“TheOtherWorld” is a pack of two so-called “training levels” (a term thats still pretty much undefined) where the player has to get through the whole level without any savepoints. It uses EvilMike’s cool “Temple” tileset, which was a good idea. The level design is okay, it mainly consists of a lot of animated obstacles (spikes for example). The eyecandy (if there is any) isn’t very exciting. I found some small layer problems.
Pre also put some very horrible music tune as the background for the “REFLEXIO” level…worst music choice of the week, if you ask me. Luckily, the author forgot to put it in the ZiP archive anyways ;-)
Personally, i don’t like this type of levels much…its kinda annoying to start from the very beginning when you were about to pass the last obstacle. You should better make a good single player level out of it.
Well, in my opinion this pack is slightly below the average and therefore gets no download recommendation from me, sorry. “Training” freaks may like it, of course.[This review has been edited by Aiko]

yum pasta!
this could have been a great tilese, but it just misses alot of things (background layers, sucker tubes are some things that really enjoy me while playing :)
the set is very small, and thats a shame..id like to see a bigger version :)
the lvls are quite boring… (but u already knew that, right? the lvl name was boring battle after all)
i do like the name of FASTA PASTA..but hey a name doesnt make the lvl right?
a 3 u get from me – and a warning: i might get crazy-
———————————————————
and then is it allowed to say? i know i should use private messages for this but i’d really like to say that..plz?
stiletto it seems u have almost copied my “work harder” advice…i was talking to u as well..as i wasn’t really happy about your uploads either. (dont see this as a rude thing..see it as an advice..what counts for other ppl counts for u as well)
That’s nice but you made a fool out of your self ;) so you deserve a high.

Work a couple day`s on it and then upload it
Note: Giving a ten is not overrating or saying that there will be nothing better. You give a ten if the item complies well with today’s standards. That’s not to say that there won’t be anything better; the standards may very well change. Hopefully we won’t be playing as many hotels in the future, though. The rating does not change because a ten is a recognition of the item complying with the time/era’s standards. I just wanted to clear that up, as some of the reviewers are going by the false principle of standards always being the same in every time; this has certainly been proven wrong. Just review with comfort. ;-P
blah blah fixing…
All fixed.[This review has been edited by Bobby aka Dizzy]
Very cool.
It does a great job at duplicating the Jazz style while at the same time adding something new. It also looks realy great. The fog is cool.
Some minor con-s:
- like Disguise said, a couple of things are missing (tubes, poles, etc).
- I also kinda dislike the copying of graphics. I’ve seen the (layer 8) clouds, the big mouth turtle and the weapondestruct blocks before (okay the destruct-blocks is nitpicking)…
btw…the keys and doorlocks are not new. Tomb Rabbit used them as well.

Dunno weird euh
Rate this plz
Littl’ note: Has anyone noticed stunts to be paranoid? I think he is… But this is the place nor the time to speak of that.
How can a level with NO reviews have an average grade of 8???
This tileset indeed looks nice and is pretty easy to use, but it misses a lot of things.
Ill be awaiting something like a v2.0 or the like, for now it isnt much yet
‘Fraid i have to give a low rating to this too…
What is asault anyway? ;p
Nicely made. Worth your space and an 8.
Keep it up!

1) If your not going to remap the tileset pallette then make it something neet (I’m making Jazz 1898, an old fashion tileset).
2)When will you learn that power-ups must not lie all over the level and be things that you up-cut to get ammo, if your so despirate to put power-ups in every corner then get rid of the ammo.
3) All your levels are so tiny (and so are there rating ;) make a big level, this level looks like it was made in 10 minits maximum 15.
And it’s not got anything to do with a temple or else call me Blindy-Billy-Bench-Eater.
