[Review changed to quick review. – Violet CLM]
This was quite nice level consdering the tileset and etc.. dl rec
well, if you are looking for the art up today. then you really need to download this. even if you find it looking a bit weird , the colourfulness and sphere will overtake you probably, download your ‘piratecursed-violin-monalisa-jj2’ level here.
I just remembered I had reviewed this level already, but then I checked this and noticed that I hadn’t. It is a decent level that I played once in a JDC event, so it should receive more of full reviews.
The atmosphere is dismal, as is the tileset, although the music choice isn’t. I’m sure there could have been better choices, but I’m fine with this one now. I don’t see any tilebugs here, nor anything that feels too bland either. The background here is default, but since this is a new tileset, it’s acceptable. The textured background has a nice fade colour even. There is also enough details in sprite layer and foreground. Napo’s best eyecandy so far.
The level layout reminds me about medieval skycrapers, although here you have solid ground from top to bottom between the two tall fort basements. The level seems balanced enough and is easy to move in around. The level clearly fits better for 3vs3 and larger games, and I rather wouldn’t try to play a duel here. The level has much diversity, as in where a player can go, and the bases seem to be positioned well.
This is Napo’s best level yet, and I’m looking forward to see more. It’s solid, balanced, good-looking, and fairly easy to learn even. Download and host recommendation.

Well, this is a level that practically works well. I played a round of 5vs5 here, guessing it wasn’t yet too much for a level of this size. This is a fairly small level, but it’s quite decent anyway.
Not much to say about the eyecandy here, the background feels rather empty, and doesn’t give the player a ‘living’ atmosphere like a level with good background does. There are also some tilebugs that irritate me a bit(See the first screenshot above.) It is far from the best use of Desolation, but I appreciate it at some rate anyway, since sprite layer and foreground look alright.
The gameplay does work well, probably the best for duels, but a 5vs5 here didn’t feel too crowded yet. There are some tricky dead ends here and there. Especially the bottom-middle of the level where an RF-PU spawns. You can get yourself busted over there by your opponent if you’re not careful enough. Also there are some quite random slopes and walls that annoy me. I often found myself jumping past the carrot for example since the flow isn’t actually very wise. Also I’m not sure if the PowerUps should spawn as fast as they do, since they are actually four.
This is a level that can be fun for a couple of times to play. It’s better than DitS, and is actually quite balanced because the semi-symmethric layout. However, I agree with people that Fort Medina is still better, because it just made more sense in every way. Bonus points for the music-choice though. I’d recommend to download and giving it a try anyway. GJ and Go on Napoleon. :P

interesting level, if mostly for the eyecandy. the eyecandy, however, is so awesomely wonderfully interesting it makes up for whatever shortcomings this level might have. music choice was interesting, thankfully for the levels best the music is the instrumental version
in short, interesting
There are many questionable things to be found in this level. For starters, I absolutely the despise the use of the solid metal in layer 5 which seems to be horribly out of place. Generally the use of Desolation here is very mediocre. The layout was not bad, but generic and the Full NRG is significantly closer to the blue base.
An okay level.
This level shows great creativity, and is very original. Nice EC , good gameplay, really unique theme :D
Odd music but it suits the level :)
Ownage level :D D/R
This is a new level by Snooze, and it uses Beach+ Sunset. It was made extremely quick, and it shows that Snooze still has the snzspeed. But the question is: is this level good or not?
This level has a really open layout, and it has a lot of vines, springs and float ups. So the flow is pretty good. While the level is medium-sized it feels bigger than it actually is. Compared to some of Snooze’s other levels this level focuses more on gameplay, which is good.
The eye candy is undoubtedly the best part of this level. The level is very colourful and makes the best use of this set so far (better than Condemned, sorry PJ xP) While it might look random to some people Snooze definitely put somet thought in it. The background is extremely nice too. The level is really surreal. Snooze is really good at making surreal levels and he has proved it with this.
This level has 3 carrots and 3 Power-Ups. The Power-Ups are Bouncer, RF and Toaster (almost every MP level by Snooze has a toaster PU) There is enough ammo so you won’t run out easily. There is a lot of bouncer ammo at the top, but personally I don’t mind.
Then a special section about the music. Snooze used an instrumental version of the song ‘Fairytale’. This song inspired him to make this level.
This level is really good. Download it now. You won’t be disappointed. ;0
A cool, psychedelic funfest with great eyecandy. While it may seem a bit confusing at first, it’s a really fun to play level after you learn it.
there’s a problem.
1) In far out in most of the places JCS gives error and stops responding and in gameplay soon after start i get access violation.
2) I don’t see anything changed in Birdland.
3)On psych 3 JCS on save & run sais there are unknown references.
WOW! I just love this level so much! The eyecandy has got to be the most creative I’ve ever seen. The layout is fantastic and is easy to navigate. There are a good variety of weapons to use and there are 3 PUs which aren’t too hard to get. This was made in just over 3 hours which is impressive!
The music choice is good too.

