

Nice level, the eye candy is very good, but I find a bit too much ammo with such a small level. Too many carrots too. Although it is easy to navigate and very fun. I recommend people to download this.
Nice level, f!re.
I didn’t really notice the carrotus tileset as overused, but that’s because I’m not really a collector(I only rate and download sertain levels, like my enemies levels. he he j/k)
I really don’t have much to say, because I really didn’t pay much attention to this really cool level.
There’s an idea stuck in my skull that this treasure hunt level was gotten from the idea I had. But forget that &
Download this now!!!!!
I don’t like the level at all. Way Too many enemies are at the same time. Well, at least it gave me a challenge. And after that, Wromg next level setting!
This deserves a 3.5 from me and no d/l recomendation.
P.S. Those 2 1ups were easy to get.
Very nice set. It’s quite orriginal compared to most of the sets that borrow tiles from JJ1, and it’s very orriginal.
Unfortunately, very few of the tiles are actually orriginal. The set includes tiles from or that closely mimic (JJ1):
~The glowing walls in tubelectric
~The tubes / pipes and waterfalls from Dreampipes,
~Most of the Crystal ground from Either that one level with the rocket rats, or Chrysallis
~A lot of metal stuff from Orbitus.
~Fans from Fanolith
~Other varies tiles somehow related to Jazz 1….
Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not saying the set is just another jazz 1 set. It’s a set that’s not easy to tell that it has any holds in JJ1 unless you’ve pplayed JJ1 alot and are familiar with the levels.
Very nice setup and tile editation allows for high detail abilities, and the set is not too dificult to make levels with (the crystal ground can be quite tricky)
Nice example level. It shows what can really be done with the set.
I think labrat music would work a lot better than the music included with the set (rocket.xm) which I found quite boring.
Overall, I give it a 8.
Why? IT has all the essential aspects needed for a quality Jazz 2 level, very nice looking. Nice aspects from JJ1.
However, It’s to much of a copy from JJ1 to get a higher rating than 8 (imo)
Good Job Agama! I look forward to seeing more from you.
Funk-o-rific Job Agama!
I was very suprised when I first opened up this set in JCS. Not only does it maintain the Cartooneyness that Jazz Jackrabbit demands, It also looks REALLY good.
It’s fairly easy to work with, but difficult enough to make level making enjoyable.
Pros:
- Very nicely done Cartoony aspect
- Enough variations in tiles to make a quality Level
- Fairly easy to work with
- Very original (although a few tiles are enhanced versions of JJ1 sets)
- Personal favorite
Cons:
- Strange layer 8 Background (the white is realy contrasted)
- Not many options for background and foreground layers except two different types of clouds
- Water (tileset blocks) is very ugly looking
But other than that, I think it is one of the best tilesets around =)
I think it easily earns 9.5
This is first time I have to use brains when playing Jazz2. You could run through every original JJ2 level. But you can’t run in this pack (what’s fun in running the levels through anyway?). The pack took me about half an hour to complete. These 3 levels are amazing work. Nice 20*1000 bonus level by the way :) . The eyecandy was unbelievable. The music was good. The difficulty level was just fine, I got killed several times. It was refreshing. Why? Because of the easiness of other levels.
Well done, Evilmike. Every single player level is precious. They are kind of rare nowadays. (well, good ones are)[This review has been edited by Blade]
What did you say, BD? Thinking? Then it isn’t a good levelpack for me… Kidding. This pack definetly rocks. It’s soooooooooo hard, but I completed it after 3 hours (yes, really!). The design is superrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and the events placement is great, only maybe a bit too much enemy’s. I got to turn of the PC so I can’t write more. I’ll give this the average rating of this moment.
The first I thought: 7.5
Setback: Used tiles from other tilesets. -1.0
Rating: 6.5
The tileset looks pretty slick :). As the Example level shows, you can use it in great ways. As EvilMike said, it’s not really a forest. More soem kind of a country filled with trees and Stones. I’m not good at rating tilesets so my review is not longer than this. Eat this 6.5
The levels contain puzzles every now and then. Some are easy (or is that lucky:)) some are hard. It’s good to have puzzles in levels. Requires thinking.
Let me seeeeee. I am in a good mood. I’ll give this a 10.
Great level Mike. The eyecandy is perfect and layout is superb. The puzzles are good too, takes some ingenuity (Yay! RF Jumping) ;P and that rock puzzle was great too, took me a couple of minutes. Bonus level is fun too. Good stuff Mike :)
yes. I found secrets lurking around the corner. Some of the tests I took in Jazz2 over the internet help me navigate through many obsticles :D
Well done level design.
Though another bug when killing a certain boss. When you beat it, stay away from its location; otherwise, you’ll get -1 heart out of nowhere :)
The tileset doens’t really look much like a forest, so this doesn’t get as high of a score. The only problem I can find in it is that the masking on the tops of the trees is a bit compicated, and the same goes with the masking of some walls.
Everything is fine here, so I give it a 6.7. Not a bad score from me.
The review don’t deserve to be rated since it’s not made by Enigma.
However, I would like to say that some of the musics are not perfect. There are some pattern repeating problems.
Take Lagunicus.s3m for example. It’s totally rapping the instruments back and forth.
Hmmm… I’ll start with the most obvious problem, to my mind. While #4 leads to #1, #1 to #2, and #2 to #3, #3 leads to #1 instead of #4!
If you were hosting this, you’d have to host 4 to ever see it. Also, readme aside, I’ll bet you a dollar I could get stuck in everyone of of the levels.
Now then, to the good points.
The level names are interesting, the 4th level is rather cool (groan) and the music for it is very nice.
The design is good too, though maybe a few too many powerups.
Other then that, it seems to be some normal battle levels. Download recommendation? Your choice.
