Anniversary Bash 4 level... | Jazz2Online | Multiple | N/A |
1. BloodBunny's Lair by BloodBunny (AB4CTF01.j2l) A classic level, with quite fast and unpredictable gameplay. This is one of the oldest levels in AB4, and one of my favorite ones. This was apparently BloodBunny's first CTF level. 2. Dirty Laundry by BloodBunny (AB4CTF02.j2l) One of the most creative layouts I have seen in a CTF level. The only flaw in Dirty Laundry (at least in my opinion) is the fact that there are 3 full NRG carrots. That really doesn't seem to be too much of a problem as long as there are more than two people playing. 3. Happy Castle CTF by stripe, Fquist and Bobby aka Dizzy (AB4CTF03.j2l) According to the creators, this level is more correctly known as JAIL. Originally it was intended to be a level using an experimental concept with jails in each base. The concept failed and was removed, but the level remained one of the most unique CTF levels ever. JAIL is one of the first CTF levels to use trigger zones for team-only things. 4. Swingin Jazz by BloodBunny (AB4CTF04.j2l) This is a lot simpler than the other two levels I included that are by this author, but still very good. I have played a lot of good games in this level. 5. Happy Semiconductor CTF by stripe (AB4CTF05.j2l) I find this level to be very abstract in that it is mostly a bunch of platforms and stuff scattered all over the place, but I like it. There are a lot of small but good ideas used in this level, making it rather creative. Most people either love or hate Happy Semiconductor. 6. .:GLoWiNG PoiSoN:. by EvilMike (Ab4CTF06.j2l) This is my best level according to the ratings on j2o, so I felt like I should include it. I designed this for 2 vs 2 games, but any amount of players seems to work. I would call this a decent level, and surprisingly balanced given the seemingly unfair powerup placement. 7. Slab RatZ by Shadow (AB4CTF07.j2l) A great level using the labrat1 tileset, and my favorite one by this author. It has a rather circular layout when it comes to actually playing it, and even though the carrot is a little too close to red base, I never found any serious problems resulting from that. 8. Space Cataclysm #2 by Overlord (AB4CTF08.j2l) I used this particular version of the level because it doesn't allow for as much hiding as version #1 of this level (go download this to see what I mean). Space Cataclysm is a symmetrical CTF level with some rather creative "guard posts" positioned in the bases. I have never seen a level that matches the gameplay of this one. 9. Tribal Temple CTF by Cell (AB4CTF09.j2l) Something about this level just makes me want to put it in the pack. I really don't know what that is though. In any case, this is a worthy level, and one with no serious flaws. 10. Chemical Warfare(edit) by Jeh (AB4CTF10.j2l) A lot of people requested that I use chemical warfare in AB4, but I noticed a few rather large flaws in the level that could have seriously slowed down gameplay. I removed a lot of carrots and changed the coinwarp area, but the level is still the same for the most part. 11. Darker Science by Shadow (AB4CTF11.j2l) This is my favorite level by Shadow. It's small, and has excessive foreground, but it is extremely fun. I find the design is very oldschool, which is always a good thing. 12. PreSenT PaST by SteelTalon (AB4CTF12.j2l) This is SteelTalon's first level, as it took him almost an eternity to make. The level is good, but it is quite complicated and takes a while to learn. It contains plenty of secrets. 13. Fiersome Flaggin' by Disguise (AB4CTF13.j2l) In my opinion, Disguise's best CTF level is this one. The level is simple, open, and has intense gameplay. Sadly, this level isn't very popular, one of the reasons I included it in the AB4 level pack. 14. Inside the glue factory by Cell (AB4CTF13.j2l) It's a good level with a factory setting. Not the best level in the world, but quite enjoyable. 15. ShockWave by Shadow (AB4CTF15.j2l) This level seems really annoying at first, due to the rather "busy" look of all the eyecandy and foreground, but it has a good layout. Probably the most popular Future of Evolution level, the pack that this one is a part of. 16. ClAuStRo MaNiA by Shadow (AB4CTF16.j2l) I don't know if this is more popular than ShockWave, but it is just as good. Quite original, good layout, not too much eyecandy. 17. GEMneric CTF by stripe (AB4CTF17.j2l) Stripe finally came out with another level, specially made for AB4. It has some good ideas, but isn't as good as some of his older stuff. Luckily, this uses the diamondus day tileset instead of the overused night version. 18. Smog CTF by EvilMike (AB4CTF18.j2l) I got requests to include this level, so I did. I really wasn't trying hard when I made this level, but it turned out better than most of mine. It's probably a result of dumb luck, really. This is quite large, but doesn't fell like it because it is open. 19. Diamondus Warzone by Jeh (AB4CTF19.j2l) The only reason this "level" is in AB4 is because I basically have to include it. That doesn't mean I have to be nice to it though, so I tacked it on at the end. Special thanks to iCeD for providing me with a few of the fixed versions of the levels.
