DEFENSE OF THE PARADISE ----------------------- A level by [J2F]Unhit and [J2F]SonGoku ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello downloader ;). This is the first lvl I (Unhit, writer of this readme) made together with another Jazzer (SonGoku). I wanted to make a level together with another one because I hoped there'd be more ideas and funny stuff in it. So I asked SonGoku if he'd like to build a level with me. He agreed, and we decided to make a CTF-level, 100x50, everybody should make a part, 50x50 big. The one should make the part around the blue, the other one the part around the red flag. I luckily got two PCs, and so we started working at the same time, a few metres away from the other ;). The left part (blue base) was made by me, the right one (red base) by SonGoku, I put the parts together later then. I'm sorry this level is only TSF compatible. But unluckily, my 1.23-JCS doesn't work. Thx for downloading this lvl. Enjoy playing (and if you should find any bugs while doing this, plz contact me ;P)! - Unhit and SonGoku Known Bugs ========== Not a real bug, a small "eyecandy-error": at the cave near to the middle (part around the right base, there's a RF-update in it), it was impossible to maka the cave dark without "allowing" a few black tiles to be seen outside the cave. Please don't change your rating because of this ;p! The history ;) ============== Friday, 04.01.02 Beginning of our work. We thought of a name for the lvl that day, while we built it. It should be more creative than something like "Carrottus CTF". We thought of lots of names, like "Garden Pavement", "Return to the Paradise" and so on. Finally we got the name "Defense of the Paradise". I think it has a little bit to do with the subjects you got in this lvl: you have to defense your base, your team's paradise ;). I hope you like the name now ;). Late in the evening, I put the two parts together. We needed betatesters then, so I sent mails to some pepole who, I hoped, would like to betatest this. Saturday, 05.01.02 The first betatester, Turtle, finished his work, and I also found a few errors. I removed the errors. I found a second betatester (Crusty). He worked together with Turt, and so they found a few errors in the walls. I also made a map that morning. I hoped it won't change ;)! Sunday, 06.01.02 I once again got new betatesters, but no answers from any betatesters yet. I also worked over the level again this morning. I put a few more things in the walls, there was too few eyecandy, I thought. And I made a plant for every pumpkin, no pumpkin should fly in the air ;). I also found a lightning error. What luck that I didn't publish the level earlier ;)! Then I finally put some things into the foreground. That was all, and my betatesters needed to get the new version ;)! Monday, 07.01.02 I tested the gameplay with SonGoku. No changes, and no answers from the betatesters. Tuesday, 08.01.02 I got answer from a betatester: WhiteRabbit. But I got probs with opening the mail, so I couldn't read what he didn't like. Other betatesters could finally start working that day, because I've sent them a newer version (the one from Sunday ;D). Wednesday, 09.01.02 I once again got a new betatester, but I didn't get any answer from other betatesters... Afterwards, I made a new map. I deactivated the events, because nobody could recognize what event it was, at a map made in the 12.5-zoom. There were also a few changes in layer 4 since the old map, but most changes were not visible because they were in the other layers. And even later ;), I put those carrottus castles in the background behind the CTF-bases. I thought it would look better than before. But I had to wait what SonGoku would think ;). Thursday, 10.01.02 Nothing. Friday, 11.01.02 I started making a logo for the lvl and finished it later that day. I also put the two CTF-bases in the map. Saturday, 12.01.02 I worked over the walls once again, and there were a few plants that were set wrong. The new version afterwards was 0.91Beta ;). I removed the logo that day. I have no programmes for good effects, and so it didn't look that good... Later, version 0.93Beta followed ;). I added a new pumpkin-plant and some one ways (it was the 9th betatester, Payback, that told me to do so ;D). Friday, 18.01.02 The last betatest- there was too long nothing made. So I decided to let the lvl be tested a last time and to switch the version 0.93 Beta to 0.93. The level was ready- I just needed to upload :). Another betatester that day was Moggo. He did not tell me any thing I should work over, he just told me the level would be cool ;)! Tuesday, 05.02.02 Cell betatested the level. He told me a few things to change in the background. This is the difference between 0.93 and 0.94. Still Beta ;p! Sunday, 10.02.02 I sent the level to our newest betatester, WhiteRabbit. Monday, 11.02.02 I got results from WhiteRabbit. I changed a few things he told me to do, for example, I made the pumpkins one ways, and a few more darker places. The new version was 0.95. When will we reach 1.00 ;p? I uploaded the level later that day. As the first version has just been downloaded 12 times, and there hasn't been any review, I reuploaded it as "Defense of the Paradise v0.95 (DOWNLOAD!!!)". Luckily, WhiteRabbit rated the level very fast, and with a 8.5, I'm sure it'll get more reviews, though it is TSF. WhiteRabbit later also reminded me on a few things he told me to do and I just forgot to do. Version 0.96 was ready ;p! Thursday, 14.02.01 Finally, I added a few seekers. I originally had planned not to pit any seekers in the lvl, but lots of people claimed about this. So there are seekers in the level now: six pieces for every team. I added seekers, but not too much :). In addition, I worked over the walls once again. There were still a few very small eyecandy-errors, and I had nothing to do, so the walls had to be changed. The new version was 0.97BETA. Don't know if I'll ever remove that "BETA"...:p This .zip-Archieve includes =========================== dotparadise.j2l - The level. dotpmap.bmp - A map of the level for to have a view on it. The format is because of the quality: I have got no programmes with which I can create a GIF or JPEG in good quality. dotpreadme.txt - The readme-file you're reading right now ;). If some files are damaged or even not included, please contact me or SonGoku.
