Ok, here is my long review. I have encountered problems, but i found out its because of the version of the set i have os an older one, not the newer ones.
So here goes my review:
Level 1: A short, but well made cutsene, nothing more to say, same goes for level 2
Level 3: A short cutsene, not as “special” as the last two…
LEvel 4: I didnt like this level, some screwed up parts, and i dunno why i kept getting hurt all the time, and i couldnt do anything to stop me from getting hurt, so i didnt quite understand this level.
Level 5: Another short cutsene
Level 6: Not a cutsene, but to short and not really fun to play.
Level 7: SO far the best level probably, good animations and tile use, but eyecadny could use more work and the level lacks ammo, and food was very sparce.
Level 8: at first it was a bit fun playing the level, but the level lacked ammo placement, and it was possible to fall off the level and fall endlessly, which wasnt good. I didnt like this one to much iehter.
Level 9: The level has SOME gems and SOME ammo and SOME eyecandy, but it was confusing, short, and not that fun to play, to short…..

Level 10: A bit confusing, but ok. Hadsome gmes in the “bonus planet”, about an average level.

Level 11: sigh to much cutsenes, need more levels to play, not to stare at what happens. I dont really know what this cutsene is even suppose to represent..

Level 12: The lognest level so far probably. The start of it was ok, but the part where tomator said you wont get through this, i think jaws want to purposly slaughter jazz, because that is almost impossible to pass (unless you cheat). Take it easy jaws ;P
Level 13: Interesting idea, good and gun, expect i was ticked by the annoying choice of enemies. I really dont like sparks here, tehy make the level more confusing and its hard to hit them in this terrain, same with walking suckerz when you are on the airboard, they are too low…..
Level 14: A fun level, running with tomator and the vikings, but to short and lacked ammo and food..
Levek 15: The vikings reached home, the 346th time, now some person will probably make another lost viking episide where they get caught again. I think this cutsene like level was made to torment tomator…
Level 16: Credits….
OVERALL: Just a small note, sorry for the excessive amount of negativity in the review, i tried making it as positive as possible, but i just didnt like the pack as much, please dont take it as a personal attack. Anyways, some ok levels which lack some stuff, but they’re ok.
Pros: The animations were really good (3.5), the story was ok (0.5), good use of triggers and such (1.0), and some levels were fun and ok (1.0). Also, Erik, Barleog and Olaf are included (0.2) and they were funny in the original game. Jaws tried to imitate the puzzle idea in the lost vikings, but you didnt have to think as much for it.
Cons: Levels were to short(-0.5) and sometimes hard and confusing(-0.5). Also, they lack placement and eyecandy (-1.2).
Pros and Cons rating: 4, which is to harsh for this, so ill give it a 6.7, considering the time he spent making the levels and finding the musics.
So download this if you want, but it isnt really one of those packs like The episode or Night world, but its strange, and you may even grow fond of these types of packs, so download it if you want.

(Sorry, again, for the strict rating. I just didnt like these types of levels as much. If the level was more longer and had better eyecandy and placement, then it might have gotten a 9 from me, but for now ill keep it to 6.7.)

Although there are a few too many really short ‘cutscenes’, and on occasion too many hurt events, this is a good single player pack. I’m busy, so I can’t write an extensive review, but I can say that the story factor is large in this.

Graphics = 10/10, excellent graphics but this is a very small area, I don’t care about graphics.

Control = 8/10, there should be more weapons and Jazz moves weirdly.

Gameplay = 5/10, Good but nothing happens when UFOs leave screen, and they can’t even destroy buildings. Plus you should’ve added Lori and Spaz.

Sound = 3/10, good song but only song.

Difficulty = 5/10, It’s easy and it’s hard at times. I only got up to level 3 then the spaceships went off the screen.

Math: 5+3+5+8=31 31/5 = 6.2
Overall: 6.2 for you

Just a few more j1 tilesets now……..

The tileset, although it looks cool, is missing a lot of the tiles violet usually puts in his conversions. Im not exactly sure what is missing and what isnt, but i can tell that this is an ok conversion. Yes, a textured backround would of been better, but this was violets first conversion, and he was just getting the hang of it then, so you cant blame him if it isnt “complete”[This review has been edited by Blackraptor]

If it’s only 200 tiles then why did you make it in TSF? Seems quite pointless to me..Put it in 1.23 and I’ll consider rating it.

If, by “Diagonal pipes” you mean the sucker tubes, there were no diagonal pipes in Sluggion. Quite a few tiles in the tileset (obviously) were added.

If anyone can tell me any animations and/or tiles this conversion is missing, I will very gladly fix it ASAP.[This review has been edited by Violet CLM]

Why The Program Don’t Work? The Password Still On The Level,
Can Some Budy HELP ME????????(Pleaszz?????)

(Do not give 1 ratings just because something does not work, even though this actually does, though not for the purposes you seem to believe incorrectly it is supposed to. In addition, I would recommend actually reading the level upload, as what I believe to be most J2O levels are not password removers. I have no idea where you got the idea that this removes passwords, but J2O is not the place for such a program, anyway. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]

Groovy!

Cool tileset, good masking. I don’t know if there are tiles missing, since I never saw this before, since I only have the demo, but it’s cool anyways.

Very good. Almost no tiles are missing, masking is nice.

I don’t think we’ll miss diagonal pipes since we can’t make diagonal suckers. Whatever, this deserves a 8. For more info, read the other reviews. HAHA.[This review has been edited by Fl@$h aka BlewMeUp]

Very good conversion. Gets all nostalgic about JJ1 How long has it been since JJ2 came out? Four years? (And then some.) And we STILL are missing a majority of the JJ1 sets? We, the community of Jazz 2, demand more conversions!

Oh, and Taz, hate to break it to ya’, but that IS the Sluggion music. And if you ask me, it rocks!

The tileset looks good, but like most JJ1 conversions, it is missing some key tiles. (And has a lack of animations other than arrows.) Like those diagonal pipes? (I think they were in Sluggion, but it’s been a long time.) Anyway, keep up the good work.

Oh, and btw, cool caption on the example level!

All Jazz 1 fans, download this!
