This program is good, but not incerdible. To reduce colors, you can use “paint” :P.
But ithink, that program will by useful

This program is great. It fixes one of the most annoying problems you’ll face while making a tileset – color reduction. Unless you’re really good at it, color reduction will result in one of three things – a slightly worse looking set, a much worse looking set, and a downright repulsive looking set. With the help of TilesetPal, you can make a slightly worse looking set in a matter of minutes, palette events included.
I tested this program on a tileset that used about 6,000 colors, and it looked almost perfect when finished. It took about two minutes in all, too. With this program, not only can you do easy color reduction for tilesets, but it will also help to make basic palettes for your sets so you don’t have to do the annoying copy & paste work with other programs. This means people no longer have an excuse for not including palette events in their tilesets. Yay! =D
The only major problem I found with this program is that it has somewhat buggy .pcx support. I loaded a .pcx file, and it got completely distorted. I converted it to .bmp and then it worked fine. Also, having to download that file from Microsoft was an inconvenience, but nothing too bad. I can’t say the same for people with 56K though, since the file was 20-something megabytes.
In conclusion, this program is the best thing to happen to tileset makers since DTR. Quick and easy, useful, and it works great. Couldn’t ask for more.
Nice.
I’ve decided to review this level without a rating, because whatever is good or not is relative. Why else would one person percieve a level as good, and the other person would not see it as good or better?—Their sophistication? haha please; Standards are set depending on the majority of peoples tastes. The below is strictly my opinion. Wether or not you choose to agree with it and download the level is your choice alone.
Obviously the author took primary focus on the eyecandy. The level looks exceptional. The eyecandy isn’t very repetitive; There’s a lake at the bottom filled with coves and every area on land is densely covered with trees. In one area there is more variation with the “tall” trees (Seeker Woods) at the top right. Just when you thought the Diamondus Beta was used to its max.
The music is well chosen in my opinion. it’s a song by Alexander Brandon, so of course it sounds good. It fits with the theme and shouldn’t annoy most people. Overall, a very good first impression. This level is guaranteed to shock the newbies at first glance.
Normally, an average jj2 player would find the gameplay here quirky: There’s a full nrg, spaz-biasedness (though spaz players dominate jj2) the flow is off in some places, and the level doesn’t feel entirely polished. All of which people can adjust to with time. Although the level plays fast; the full nrg, various powerups, and a shield with the levels small size should make this level appeal to those who like some chaos in their fun. If you’re one of them I suggest you download this.
I can honestly say that I would play this level for a good few minutes of carnage, and then grow bored of it.