Snz apparently made this high-quality level in 3-4 h from scratch. Talk about snzspeed.
The level sports a ripe colourful look, a nice, working layout and one of the craziest music choices to be found.
PUs, carrots and ammo have been placed well and the red gems provide a nice extra-flavor.
This level certainly has top-5 of the year potential.
I have always liked wacky, silly or abstract levels, as they fit pretty well with jj2. This level is creative and wacky. After playing this I thought the layout could’ve had better flow and a more intuitive layout but it was still enjoyable. The gameplay fits the theme so that’s good enough.
Definitely D/L reccomended just for the theme.
I decided to change my review to a full size, since this didn’t yet have any, although it does deserve a few. It is probably Snooze’s best piece of work so far, in such a short time.
This level is just art. It has a theming and decoration you couldn’t even dream about. Or actually you could, this is a dreamland, or a fairytale with influences of surreality in it. It is colourful, yet it doesn’t hurt your eyes, unless you play on 8-bit perhaps. I’d recommend not to. The background might feel a bit strange at first, but it clearly fits to this really open level in a creative way. It’s actually fun to know, that layer 5 wasn’t used AT ALL.
The level has the best theming and eyecandy done in a while but it also plays quite well. The layout is 0ldschool. Platformy, yet it has some solid parts, like the edges. It reminds me about Sandstrand ‘O Hazes, but it is of course far more open and better than that. The level fits well for both duels and big AYCR or TB-games. I played out a 2vs2 TB here and it was a really fun and entertaining experience. The choice of ammunition and PowerUps was good, except for PepperSpray that feels a bit useless, since there is RF spread over the level anyway. I also like how the float ups work as elevators around the falls here.
This is one of Snooze’s best levels of all-time. A bizarre music choice adds atmosphere too. I recommend you to download and host it often.
EDIT: Looking at the rest of the reviews I noticed that I overrated this level slightly, since the gameplay isn’t after all very special. It’s still a really good level by the looks, but it can be just a bit too platformy, since there isn’t any logic in how they are placed.

The most vibrant, colourful and lively JJ2 level ever created. The creativity in this level is really outstanding, and what’s even more impressive is the incredible speed snz made this level in. The layout reminds you of some old school levels. It is very platformy, yet everything connects together well and everything was generally well placed.
i am agreeing with pj. the gameplay was decent but eyecandy has slightly bugs and is too random. i think 9.2 is overrating. new edit it slightly better but ec is still not that great in my opinion ^^.
temperature 26, at night?! xD
Czech’s spring is very helpful, and accommodation PU pleases me. Llv is good, but imho Fort was better ;D Somehow or other, i give You 8,7 now.
I really like CTF levels made by Nappy . All of them are full or tricks, have great eyecandy and gameplay!
The PUs’ placement is IMO balanced. 4 PUs [2x Bouncy]. I always liked the idea 2× +1C and 1x full energy. We already played there 2v2 so i know that was fine. The flow is very nice, many sucker tubes, springs, etc. what make it better.
You used this tileset very well. Eyecandy here is amazing. I hope this cherry heart is for me xD. I like those thermometers near bases and the light going out a tube! You placed some transulcent tiles, used layers very well. GJ!
DR? Sure! Go, play it
Edits quickreview: Napo has typed the reviews himself in his post. Was going to change my rating to a 7 btw, so good for you ^^
