I could download it now. I’m usually not much into reviewing musics, but there’s always the first time.
What we have here is a nice mash-up of Tube Electric (JJ1) and Linkin Park’s Points Of Authority.
Infact, I like this bootleg a lot, and will put it into my MP3 playlist I think.
The two songs fit together nicely, and create a nice new experience, especially if you knew both songs before.
The tube electric guitar was re-arranged, which sounds nice.
Overall:
A nice mash-up, worth the download especially for Rock fans.
EDIT:
Cooba, I just noticed that myself. :P

Gameplay
Ok, here’s the deal. Some lab animals have broken out, it is your job to eleminate them, or anihalate, whatever you like. You must solve some puzzles, which are hidden quite good. The boss gave it a nice touch, for a lava level. I enjoyed playing, and I hope others will too.
Eyecandy
The eyecandy was really good. Almost every spot is covered with an iron block, or some background walls. It looked very nice, and there were no tilebugs either.
Creativity
The story was quite creative, for as far as I could read. (Please make 3 @‘s before entering the actual text, or else it might be blocked by HP, score, boss HP, etc.) The puzzles weren’t that creative. You have to find a crate to lift a big box, that sorta stuff. Ever tried lever triggers? It is a bit hard, but there is a good article on J2O to learn it. (Took me about a week before it worked…)
Originality
I like the story, which is the most original from this whole level. For a single-single player level, it has quite original events, like when the teleporter broke, you must find a way around. It took me very long before I discovered that one… Pfew… Nope, it was quite original to me!
Overall
If you like puzzles and plain old shooting action, you’d better download and review this one.

Sure… I downloaded it too! :P
yay ppl r downloading my stupid lvl!!!!!!!!which i spent 5 minutes on!!!!!=D=D=D=D
Well, I’m typing this review as I listen. So here we go:
Begining- Some Chinese blips, gone to Turtemple. It sounds somewhat 8-bitish, but it stops
After Sudden Halt- It picks up, theres drums, that clapping noise, overall sounds like a Hong Kong Dance Club.
Sometime After that Part-
As soon as I typed Hong Kong Dance club I began to hear a sound from JJ3 that adds to the Hong Kong Club esque theme I’m feeling. It stops feeling Asian for a short point, but it goes back. By this point I’m 2:48 in to the song.
3 Minutes Mark- Mainly what I’ve been hearing. At 3:30, begins to fade out.
My Only complaint is the Chinese/Asian sounds are too 8 bit-ish feeling, and at times I lose the Asian Vibe and it seems too techno/Night Club-ish so, based on a caculation method I made up at the last minute I’m going to give it an 8.2, here’s why:
Pros-
Keeps an Asian vibe for the most part
When adding new ‘instrument’s it ussualy feels natural.
Some how still seems like Turtemple even though it used 1 theme from it.
Cons-
Loses Asian feel around 2:15 for a bit
Asian sounds are a bit too 8 bittish.
I wouldn’t reccomed it for an asian level unless it was something simmilar to Downtown Tokyo, but it does make a nice listen.
(What’s this, I’m making a review? Check to see if the apocalypse is coming! O.o;)
A super-useful little program (me being an archiver who hates to lose conversation :)), but there is this one problem that sours my opinion of it..
It doesn’t work in XP. It gives a “Please run Jazz and try again.” error message when I click ‘Start Log’ whileAll of which worked fine in Win95.
Another peculiar glitch is that I can’t move it in XP. O_o I could in Win95.
To potential downloaders— if you don’t use WinXP and like logs of conversation, download this. :)
I recently reviewed the other one, so this one might get a review aswell.
The set itself is very small again, with a few simple black tiles with green symbols on them. You can make floor, slopes, destruct blocks with 16 hitpoints, a background and invisible floor + slopes. Hardly any eyecandy tiles, no detail. Spikes and a few blocks are included aswell, but it’s way too less. A good point is that the tileset is very easy to use, but it flops because you can make hardly any eyecandy with it and it’s too simple overall. The background doesn’t work in textured mode.
Overall:
Small tileset with only the most needed tiles, lacks eyecandy and anything original.
Overall Score: 5.0
Starting Comments:
I was betatesting this level, but I guess I manage to make the review unbiased.