Or what is the REAL likk????
I played this in a server with Cooba, and I have to say, impressive.
Flow:
Awesome flow. Everything goes together nicely. I’d like to point out one thing: Jazz need not use the coptor to reach the seeker forest, as was said before. 5 of 5.
Eyecandy:
Pretty good. The use of 1ups behind the gems really being them out. The bubbler events are really well done. The only complaint I have is the background eyecandy. It looks like you just mirrored the cave tiles over and over again. 4 of 5.
Gameplay:
Pretty well done. There’s a good amount of weapons scattered about, with one full NRG in the middle. What’s really neat is the use of water. I find that lurking in the water shooting seekers out of the water can get me a lot of kills. 4.5 of 5.
5 + 4 + 4.5 = 13.5 / 3 = 4.5 * 2 = 9.
Download recommendation.
Crysilis… Not an under-mixed song…
Power of this song is generally in samples. As soon as song starts, they just rocks. Main background melody sample quality is terrific. Then comes next and next… In this way, it’s totally proffessional work.
Then, they are some little changes (to the good) in tune, like doubling of tone, moving tone 2 rows before.
Rhythm is fantastic, although bit repetitive. It’s made from normal loops, but they are distributed in awesomely sounding intervals.
(+) Samples, samples, samples
(+) Rhythm
(-) Maybe high-pitched sample sometime
(-) Nothing extra except samplec changed
This tune deserves high rating mainly for sounding, for samples, for rhythm. It’s when somebody has good sample database ;). Download recommendation.
Okay, here is mine review.
Firstly, I must say this is your best JJ remix ever, JSZ Jazz. Difference, what’s between the original and this remix is big as Mount Everest placed at the highest mountain in the world (err… what’s the name of it?). And thanks to God, to the better.
Okay, we have totally awesome new melodies perfectly fitting into original song. And here’s the problem. That melody is played by too over-pitched piano, it hurts ears sometimes. My ears survived, but what ears of others???
Harmony is okay in 95 % of song, just sometime it doen not pan out. And this is good, cause this is JSZ Jazz’s mix.
Sample choice is delicious, bass line and piano (except that high-pitched sample 8) are without any reservations. Rhythm is stylish, it’s made very well.
(+) New melodies fitting to original
(+) Samples
(+) Rhythm
(-) High-pitched piano
So, this piece gets download recommendation from me. It’s for originality, for sounding, for that how the remix should look. Good also for games.
TIP (Tip mark gets music with 8+ rating)
This is fantastic program! How did ya do that? Please lemme know ;p
This is a Perfect Level …
(Unsupported rating (10) removal. For one thing, it’s actually three levels … ~Violet)
Okay. This is extremely overrated so I guess I’ll balance out the rating.
Summer Dreams – A level by Odin
The first thing I noticed is that the level is very open in the top, and there’s no layer 5 eyecandy or whatsoever to make it at least a bit interesting. All there is is open space and backround.
I don’t really like the platforms in the level, they look really thin and again have nothing interesting about them, such as having at least some layer 5 cave tiles around them.
The eyecandy, in general, is alright. The bottom areas are ok, but the top is kinda lacking in the area. I also found a slight eyecandy bug at 49, 58, if it matters.
The placement of stuff is kinda weird. And 100 coins is O.o. I wouldn’t think you’d also be using ice ammo to look for secrets in the middle of a game, too, which makes me thing that this level would be used more for random hosting than serious games. Also, the reward for the 100 coins is rather =|. Too many ammo crates in one place will leave a big mess.
The flow of the level has a few bugs. Firstly, the pole sometimes throws me into a wall. A few horizontal springs (namely the one around 182, 45) juts me into a solid tile. 251, 53 also could’ve used a spring because its just an empty corner.
The layout of this level is huge. 256 horizontal wise is O.o. I’m not sure if the layout has much strategy at all, and isn’t just randomly put in to fill up the area. The 100 coin reward also allows for camping (when there’s a full energy and a blaster powerup, who needs to go out and run around?).
Overall, this level isn’t bad, but is far far far from a 9.2. I think I’d give it a 7.2. The music also has a looping problem, btw.
Edit: Fix the next level setting plz.
Edit 2: Defost deleted his review (he rated this a 9.2) so thats what I meant by this being overrated.

Hey i remember beta testing this level, and i really like it,well what i like is that there aren’t much where to go,so you can easily meat your enemy.Well this level deserves 8.7…
(Unsupported rating removal. All you’ve really said is that the level is small. Try to actually give the reader a sense of the level. ~Violet)
This should be removed, it sounds like the main title from Dr Robotnik’s Bean Machine. (Or it may not be, I haven’t played that game in ages)
(Unsupported rating (1) removal. I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to say here… it’s an exact rip? In that case, it would be advisable for you to actually play the game and check, as I doubt anyone else here is able to do it for you. ~Violet)
@hoi:
Reggen saved the levels and tilesets in a folder, which was ectracted in your jazz folder too. You find all levels in: “your jazz folder/DnessOut/Dness”
(replace “your jazz folder)
SO!!! COOOOOOLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i didn’t find the first level where to start from, then i looked for others and i didn’t find them so i don’t know ,you better tell what’s the name of the first level!!C1?
I think, Galavant do the good work!
I never saw that many character and this world are true paradise! Also I never saw that BIG tileset. You can bulid a perfect city, anceint palace’s, ruins in sunset town.. so I give you Gal for all, 10!. But I don’t now, why you need a e-mail…
I’m being kind to you because this is your first level. The general idea of your level is ok, but you need to:
-make the level entirely solid down there, so that you can’t fall off.
-make the walls thicker than one tile
-place the enemies in a better way (lab rats??? Skeletons??)
-make the level harder, longer and more challenging (because this was crappy short)
-at least fill in something in the music and next level entries
-remove the weak coop element
-USE the tileset and USE the different layers
-remove the exit sign near the endboss, ‘cause if you shoot it the level will be ended
-make the level more logical; is there anny point to what you’re playing through?
You will probably want to gain some more experience, but this isn’t bad for a first level! Mine was so much worse…
