Not very small, or big, I think. Open and simple level design. Not bad, but there could be more stuff around, like statues. There is not enough weapons, and tileset wasn’t used very well.
Hm.
Unfinished example level. No music and no name. You should make a battle/CTF/single player level with this tileset and then send the whole pack here.
Tileset is not very beautiful. Lots of empty tiles. Newspaz has also copied graphics from original Jazz2 tilesets.
I think this is still pretty nice tileset. Good work, Newspaz!
Whoa very nice tileset by the NewSpaz. Not too many tiles but i dont see any useless tiles. Some animating tiles would be nice though, but can’t really complain about this one. Also the author added an example level (which could be a bit better) but overall a very nice tileset :-)
splash I DO need help could u please help me or anyone I just well…NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
hmm…it seems that u dont learn from your mistakes, do u?
still thos not so beautiful tiles misplacements, no nice things in the background (ok he made it blue, but no kewl stuff like trees). bad eyecandy. playability: not so very well. if u had made things look much better and u had added enemies n stuff, it would have become a nice single player lvl, but as a battle lvl it isn’t very good.
again, build your lvl with a critic’s eye, so dont be content too fast.
thankgod he put in the music file, but i dont know if a next lvl is set, i didnt look this time…
so i suggest u stop spamming this site and go into yer little building room and go working on a kewl lvl the next month. maybe u will make a fine un then, but please dont come here to put yer quick made lvls on.
no download worhty, im sorry
Another very handy level from the Netherlands. Laguna seems to like this classic battle style using a very open design, which i appreciate.
The eyecandy is good but i think it still could need more. Weapon selection is good also.
All in all a good download for all passionate roasters! Not much to critize (or to praise :-).
I was very undecided if to give six or seven points. Maybe i’ll decrease the rating once in a while, who knows :-)
first u say this lvl is WAY better then the rest, then u say u hate yer lvls!
what are u trying to do here?
i suggest u read my review of the jazzaberryland and read the whole of it about the lvl building stuff.
Helloween Hare 99 is a very good single player pack that contains two levels using JJ1 tilesets, which arent used too often.
The design is great and allows very easy navigating and fluent gameplay. The eyecandy is okay (there are some real nice details).
The reason why i decided to give seven instead of a eight points is that the pack is way too easy! The author should have put lots more enemies and less savepoints.
Also, i didnt hear any music in "Bloxonius Bunny" (should be "xmas2.s3m" i guess).
But overall, these two levels will bring you 10 minutes of pure single player fun! A GREAT DOWNLOAD (High seven points)!
Bobby: TSF rocks!
Aiko I hate my lvl’s I make them in 10 mins slots everyday It ***** me off.But I have a new battle that workes only one lvl so far but hey that is a monkey with no head no arms to teeth no nose no ears……
Please always make levels in 1.23 if you can.
There are 2 powerups!
First of all the blaster powerup and the RF powerup, well if someone goes into the carrot room the entrance is triggered so you can go there (the text string says) and if someone leaves the carrot room the entrance is de-triggered. Start a local network game 2player to find out gt;:)
Pretty cool single player level using the JJ1 Blocks set. I like the overall way this was done. Music choice was unoriginal, but fit well nonetheless. Enemies were quite well placed, but I felt the layout was kind of simple.
Conclusion: This is a MUST DOWNLOAD for all single player fans. :-)
A pretty good battle level, as the Author’s description says, this is small. Design is good, though I don’t like the layer 3, it is done in a wrong way, very confusing. Interesting the way this has no powerups (except that one I never knew how to get), but it needs a few more weapons.
Conclusion: Download now if you’re a battle fan. :-)
(btw, is there any way to get the powerup? I never found out how. Wait, and idea comes to mind, but I am too lazy to try it.)
Admins: this should better be deleted, so that the guy gets a chance to re-upload a working version.
By the way: you should calm down a bit, chris11, and spend more time on working on your levels.
In my opinion, "Jackal’s Arena" is definitely a good battlepack.
There is some nice layer work and the design is okay (a bit confusing to navigate), too.
Regarding the weapon placement, i think are too many of them in some places (3 powerups in a row? Um…:-).
To sum it, this is a levelpack thats definitely above the average and a good download for all us battle fans ;-)
P.S.: Level 1 and 2 aren’t linked with each other, which is pretty annoying.
I dont have much to add to Splash’s comments here.
This level uses the great “Africa” tileset by Disguise (which is not included in the ZiP; bad idea!) but there are lots of bugs in the level itself (tile placement, enemies etc.).
Design is below average and there is no eyecandy at all. I also had some problems navigation through the level and didnt hear any background music (thats because “quickman.s3m” isn’t in the ZiP file either).
Unfortunately i really can’t recommend to download this one.
A pretty average level pack here.
I like the layout in the first level, though the water looked awful in it (I really wish 16 bit were faster for me.)
There is no next level setting in the first level, bad idea. The second level is weird, I got confused in it because I found no way to get out of the starting room. I don’t like the music pick in the second level too much.
Btw, why is this TSF? I can’t find any TSF only stuff in here.
Noooooooooo I put the wrong lvl’s in !!!!!!
it wasn’t ment to be that version of my queen lvl and the others bad me bad me(repeted stabbing into chest nosies).
How horride of you I like my @‘s thankyou very much anyway I have a better battle lvl now so ha ha
(This is your last warning. STOP THAT. ~iCeD)
