If i try to start this level, it gives an error.
It says: “Jazz Jackrabbit 2 ran out of internal animation structures. This is most likely caused by too many enemies in the level. Please resolve this problem and restart Jazz Jackrabbit 2.”
How can I fix this? I really want to try out the level, but I can’t this way!
After about 6 hours, I finally beat this episode. The whole series was just awesome.
Story:
In the story of this episode, you had to travel to the ice cold and remote planet nippius. In there, you had to solve simple but hard and long puzzles to get to the top of the towers, to fight bosses, but not before having to solve another level. Once clearing all 3 bosses, you had to enter devan’s lair, where you fight him. Once you beat him, you have to chase a rocket turtle.
It’s a very good story. It totally immerses you in it. It’s more than I can put in words. You’ll have to see the awesomeness of it for yourself.
Story: 10
Eye Candy:
The eye candy is very good. The levels are beautiful, and obviously, a lot of work has been put into the eye candy itself. You have forests, poison rivers and lots more. The eye candy really fits with the level itself.
Eye candy: 10
Gameplay:
The gameplay was very good, too. The levels were challenging, and if it wasn’t enough of a challenge on easy, there was normal and hard. It was very challenging. Although sometimes it was a bit TOO challenging. At least
it’s a break from all the easy levels. It’s not just a level where you can just hold/tap spacebar, hold shift/press caps lock and just run and jump. I lost all my lives at least 4 times, but it was fun. The pack is very fun. About the most fun I had in years with this game.
Gameplay: 9.5
Music:
The music was very good. Not only was it good itself, it fit with the levels and game. It was a bit dark and shadowy at times, which is exactly what the whole atmosphere around this pack is. Not much more to say about it.
Music: 10
Enemy Placement:
The enemy placement was also very good. It was one of the things that made this challenging. The enemy placement fit well with where you were, and it wasn’t always the same enemy or the same action to defeat them. You had to do all sorts of things to defeat them. Not just tapping spacebar.
Enemy placement: 10
Pickups:
Not much to say about the pickups. They are very balanced, not much seekers, and also very innovative use of the freezer to illuminate the cave. There wasn’t too much ammo, so it was quite challenging.
Pickups: 9.5
Conclusion:
Story: 10
Eye Candy: 10
Gameplay: 9.5
Music: 10
Enemy Placement: 10
Pickups: 9.5
Download recommended: Highly!
I have one word that describes this: WOW.
You’re a good drawer at all this.
Just… don’t.
REVIEW
Only 2 of the levels were actually made by the author. The first being the level where you can select to either face the original bosses or the “bonus” bosses.
The second level is just a poorly done Bilsy battle where you start off by shooting some destruct scenery producing tilebugs after being shot. Next you walk into a warp and have to face Bilsy and you don’t even get ANY weapons to help. Killing him with just the Blaster is very hard even on the Easy difficulty.
As for all the other levels most of them are just the EPIC originals and the other level is the boss arena from Dx’s Cave. The player is placed just before the Boss arena and a very badly designed wall has been inserted to block the player from going back through the level. The Labrat one was done badly. I got stuck in the wall on starting this.
OVERALL THOUGHTS
This is basically a sort of Boss Rush level pack except NOTHING has been changed at all. There are already some perfectly good Boss Rush packs available.
I’m gonna give this 2.0 since the only effort that was put into this pack was in the Bilsy level and the level selection part.
DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION
No, you must design your own levels and not just edit orignals.
Nice level with good sucker-tubes !
please don’t upload files that aren’t yours…
I don’t know why i should rate this levels but let’s go on.
These levels are all Epic levels except 2.One is Dx’s Cave level and it looks like you made 1 on your own.
Story:
“missing animation”… No story!
*Eyecandy:
All the Boss levels from the original JJ2 game have a Jazz start near the boss in every one of them. So your contribution is just with that wall next to the “Jazz Start” event.
I don’t think you ever heard of JJfly and JJnowall…
I played the levels from the begining :D ,so it won’t be that annoying and boring.