Played with: Lori
On difficulty: Medium
Playing time: N/A*
*As I betatested it, I already knew were most of the stuff was, thus playing time was shorter than usual.
Playability:
Very hard level, which is a good thing. I like hard levels. This one has very good enemy placement, nice puzzles and good item placement. The enemies are hard to avoid, but never unfair. There are also a few puzzles, which gives a nice change of pace and makes it more enjoyable.
Score: 8.0
Balance:
Hard as heck, great! I love the way the enemies are placed. A great improvement compared to the author’s last pack, which was fairly easy.
Score: 8.0
Creativity:
Not the most creative level I’ve ever seen, but the author did a nice job. The puzzles were quiet good, and some other stuff was done very well too. I like the way the level is in Nick Stadler style while still being different.
Score: 7.7
Eyecandy:
The eyecandy was OK. The sprite layer eyecandy was quite nice, the background could’ve had some more stuff. There are no tilebugs though, which is good. Overall the eyecandy is good enough for me.
Score: 7.0
Story:
This time the author even included a little story. It isn’t all around great, but it helps to make the level have a bit sense.
Score: 7.0
Overall:
Very good level with great enemy placement and good puzzles. It’s not perfect, but surely worth a download.
Overall Score: 8.0
Download Reccommendation: Yes
Very small tileset we have here. It includes all necessary ground tiles, some grey wall tiles, a few blocks (most of them look kinda weird), (custom) text + exit signs, a spaceship, and a few more tiles. It does not look bad, but lacks major details and eyecandy tiles, aswell as background layers. It’s easy to use, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that the tileset is lacking lots of stuff. I guess you could make a decent level with it, but it will be difficult to make any eyecandy with the tileset. Maybe use it for a cutscene or something similiar.
Overall:
Very small tileset, with lack of detail and eyecandy tiles.
Score: 5.2
Download Reccommendation: No.
Well okey however i am also not an expert i will rate to.
When i entered the first level i get the feeling it was making to fast. The background is very ugly there, make it move or make another. Also sometimes a hill is just a brown block :S
The music was kinda boring but maybe thats just me.
In the level where you fight the robot:
sorry but have you even tested that? The background is so bad! It moves way to fast and it isn’t cool to look at it, i get dizzy and stuff. NOT COOL!
Also i think the levels are a bit boring. The enemy’s respawn to fast to.
This al may sound hard but i know you can make better :) becose there are also some thing i say wich are just cool if you could fix them up a little. It is sometimes also a little hard (i get game over :P!) so just do more your best next time and it will go fine i think :) Story offcourse is bad but i think ya know that? ;)
Hehe fun tileset. I like bomberman and i remember a lot of the things you put in it. The idea is cool but well, you cant play bomberman in jazz ;) In bomberman you see and play it from the top and in jazz well, i bet you know :P
Little anoying: The blocks in the tileset, you have to shoot them 5 times or something, but this has nothing to do with the tileset so skip this part :P
Conclusion: Its a fun tileset but i dont think you can make very cool levels with it. You just cant use it for a sidescrolling level and well, i just dont know where you can use it for :P But it is kinda fun that you tried it, good job.

EYECANDY 3/25
Not a very good start. No textured backround, houndreds of tile errors. No backround or foreground ey7ecandy has been used.
GAMEPLAY 4/25
You said there were warps in the level. Well I could hardly find any warps. The only gameplay there is is a few crates.
ITEMS 7/25
Appalling use of ammo. Millions of empty spaces which could be filled in.
SIZE 17/25
OH, HOORAY!!You’ve just earnt yourself a high mark. Nice big area.
OVERALL MARK = 31/100
RATING = 3.0
Oh dear. That could have been better. But its one of those levels. Definatly no download recommendation since you need a 6.5
Example levels don’t have to be super-l33t-wow-omg levels, all they have to do is to show what you can do with the tileset and how to use some tiles…
This is a pretty good tileset for a game made in the 80’s. It has old graphics but it is still pretty nice. Good job at making this great tileset conversion. I like this tileset conversion and I sort of like Bomberman. There is lots of eyecandy in it like: bombs, skulls, flames coins etc. I like it because it is a very good tileset conversion.
