Good eyecandy, but you could have used more layers and dont use texture mode on that texture since it dont work in texture mode. otherwise, no tilebug what i found

Level Design: 2 of 2.5
The level design where pretty good, but it sometimes where too easy, but thats not too bad.

Ammo Placement 2.2 of 2.5
Almost perfect, i got what i want here

Assault: 1.5 of 2.5
Not so much assualt of this i think.

Total 7.7
A pretty good level, i dont see levels from you often so thats good!

Chapter 7: Tropicana Bay (Island.j2t)

Far away, there’s a tropical island in the caribbean called Tropicana Bay. The sun always shines, the coral is terrific and the nature is still intact. Yet, this island isn’t popular with tourists. Hardly a soul ever visits it… The inhabitants of the island are said to have a secret shrine hidden under the beach. Maybe there’s a treasure, or something else of great value to be found here. When pirate captain Scale and his crew went to discover the secret of the inhabitants, they never returned, and nothing has been heard about Tropicana Bay ever since…

Ok here is my review.

Eyecandy: The eyecandy of this tileset is awesome! There is tons of eyecandy in this tileset. I really like the green hills and the three blocks you can shoot and buttstomp.

Graphics Quality:
The grapahics quality is pretty good. The graphics of this tileset are awesome! Make more tilesets with this quality of graphics.

Example Level:
The example level is really good. It shows all the stuff you can use in this tileset really well. I like how the sand and rain come at different times it makes it look more realistic.

Music: The music was an excellent choice! I think it fits the level very well. The name of the music also fits the name of the tileset.

Conclusion: This tileset is the best tileset I’ve seen. Wow! Make more tilesets like this Violet CLM.

Overall: I give this an 8.0.

Download Reccomendation; Yes! Everyone should download this. I hope to see people make good levels with this tileset.

[B]Concept[/B]

A symmetrical CTF. Meh. Nothing we’ve seen before there. The Gun9 PU is unreachable, but it gives you a clue on how to get the RF PU. 6/10.

[B]Layout[/B]

The layout is spacy, however it has a few platforms. As mentioned before, the level is completely symmetrical, so much that the Ice MAN on the right side is mirrored. 5.5/10.

[B]Eyecandy[/B]

You put too much rockets and meteors in, but you can’t really see them. Simplistic, yet pretty good eyecandy. 7/10.

[B]Music[/B]

Bah. Aryx.s3m. I’ve seen it used so many times, it kinda gets annoying. That aside, it does fit well with the tileset/planet. 7.5/10.

[B]Pickups[/B]

One full carrot. Oh, and a good amount of ammo. 7.75/10.

[B]Hype[/B]

Hype is what the review score was prior to me reviewing it. GAMER’s and Black’s don’t count because those were crap reviews. 7.7/10.

[B]Tilt[/B]

Sapaspaz has put some effort in this, and it shows. 8/10.

layout: Good and original. i like it when people keep their lvl’s original it is nice and symetrical with both bases having powerups near them. 8/10

Weapon placement: Itotally disagree with GAME (CR) There is a bit too little
ammo the seeker powerup is in an easy place so everyone can get it. Overall it is OK. 7.9/10

Eye candy:not too bad you have made good use of the plain tileset as Green Plant mentioned and hey Black…..
CAN you see a good baground even if it was under your nose? i would like to see you make a background using this tileset? anyway i give this 7.9/10.

gameplay:Good. There are some springs that are no necessary and the suckatubes are easy to find so good!

Well, photoimpact is easy for hard stuff, but hard for easy stuff…go figure.

Maybe useful. but i think you can easy make this at your own. Good idea with theblack border though.
I wont rate it cause it´s just a stencil. But if i must it will be 7.2

I’ve changed the set a bit. I’ve also made a new example level as the last one was made in a hurry. Enjoy!

That is not a lame review. It is called “Constructive Criticism” telling what could be better in their opinion. It may sound a little harsh/rude but if you want to improve you need to be able to endure that. But GAMER, there are some levels that use the Aryx mod. They get downloaded, and people without the tracker don’t know who made it. Anyways, for the review.
And a little note:

The music is a example for the Modplug Tracker ;) Music: ????!

Layout
It is quite good. It is devided in platforms, reachable with springs.It is also quite easy to get from one base to the other.

Gameplay
There are alot of sucker tubes and springs. Some of the springs are a tad unneeded. Some of the Sucker Tubes are hidden, but some are also pointed out. Resulting that the hidden ones are quite easy to find.

Eye Candy and Music
It is okay, it has some transparant windows where you can look at the rockets and stuff. I agree with GAMER that there are a little bit too much stones flying there. Also, there is this part with those yellow blocks. They just look quite strange. There are other blocks. Maybe you could have used the blocks 3 tiles under the empty one. Because the other area with the same shape looks a little bit better with those tiles.

There are also places with suckertubes. Some nice transparant windows there too ^_ Also, somewhere there is an 3way PU, but I think thats for powering up the ship thing you are in. There is no way of getting that thing. Haven’t seen it before…

Music… Is okay.

Weapon and stuffu Placement
Quite good, but there is a little too much ammo. here are 2 PU’s. Toaster and Bouncy. ALOT of Seekers, that is quite not good, but Wha? A Seeker POWERUP that is easily reachable. Mweh… But for the rest, there is also alot of variation.

I don’t know for carrots, but I have only seen one full health carrot. nothing else… If there is another carrot, I am blind.

it has almost all the tiles that you need.
(v and h poles and vines but no hooks)
and the color on jazz’s fur looks cool

Great job Blackraptor! As I like to think and i know all your levels rock, here is an addition! Okay, here is my STOOPID review: ;D Eyecandy: My rating: 10/10 just… Comments: Okay, i love the background, and i especially like the lava use at the bottom with warps and stuff. Also the tileset used is really overused IMO. The level doesn’t get dull in the eyecandy and the level is nearly symmetrical, and is solid and platformy at good places. Gameplay: My Rating: 7/10 Comments: Well, over here the gameplay is good, but i don’t like it too much. It has a very original idea to it, which is good. One thing I don’t like is that there is hardly any springs. But the idea of a suckertube with a base inside is good. It can be kind of annoying in this level because of the warps at the bottom that take you back to the base you were last at. I don’t really like that, but it is a really cool idea, so good thinking! ;D Placement: My Rating: 9/10, just… Comments: I have hardly any comments here, but all i remember is that the placement was good. But the power-ups need electro blaster to get them. It is used quite a lot, but I can’t live with it. (-1) Overall: My Rating: 8.7 Comments: This level has a 85% chance of must download.
