Treasure Tournament Pack... | Warlord! | Treasure hunt | 8 |
=========================================================================== ============================================= Jazz 2 Treasure Tournament Pack v1.0 (tsf edition)Readme =========================================================================== ============================================== Hi Warlord here. Let me start by thanking you for downloading my pack. This is the tsf edition of the pack. Most of the maps have been modified to be more Lori friendly. Don't forget to download the Jazz2 edition (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/moreinfo.php?levelid=1221) if you have Jazz2 on your comp. 6 treasure hunt levels are in this pack(more to be added in future versions). Feel free to host these levels on your servers and spread the word to the other jazzers that pure treasure hunt is not dead. Note that 16bit color is recommended to get the most out these maps visually as some maps have water in them. Now let's get to the descriptions. Rags to Riches- This is an amped version of the first level I made using jcs. I made this map back in December 1998 when I got the full version of jazz2. The original design kinda sucked so I've decided to improve almost everything in the level. This map was also released in a pack on Universe Jazz shortly before what's his name decided to.. Anyways in this map you basically run, gun collect gems and coins and try to get to the exit as fast as you can. A few areas require you to switch characters or get tnt. This map is a bit small but wide open. filename:ragstsf.j2l --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------- Aquatic Dungeon 2- Another slightly updated version of one the first maps I made using jcs. As the name suggests, in this level you have lots of swimming to do. This map has gone through lots of changes from the time the first version came out. Like the previous versions this map is crawling with secrets. You should know what you have to do to find secrets. The secrets aren't impossible though but requires a basic jazzer's knowledge to find them. 16bit color is required for you to see the water and yourself in the water clearly. filename:aquamaptsf.j2l --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------- Diamondus Speedzone-(Race Treasure series lvl#1) NOTE: Now what the hell is the Race Treasure series you ask. Well its a variation of your normal treasure hunt. Instead of running around the map collecting gems. You have to make laps like a race level while collecting gems. Its like a treasure with a mix of race. Play the map a few times and you'll get the hang of it. As you know this map plays slightly different than your typical treasure hunt level. It involves making laps while collecting gems etc. Uses the diamondus tileset. I converted this map from race to treasure hunt. Its a Race Treasure series map, meaning you have to get to the ending as fast as you can to get the reward(s) and make your laps. While there are gems in the level, the real prize is the blue gem that is at the end of the level. Most of the gems respawn so you can collect them while racing. You also have to watch out for the many obstacles in the level. Such as horizontal springs, deadends and more. Collect weapons to bring your competitors down to their knees and steal their gems and run away. I might release the race version soon. You might remember the race version from UJ. filename:spediamontr.j2l --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------- Jungle Fever-(Race Treasure series lvl#2) Another level in the Race Treasure series. Its all race in this level. Like the last level there are some obstacles to keep you back. This level is also very long. It will take a few minutes to get to the blue gems at the end of the level. Don't just race. Collect weapons to steal and combat any campers. If you play this map in Local Play Split Screen you will have to watch out for falling rocks, I recommend playing it in Local Network or Internet if you don't like falling rocks :) Lori looks kinda cool swinging on those vines. If she can swing on vines how come she can't fly copters :( hmph filename:junfevertr.j2l --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------- Springboard Mountain- The original Springboard Mountain. Like the original it uses the easter99 tileset. The setting is in the day and there are butterflies flying around. It's your typical treasure hunt level. Try not to let the springs own you too much and be sure to get 20coins first. It may look like there aren't much gems here but a good number of them are hidden in the ground which you must stomp out with your butt. Look for hints on where to find them. filename:fgem.j2l --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------- Stronghold Showdown Treasure Arena- Possibly one of the most dilapidated maps you've ever seen. Stronghold Showdown is the name of my 2nd single player level which I started but haven't finished up to this day. The map was a huge map. I've converted it to ctf(Stronghold Showdown Arena) a short while back and now I've converted it to treasure hunt which was a serious pain in the rear. This map has a good bit of secrets so just apply your basic knowledge. The most stumbling block for you will will probably be getting to the exit. The price of winning may sound steep when I tell you but it's all part of lengthening playability In this level you start off in a small room with nothing to collect. Proceed to your left or right and go to any corner of the next room and you'll find a warp. These warps let you start off at different areas in the map. It's still balanced because you can always find weapons to blast your foes. =) filename:ssgematsf.j2l --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------- Be sure to look out for future updates which may include more maps and fixes. Happy hunting :) Questions? Comments? If any, icq me.#32976134 Enjoy the levels! \/ More Descriptions/Spoilers-(don't read if you like to find things on your own) Rags to Riches- Resources(gems) :High Number of Weapon Pickups :7 Number of Weapon Powerups(by type, excluding ff) :2 Shields :Yes Number of enemy types :N/A Flying :No(well kinda) Chuck :N/A Boss :N/A Water :No Coin Warp :Yes 1ups :N/A Morphing :Yes Additional Notes:If you go into the coin warp that requires 20 coins you'll realize its only 5 coins you're spending because there are 3 gold coins in the warp. There is also a gem stomp in the level at pos 139,19 it is the only gem stomp in the level. Why do I waste my time spoon feeding you with these spoilers? :) Future things- In the next update I might include the reverse race treasure conversions of Diamondus Speedzone and Jungle Fever, more maps if I have the time to make them.
