A very solid CTF level with a pleasant atmosphere. The layout is solid, although might be a little red biased because their base is slightly easier to defend.
Nonetheless, definate download reccomendation, as this is a very enjoyable level and one of snz’ best CTFs so far. :D
This level is done. I’m not going to make any changes other than extremely small ones.
I knew when I uploaded it that it wasn’t very good, as you can perhaps gather from the description, but I didn’t feel I had any ability to improve it.
Eh, my apologies, if I wasn’t being clear enough. This upload is primarily meant for developers that wish to integrate the given source code into their C++ projects. The main part of this upload is therefore the source code while ctrace.exe is merely an example on how to use the included code. If my main goal was to create a stand-alone automatic file packer then it would have many more features than this.
This is an example of a clever concept with poor execution. It’s quite a cool idea, but this level seems to need a lot more of…everything. I suggest remaking this either with a slightly bigger layout or a more limiting one. Also the ec is decent, but it could probably be better, the bg was nice though.
hey,i am confused. Can you give me a step by step instructions?
i know doesnt packpacker do the same thing?
Hasn’t there been already two of this kind of files?
I wasnt able to complete the Easy Test without jjfly and jjnowall. When you was warped at the walljumping part, you would get stuck.
Now if everybody would just use this, then nobody will ever forget to include tilesets!
Thats brilliant. =O
Not bad at all.
Time for me to review some levels.
Lets start, shall we?
Story
There is no story, therefore I will not rate this.
Tilebugs
There was a damn lot of tilebugs in this level, layer 4 contained a empty space which was solid so you couldnt pass.
Gameplay
At first, I didnt know where to go. But after jumping against a wall i found a warp. Very annoying to find those warps.
Enemy Placement
Crappy, there were a few enemies in the level, very easy to kill and the boss had no challenge at all. A 5 year old with no hands could beat this.
Score: 1.2 (0.2 extra, because there were animations)
Download Recc; No, No, just No!
Nagyon jó pályák. Gratula annak aki csinálta!
[Rating (10.0) clearance. English only please – cooba]
One of the best tilesets I’ve ever seen. It has some good tiles and I like those numbers and letters, really unique for a normal tileset (You usually find letters only in hotel tilesets). Good job.
Let’s rate:
EYECANDY
7.0
It’s good inside, but there should be more things outside.
GAMEPLAY
7.8
It’s nice for such a small level. I won’t rate by its size,so… I think the platform idea can be good used in a singleplayer level.
PICKUPS
7.5
Bah,I think I should get some other category instead of pickups…Oh well… The ammo placements are nice but I don’t like the ammo choice.
OVERALL
7.4
Well,I liked the idea with platforms and the level looks fine. I’ll give a DL rec,no matter the rating is 7.4. For the end, just one question: Why did you make the level too small?
oh guys sorry my bad… i left a jazz spawn event in the bottom left corner of “Test by master cheif” if u r guna host take it out.
Protip: make it possible for players to actually see your level
YOU WROTE THE LEVELNAMES IN ITALIAN!
I KNOW BECAUSE I’M FROM ITALY!
Gameplay
The gameplay is quite good, and there are 2 places to attack from each flag, but being non-symmetrical, it’s probably a little unabalanced. It’s also a little small, and a little tight. 8.0 out of 10
Eyecandy
Eyecandy is not that important to me, but I’ll review it anyways. I found that it was quite extensive, but a little too messy. I would have gotten rid of (or moved) the JJ2 logo, and gotten rid of some of the poles. 7.0 out of 10
Events
The events allow for smooth gameplay, ammo placement is excellent. I had more than enough, there were good amounts of PUs, everything was fine. 9.5 out of 10.
Overall
A great, albeit small asymmetrical CTF. DR? Yes!
7.2
Also, Cooba, what you said about this level is incredibly rude. An insult to level makers? That’s harsh. This was obviously well thought out, and effort was put into it, even if it’s not perfect.