Keep up the good work MSB3000. I hope to see more great levels and tilesets from you. I will review your other levels too. That is the end of my review.
Download Recommendation:
Yes.
Overall Rating:
I give this an 8.0.
WHAT THE O MY HOLY COW!?
this song is just plain wierd!
the drumbeat sounds like it went to the dark side of funky! and it’s too slow!
and i actually can’t really hear too much how it’s related to lagunicus.
this would be a good song for a level of weird things
i gives you a 7 for effort

Introduction:
Strange, strange title(un-l33ted, “Fan’lnt”?) for a pretty decent easy-listening-to-rock arrangement of Fanolint.
Song Analysis:
Starting out, the song doesn’t sound too much like Fanolint. In fact, it sounds more like something you might hear down in Chinatown or something.(Which isn’t a bad thing, mind you.)However, this song really begins to pick up around 2:50 when we hear added drums in the background. Around 3:50, though, all the samples playing begin to sort of clash with one another, but this only last for about fifteen seconds or so. Or maybe it just takes that long for me to adjust to the sound. Harr.
Finally, it starts to come to a long-winded, peaceful close from 4:51 onward.(That’s almost a pattern, there. One minute off from the other two major changes.) Nice.
Sample Analysis:
I think that all the samples Jazz picked for this work quite nicely with one another to make both “parts” of the song(“easy listening” and “rock”) pleasing to the ears. As I said, a couple of things might need some fine-tuning, but as it is, it’s nothing terribly harmful to the song itself.
Final Analysis:
It’s a little dry and doesn’t sound terribly like the original Fanolint song in some parts, but overall, it’s a really nice arrangement! Some things are a wee bit out of key, but honestly, it’s nothing that would hurt the ears. Additionally, it’s definately way better than some of his older work.
I recommend this for download because it’s a fun arrangement, dispite the keys of some of the samples.
I sense inspiration here. But I still WILL finish my piece, mwahaha. Not even JC will stop me! >]
Hey! I just found something that i’ve downloaded but havn’t rated.
EYECANDY 21/25
Great basic street eyecandy. Beautiful backround eyecandy and a textured sky. Layer 2 included
ITEMS 20/25
Well, we have a variety of items (Including food, which is very rare in battle levels). There is much ammo and hidden PowerUps.
GAMEPLAY 18/25
Not the best i’ve seen, but a repectable score. There are a few warps and springs. Bonus points for steam coming off the top of buildings.
SIZE 19/25
Both sizes are respectable. Could be a tiny bit bigger (I like big levels)
TOTAL = 78/100
RATING = 7.7
FINAL COMMENT: Very good. But an extra point would have given you a higher rating. At least your level gets a (high) download recommendation.
> Just for fun. Not for Collin’s
> offensive ratings…
Nice to know I’m being thought of in your music. Awww. <3
(He asked for it, Admins. I’m serious. He practically begged for it by putting that line in his Comments.)
Introduction:
Fanolint done in techno/electronica style. Though it only somewhat sounds like Fanolint.(The pot calling the kettle black, over here, I am. XD)
Song Analysis:
“Orchestra”? Not quite. Not at all, in fact. The introduction has a piano and some strings in it, but it soon divulges deep into the electronica stuff we’ve come to expect from Dan here.
Though not clearly marked, it sounds a little like Fanolint all throughout. But it seems only the first part of Fanolint.(Roughly 0:18 to 0:36 of the original song. Though the original was only 0:59 long to begin with.)
Sample Analysis:
Dang, boy! The samples you chose clash quite a bit in this music file, I notice. Right from the get-go at 1:00, the “blip” clashes with the strings and the electronic “whaa-whaa” sound. It clashes all the worse around 2:10 and forward. Rather offensive to the ears, in my opinion.
Final Analysis:
Aside from the notes that make me want to turn down the volume, this isn’t a bad arrangement. Boring, sure. Repeatitive, definately. But it’s not entirely Dan’s fault as the original was only 0:59 long, as I’d said.
I don’t recommend this file for download due to the fact that the samples clash. Badly. With a lot of work, however, it could be a very nice music file.
this song is freakn’ COOL!! :()
i have listened too it so much i don’t hear anything else anymore
i give you 9 because, as mentioned before, screech is annoying
download this, or you have no life
