Unfortunately after I made the left chasm part of it stuff happend that deterred me from working on it for a while and then I lost interest. I worked very slowly on this from time to time until recently, and only made a bit of the bottom over the last few months. However, I thought this would be the perfect level to release on 6/6/6 so on June 5th and June 6th I had worked heavily on the level and finished the remaining 80% or so of it in those two days. Unfortunately, even in the level's unpolished state I barely missed the deadline (midnight 6/6/6) so I couldnt release it then. I thought the level was heavily rushed and unpolished, and I sent it to FS and Blur to check over. FS didn't really get to it, but Blur hosted it a few times and pointed out a lot of stuff that I can do to fix or improve the level and gave a lot of suggestions and criticism so kudos to him. Few things I'd like to mention. I am aware there are eyecandy bugs and maybe even masking problems; that's because Damn was a very limiting set to work with and I had to make a lot of improvisations and use a lot of tiles in ways that they probably weren't meant to be used in. I also found that despite the set's potential, it lacks a larger variety of eyecandy tiles and such; I've had to reuse the same bone skeletons a number of times and it got a bit boring (I hope it wont be boring when you play it though =\). Aside from that, I'm relatively pleased with a lot of stuff I managed to do with this set, and I liked some of the eyecandy the tileset made possible to do. Another thing that might be slightly amusing or so to some people was that this level was intended to be treasure mode at first (it was named BlackyTRS all the way through until right before I put it into the zip), until I changed my mind because not enough people play treasure really. I thought about making it CTF since it was planned to be fairly symmetrical, but then quickly changed my mind to battle mode. After that, I had another mind change and thought the pits would make an interesting LRS level, so here it is. Enjoy, I guess. Happy coming of satan and National Slayer Day, I guess. ________________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _____________________________________________ Credits and Stuff: Level: Blackraptor (OLC) Tileset: Epic Music: Nightrealm (I love this guy's stuff) -Note on music: I edited a few samples very slightly, and lowered the volume on some notes because jj2 played some instruments wrong and they were too loud and otherwise displeasing to the ears. Toning them down a bit is the only change I made to the song. Betatester: BlurredD (FS gets some kind of mention here for at least getting a copy of the level before it was released ;P) Yeah. Stay tune for future releases, which probably wont be coming anytime soon, but whatever. ~Blacky.
