Weird I get a “Query problem” when I try to edit the info. Oh well, I’ll just say it here, then:
THIS LEVEL NEEDS TSF
I used the Xmas enemies hence the name ‘elves’ (santa has elves, right?).
woops sorry about that, I’ll change teh version number to 1.24 now.
The "Xmas Pack" by Blade & Wille is a great compilation of ten(!) quality single player maps using the awesome "Holiday Hare" tileset (except the last level "Demonic Domain" that uses the "Haunted House" set).
The design of the levels is very good and so is the eyecandy. And as iCeD mentioned, the authors put a lot of effort into enemy placement and balancing the difficulty level, which pays off: it’s a lot of fun and the player will need some time to make it through all the levels.
To sum it up, this is the perfect download for the Christmas holidays. EVERY Jazz2 fan should GET THiS Xmas present from Finland IMMEDIATELY! Blade and Wille showed us once again that they are elite J2 creators.
"Easter elves" is another nice level using the TSF-Carrotus/Easter tileset.
The design is okay (despite the Xmas enemies don’t fit that good :) and the eyecandy is pretty strange in some places. But that gives it an original touch, somehow :)
The main downfall of "Easter elves" is that it’s too short and easy (finished in less than 5 minutes max.).
If you are one of those bored single player fans, you may want to DOWNLOAD THiS.
P.S. Wrong version number 1.23 in the info (try the "edit info" function).
"Unknown worlds" by Hystar is a pretty nice and small battle map using Mez’s second tileset. The design is very tight (like in Spy’s levels for example) and the eyecandy is good.
Unfortuantely the great "Stardust Memories" background music (german trackers rool!!!) doesn’t play (hint: fix the bug and use the RE-UPLOAD function).
Well, actually the level is a tad too small and some structures are very repetitive. But overall, it’ll make a fun battle :-)
Let’s DOWNLOAD, fellow Battle fans!
Where’d you come up with elves? :P
You misused the tileset in a few places, but over all.. 6.2
just to give myself some hope for the futere of building levels:-DDDDD
I don’t rate this cause I’am the second author but I must say that Wille makes incredible levels.
To BlewMeUp: TSF has the christmas enemies! But of course Christmas Chronicles has those enemies too.
Um, FoD, don’t you have something more to say besides, “Nice?” :-)
Anyway, this level is pretty good. Great design and eye candy, good event placement (I just think it could of used a bit more, really). Also, don’t really find this level a big challenge.
Anyway, any Single Player fan (If they exist) will like this. Well, as a matter a fact, just about anyway. Download now!
Haven’t finished it yet, but it looks nice.
WoW, very good single player pack. The design, eye candy and many other stuffs were good. I liked the difficulty balance, and it was a lot of fun.
Blade and Wille have whipped up a VERY nice level back. DOWNLOAD NOW! :-)
This are very inpressive single player levels. Amazing in just about anything, design, eye candy, event placement, length, ect. Although, I dislike the fact that this uses TSF, but I think that’s the only way, onless you want to sacrifice losing those christmas like enemies.
Anyway, download? Yes!
Excellent!
I didn’t have the full version of Jazz 1 but…
Well, lt;bgt;thatslt;/bgt; another story…
Ya wanna hear that story? Check out JMMB!
Ahem! Anyway, this tileset is really kewl.
COOL! (YER ALL WEIRDOS)
I think I would like to see all the admins doing that….[This review has been edited by KJAZZ]
Indeed, “Christmas Caper” is a great single player level (as iCeD already mentioned).
From design (enemy placement!) to eyecandy (well, it could need a bit more): everything is very well-made and it’s real fun to play. Like most single player levels, it’s a bit too easy though.
I really recommend to DOWNLOAD THiS for some single player holiday fun :-)
Sorry, i think i’ve presses submit 2 times.
It’s deleted now.
I just hate the layer 8 in the Matrix level. I liked the design there though. The eye candy was decent. The glow in the dark level was too simple for my taste. Not entirely bad though.
Overall it just slips from a download recommendation.
Not bad levels, they were sort of weird. The music files fit well (but were kinda annoying. :-).
Overall an OK pack you might want to download.
In my opinion a below average race pack. I found it confusing and the eye candy doesn’t fit well at all. At least the music is nice…
No download recommendation from me. Sorry.
