Great JOB kejero![This review has been edited by dx dc]
Better than the original survivor, and lots of people run this on their servers. I love playing survivor, and these are great. I hope you make more, by the way!
Download, everyone!
This is pitiful. It was made with paint, and the terrain is one shade of brown, and the tiles on the hills don’t go together.. it was a nice try, especially because it was made with paint (atleast I hope so, if it wasn’t, I’d be scared).
Nice level, I’m just gonna right a list of pros and cons.
Pros………….
Nice eyecandy.
Original things here.
Good gameplay.
Cons………….
The line, “Yay, a sucker tube!” was kind of unncessary, but it’s not a big con.
Not much ammo.
The width of the level should’ve been adjusted so the map would fit nicely (on the right edge of the map, it just ends, and you see a lot of space.
Download reccomendation, like I said for the other level that was just released by darkhelmet.
An average level, really.
Eyecandy: Good
There was pretty good eyecandy, all though not too much to to look at, it made due. It could’ve been better, though. No mistakes, just nothing extremely nice.
Pros: No flaws.
Cons: Nothing great.
Ammo placement: Okay / good
The ammo placement wasn’t too good. The were a lot of spaces in the level with nothing there, though, and ammo could’ve been placed more in some areas.
Pros: Nice placement…
Cons: … where there IS ammo, that is.
Replay / fun factor: Good
Looks like a fun map to play, with plenty of space to move, run, and jump as you please. It uses the all ways fun to play Heaven tileset by the master of all tilesets, Agama.
Pros: Plently of space to run around.
Cons: It may be hard to find your opponent sometimes.
Bugs: Very good
No noticeable bugs here.
Pros: No bugs.
Cons: None.
Originality: N/A
Nothing new, but nothing old… that doesn’t make sense, does it? Oh well, I hope you understand =)
Pros: Nothing is copied.
Cons: Nothing is new.
Download reccomendation for all you Agama fans.
THEME: Is there a theme? It’s hard to tell. It might be a desert, but it seems a little too dark to be a desert, and too many clouds.
GRAPHICS: The platform is a solid brown color. The background is a textured background which does not work in 16-bit. The background eyecandy are a yellow circle and a solid white thing. The only things in the entire tileset with any shading at all are the tiles taken from official Jj2 tilesets.
Pros: The sign looks almost kind of semi-nearly ok.
Cons: No shading, no texture, no quality. Textured background doesn’t work, wall signs are almost invisible.
Rating: 2.0
INVENTORY: H/V poles (ripped), various blocks (ripped), spikes, signs, vine.
Pros: Some things there.
Cons: Several things are ripped, no hooks, no variation.
Rating: 3.0
ORIGINALITY: Nothing to speak of.
Pros: N/A
Cons: N/A
Rating: 1.2
COMPETITION: Assuming you can find a theme to this thing, I think anything else with this theme will be better.
(No pros given)
(No cons given)
(No rating given)
EASE OF USE: On the plus side, it seems fairly easy to use, although the top corners of the platforms are done rather poorly, and seriously hamper level design. Also there is no evident bottom for platforms.
Pros: N/A
Cons: A few errors.
Rating: 3.0
MASKING: The masking is ok, but as you might expect, it needs some work on the jagged areas.
Pros: Ok.
Cons: Jags.
Rating: 3.0
OVERALL: I’d say this is a no. The author tried, but the result is not paticularly satisfactory.
Pros: There is worse stuff out there.
Cons: Graphics, originality, bugs…
Rating: 2.2
There really aren’t too many decorations. The ones that are there seem hard to use It’s very small. On the plus side, it seems easy to use, and has poles, destructable scenery and vines. It also has spikes. After looking at the example level, I could see what could be done. The back layer seems buggy.
My inspirational thought for the day:
Don’t worry about it Bjani, my tilesets are about this quality too. The drawings are ok, just make more tiles next time.
To Violet: It’s a sun and a cloud, not just a “yellow thing” and a “white thing” (You could have at least said “fluffy white thing”)
I make all my tilesets with paint… Oh, point proven…
Hey, what else should you make it with?[This review has been edited by mikeejimbo]
DONT PUT ANY REWIEVS HERE!!
These tilesets are tilesets for i.o.d
(invasion of devan)
and tileset authors are:Agama,Blade and
epic.[This review has been edited by snooz]
This is a great tileset!
All the needed tiles are there (blocks, hook, spikes, suckers, arrrows, text sign, exit sign, etc.)
The theme is also really orgininal, it looks like the inside of a machine or something like that.
The mask is also without flaws.
And everything is well drawn.
this tileset….it looks like an orbitus(jj1planet..)Anyway this is good tileset.Download recommered!!
