@Micky,
Updated, try it now.
@king,
It has nothing to do with jazz’s folder, The program has to be loaded AFTER jazz is open, that’s all.
Competently made. The biggest flaws I can see are the ammo placement (too much and uneven), invisible walls (they’re useless and a bit confusing), and tilebugs.
I found a error CameraMode
I press ALT+S got Access Violation

You can fix this?

This reminds me of xlmtriton. Looks good but it’s the standard use of the set. The background should’ve had a color (all the black looks empty). It’s also tiny. One carrot with two PUs in a small level is a bad idea, it’s almost like Instagib. Music doesn’t fit. Overall it’s above average. 5.5 is the average rating so I’ll give a 6.7.
Good one as for your first level, for now it deserves a solid 6. I hope you are on a good way to make better ones :)
btw mates, don`t overrate our own levels :-)
I found this level very interesting.Gameplay is very good, eyecandy shows alot of nature and I recommend to download this. Keep on with the good work. :)
Toni: I found 329478326487326847235 tilebugs in ur levels! HAVE FUN FIXING THEM!
hmm this ain`t the best ELC level so far but w/e XD
hoped it would look like in the beginning but I noticed now it doesn`t.. too bad, I would`ve given this a higher rating.
it just could have been better, now level deserves a 7.7.
Level really has a great layout , I like the idea of a monster face up,Eyecandy is just soo uberleet.,but it’s not so great for non-plusers because they get stuck in a suck tube.Anyway I still like it :)
[Don’t rate levels you didn’t download. Original rating 8.7. ~cooba]
Well, as eagle told me, this is the best level of ELC uploaded on J2O so far.
I will start with music. Overused, not sure why did you choose this, but I really like it. Fits a bit with the level. Really good.
Eyecandy is well done. I like how you used black tile as I used in my Old Jungle and Magic Dust. Everyone told me it’s original. Maybe you found it good and made a level with that, too. If so, thanks :). Maybe those mountains in bg or however to call them are placed down too much, but I like it. Some good combination of tiles what I like. On the top I like that wall what block you to go up. The whole level has good eyecandy.
Gameplay is great. Can’t remember last time when I was playing a battle level, better gameplay. Some power ups. Skele didn’t use to force this level with big PUs like seeks and RFs. Warps-useless. The only thing what I don’t like in gameplay is that it is too spaz biased. Needs more springs. That’s all.
Tilebugs: everywhere. Just be on 20,34 and look around yourself. You will see them everywhere! Starting with layer 3, to the other tilebugs, there is a big number of them. This tileset is not very hard to use as eagle said. It’s very easy, imo.
7,20 – I don’t get why there is a lava waterup or how to call it. Lava is going up. You should make animation a bit different.
75,27 – maybe not a tilebug but I don’t get why there is a shaking spring.
50,14 – another one shaking spring.
But as you all know, I am not going to make the rate lower because of some tilebugs. I do it ONLY if the level has a big number of them, like Tropical Wonders. This has about 20 tilebugs, all on the same place and I a not going to make the rate lower. Maybe it is overrated by the other members of ELC, but I will give 7.5. Again, overrated by eagle and ron (probably by panther, too) but I am not going to balance the rate. You really should download this when/if the author fixes the bugs.
This tileset is very hard to use , but you did it very nicely , eyecandy is cool , gameplay is very playable , I don’t really see bugs or bad stuff so I think this level deserves 9.5 and I recommend to download it. ;)
I love this tileset,I love this level.
@Toni: Please stop whining how ELC members overrate the levels of other ELC members. I just love this tileset and the level is fine too,so please don’t.
The level is fine. The class system is a nice idea (but did you develop it?) and most of the level was good, but it has too many unneeded open spaces,an extremely large pit and it lacks eyecandy at some places. Also, resize the level before you upload it :P
You need Plus for the trigger command (to make you the awesome one, and others not)
This level is incorrectly labelled as 1.23+, although it actually needs 1.24, and I don’t see how plus makes a difference. It’s an interesting concept, having the players try to find their way to one of three warps while blind. If the player finds the right ones in the right order, they are told they are awesome. Else they aren’t told they are awesome. The gameplay is basically just flailing around blindly, so it didn’t keep me incredibly entertained, although I guess I could imagine if you just want to screw around with friends, and chat and stuff, it could be an alright level to host.
Since Skele requested a fair, unbiased rating, I will post this review.
First of all, I have to say that you included the wrong tileset in the .zip file (you included CarrFixDiam.j2t, forcing me to search for CarrFixDiam2.j2t). A minor bug, but it should be easy to fix.
Second of all, I don’t quite agree with all the 8.0+ and 9.0+ ratings this upload has. It’s decent, but it has room for improvement. This level, aptly titled “Wild Carrot”, is a relatively small battle level. There is lots of eyecandy but upon closer inspection, I can see a few little tilebugs. It is obvious that the author put a lot of effort into the eyecandy. All eight layers are present, but imho it is a little bit too much; the vines in the foreground can get a little bit frustrating when navigating the level.
The layout is relatively simple and it’s built around a few paths, with two +1 carrots. The flamethrower powerup is hidden amongst the eyecandy under the bridge, making it slightly hard to notice, but that’s not such a big problem concerning the level’s small size. The RF powerup is hidden in the wall on the right side. One thing that I don’t like about the level, though, is that its small size sometimes makes restricts the player’s movement through the level, which isn’t exactly good for a battle level.
The music fits the level pretty well. Nothing more to say.
With all that being said, however, it is a decent level, and it’s definately worth a try. Download it, and maybe host a few small games with it. A small level with a few flaws, I give it a 7.1.
Where to begin?
Well the level is beautiful, which is always good. Not only that I love how the tileset matches the nature of the level itself. It’s open in between, with 2 bases, where it will be very interesting to camp.
In between you have glorious battles and a general feeling of openeness coupled with the two bases with a couple of closed corners.
Yet my description so far does no do the level justice, as even the middle ground, the no man’s land, isn’t just an empty space, far from it!
I think it could become one of the more popular levels overall. Seems ideal for 3v3’s.
COOL
