+------------------------------+ |SUPER MAGA HAPPY FUN LAND 100%| | OPERATOR'S MANUAL | +------------------------------+ This level can be pretty complicated, so this should help you a bit if you want to host it. 1. This level needs to be hosted in battle mode, otherwise the arenas won't work. However, killing should only be allowed within the arenas. You need to make sure players obey this rule! 2. You should have a decent connection... packet loss can be hell in this level. If coins stop respawning, use /spawnobjects. If triggers glitch out, you're out of luck. Players will just have to rejoin. Do NOT manually update the triggers; this will seriously break the level and you will probably have to restart it if you do that. 3. In order for the two arenas to work, you need to have access to the control room. When the level starts, you should see a red arrow pointing downards inside the lobby area. It's near the red spring. There is an invisible floor underneath the arrow, containing a warp that takes you to the control room. When you first start the level, enter that warp immediately! It will seal the control room, so only you will be able to enter it. From that point on, you will be able to enter the control room from various points in the level (usually marked by red arrows). 4. In the control room, you will see 4 sets of crates. The red/green/blue ones are used for declaring a winner in the arenas. Basically, when there is only one combatant left in an arena, hit the appropriate crate. For the free for all arena, hit the green crate. For the duel arena, hit the crate corresponding to that player's "colour" (thus if the player in the red box won, hit the red crate). These crates will not only award the winner inside the arena, but also award the people who bet on the winner. Thus, it is very important to hit the right colour. As for the crate marked 31, it is used to begin a match. Once all players are ready, and people have placed their bets, hit 31. In the waiting room for the duel arena, there is also a crate 31 to the side, for your convenience. 5. There are 3 warps in the control room. The white one takes you to the lobby. The flashing red/blue one takes you to the spectator box inside the duel arena. The green one takes you to the free for all arena. 6. HOW TO DO A FREE FOR ALL: First, everyone needs to get inside the arena, including you. You will all be put inside a waiting room. Inside the waiting room, there is a warp to the control room. Enter it, and hit crate 31 to start the match. If you want to play, enter the green warp to return to the arena, and start fighting! If you don't want to play, go back to the lobby via the white warp. Once there is only a single player left in the arena, go into the control room and hit the green crate. This will open up the middle platform, where the winner can fall through and claim his prize (make sure you tell him this). If YOU are the winner, then you can hit the green crate, re-enter the arena, and claim the prize yourself. And finally, if there is no winner, there is no need to do anything. 7. HOW TO DO A DUEL (PIT FIGHT): Players must either bet or compete. To bet, enter one of the numbered warps. To compete, players must enter the red or blue warp, and wait there. MAKE SURE they wait in their boxes. Note that you should always enter one of the numbered warps. If you are betting, choose normally. If you are competing, enter the 200 warp (this will let you win the full prize). This rule only applies to the controller. You will now be in the waiting room. The left wall can be passed through, giving you access to crate 31. Hit it once everyone is ready. Most importantly, only start the match once players are in the red and blue boxes. There should be only one player per box. Once everything is set up, hit crate 31, return to the waiting room, and the match will start. If you wish to compete, then left of crate 31 you can enter a red or blue warp. These will make you a competitor. This is how you can make it so the host plays in a pit fight. Obviously, in this case, only one of the red/blue boxes have to be filled (you count for the other one). Once this is all done (assuming you're not fighting), you'll be in the spectator box. The host can leave this box (and enter the arena) via the bottom left corner. This can be done to annoy the fighters, or to enter the main control room (again, follow the red arrow). Inside the spectator box itself, there are 2 warps. The top left one returns players to the lobby (they will lose their bets!). The top right one opens up for people who have won their bets. Once a player has won the pit fight (meaning they are the only player left in the arena), go to the control room and hit the red or blue crate (depending on which colour the player chose). Then enter the flashing warp to return to the spectator box. Instruct winning bettors to enter the top right warp. Instruct winning fighters to fall through the bottom middle of the arena. Instruct everyone else to leave via the top left (you can also force them by hitting crate 31 again, but be careful with that). Pit fights are judged not by killing, but by being the last person standing. Thus, it is possible for there to be no winners. Note that when people die, they come back as "interference". Therefore, the winner of a fight is whoever is left standing and isn't playing interference. Ultimately though, you will be the judge on who wins. If you don't like the idea of interference (or want to limit a bit) you can ask that players leave the arena themselves. As a final note, players who bet more money than they have will be kicked out of the spectator box once the match starts. Instruct players that they need to be careful of this. Pit fights are the hardest thing to run in this level, but they are the most rewarding if you understand how the system works. 8. Do not kick the crates in the control room. Only stomp them. Unless you want the level to break. 9. As the host, you could potentially use the control room warps to cheat, or otherwise break things. Try not to do this. If you enter them accidentally, then just try to leave and go back to where you were supposed to be. 10. The roulette and risk-o-matic do not require your control. The risk-o-matic is basically just a way for players to get money, if they currently have none. 11. The "test area" cannot be accessed, as it was never finished. It's just there to taunt players. If they ask about it, give mysterious answers, or say stupid things like "it will unlock when you get a million coins".