Gameplay:
The JJ2 levels (this vs.) play:
You start at the end of each level, there’s no posibility to go back(because of the “so called” wall which is badly made in most cases.) you just have to stomp or fall or get to the boss to defeat it.
And in that Bilsy level you made there’s no gameplay.
You shoot some blocks and warped on a place to beat Bilsy.
Music:
“MA!” same as jj2 game.
Enemy and Picup Placement:
Same as jj2 again. There’s absolutely no change of anyone of them.
I have nothing to say of the author, where he lives, about his clothes ,his voice, etc.
So without saying anything else:
You should make your own levels and my rating is 3.2! with no DR
you don’t have to get angry.
“N00b” has more than just 1 sense:
Definition 1
1: Someone who is new to a game, or website, online game, or something.
2: A “noob” is a person who is new or inexperienced in a subject.
3: “Noob” is derived from the word ‘new’ .
4: Noobs are often referred to as n00bs as a sign of disrespect toward them.
Definition 2:
Originally an (shortened) insult to newcomers in forums or internet games. It is used in certain places to describe someone who is slightly – err…slow and ditsy. Basically it is used to insult a pesron who makes a stupid comment or somebody who makes many stupid comments.
Just because she said it(she did?!)that dosen’t mean that you are.
Think like this: If she did, she maybe didn’t actually knew what she was talking about, and she said it just because it’s a…..- common used word? -..
And what bug can be in MSPaint?
This is a ‘‘tileset’‘ with some bugs —-
Bad things :
BACKROUND – no
MASKS – no
TILES – very bad used … (enought colours !!)
PK2 sprites – same as tiles .
LEVEL MAKING – with this tileset can’t be made level
Good things :
DELETING – sure can be deleted from jj2
PALETE – jazz has got normal colours
JOKING – nice joke .
If you want tileset – PK2 , download tileset by Overlord
In gamemaker used default game – but changed sprite pictures !!
Nicely made, but you could’ve added a few checkpoints to help against the frustrations. I liked it because it was very original.
These levels are good! and valdr… A 3? let’s see if you could do them better!
MY rating i 9 with DR!
Ummm. Right the review.
I think these 2 levels are more like Lori friendly, not proof.
First the eyecandy is good, there were no tilebugs, I thought that the so called “ghost blocks “ were tilebugs.
Story: The level had no story. Bad thing. Always put a story to your levels, because that makes them interesting.
Tileset use is good, many tiles used this level was more like a maze but it’s good.
Gameplay is nice, you have to find 100 coins (actually 20× 5 coin) and on the way you encounter triggers warps sucker tubes and mostly enemies.
Enemy placement was balanced, but it had a poor type of placement (Lizards Fat Chicks and Tough Turts)
This level is wide and it feels large.
Music is carracteristically for the Town level: City1g.it
The big problem: No ammo!, some clifs are very dificult to get at even if you are playing with Spaz, no save points(not required) and few carrots.
Level is long, original and it worths playing. It’s fun!
So my rating is 8 with DR!
I can’t believe this is still here! I was working on a sequel, that featured an all new tileset (daytime and nighttime) and better environments (no more getting stuck in things) along with more realistic skateboard “physics” (the board flowed with the player better). I was going to call it Jazz’s Pro Skater :) The tilesets were all finished and I was working on four levels. It took place in California, and there was this cool section in the last level where there was an illusion of jumping between the foreground and the background.
Sadly, I was using Windows ME in those days and not backing stuff up, so when the computer went kaput, my work was lost, and I never got the urge to mod for JJ2 again.
C’est la vie
Weird…but funny. I ROFL’d. Definitely worth an 8.
P.S. the downloads of the file has got 2010 in it.
DR: Yes, if you want a laugh.
[quick review and no swearing ~cooba]
EDIT: Ok Cooba. I won’t swear.
Confession: I just blindly registered at 2008. lol
This is extremely useless. Not worth a rating.
Nothing works. >=O
6.5 and you love it? Are you sure about it?
I like it because it’s a good tileset, and the example level was very good had nice eyecandy good gameplay etc.
My rating is 9.2!
Not able to download? =(
No review until you’ve got the file.
:) :D :P LoL!!!!!!!!
Well.. It happends!
