=========================================================================== ============================================== 2 CTF Maps Readme. =========================================================================== ============================================== Hi Warlord here. Let me start by thanking you for downloading my pack. In this pack you get two lesser known capture the flag maps made by me . Feel free to host these levels on your servers. Now lets get to the descriptions shall we? Stronghold Showdown Arena- The map has weird design because I converted it from a single player level I never finished. But the map is big and requires a lot of players (about 10+). There is also a treasure conversion of this level but it uses the first part of the single player map. There are 2 main routes to get to each base with some side routes. If you want to see the tresure version you can download the jazz2 version here: http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/moreinfo.php?levelid=1221 and the tsf version here: http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/moreinfo.php?levelid=1315 Aquatic Dungeon 3- Kinda like the sequel to Aquatic Dungeon 2. Uses the same boring tileset and has most of the things that were in AD2. If you missed Aquatic Dungeon 2 you can get it at the same links I've provided above. This map seems well balanced and has multiple routes to the flag on both sides. The map is cramped but also has a few open areas. Its a small map overall. I guess I designed this map with teamwork in mind. You'll need a solid defense to prevent intruders from grabbing that flag and choking off the flag carrier. This map should work well for clan matches. Click below for additional information. Including strats. You know the drill :) Questions? Comments? If any, icq me.#32976134 Enjoy the levels! More Descriptions/Spoilers-(don't read if you like to find things on your own but trust me it'll be alot:) Stronghold Showdown Arena- Resources(gems) :N/A Number of Weapon Pickups :All Number of Weapon Powerups(by type, excluding ff) :4 Shields :No Carrots :4 Number of enemy types :N/A Flying :Yes Chuck :N/A Boss :N/A Water :No Coin Warp :No 1ups :N/A Morphing :No Additional Notes: -You need the airboard the get one of the powerups on the blue side. -You get about 20 ammo from the more damaging power ups when you hit them. -This map might work for clan matches as well, seems balanced to me. -This map requires solid defense as well or when necessary but you can play it your way. -Offense shouldn't be too difficult since it's not hard to branch off from one route to the other. -The purple bridge on the blue side near the ff provides an excellent way of spotting incoming intruders and knowing which way the enemy flag carrier went. -If on the red team I recommend grabbing the airboard before going after the blue flag and they are not too far apart. Play this map alot and you'll see why. Aquatic Dungeon 3- Resources(gems) :N/A Number of Weapon Pickups :6 Number of Weapon Powerups(by type, excluding ff) :2 Shields :Yes Carrots :2 Number of enemy types :N/A Flying :No Chuck :N/A Boss :N/A Water :Duh! Coin Warp :Yes 1ups :N/A Morphing :No Additional Notes: Here are a few extra things you should know. *I gave names to all parts of the map. These are Flagroom, Shield Tower, Flooded Catacombs, Central room and Central Catacombs. I don't know why I did this but I guess its for making teams communicate better on their location, meeting places etc. *There are 3 main routes to the flag. The top route is the shortest way to grab the flag while the flooded route takes the longest but seems more rewarding. *The weapons underwater respawn quicker than those not underwater. *There are 2 carrots underwater. 1 per side. I did this so there would be a good reason to go underwater :) *There are 2 shields on both sides of the map. *The shields don't respawn so use them wisely and defend the one which corresponds with your team and use them when in a difficult situation or if you feel the enemy is going to grab it and you cannot kill him/her in time. *All the coins are in the central zone of the map. This goes for the Central Room and the Central Catacombs. *The coins at the top route of the map take the shortest time to respawn while the one near the coinwarp and the one underwater respawn a few secs apart from each other. This means the coins underwater take the longest to respawn but there are more coins in this route than any other. *It is possible to get the powerup with out going in the coin warp but trust me on this one this requires more luck than skill and is time consuming and you'll probably get killed from the other team while attempting to pull this off. *You can only see one powerup in the map. The other powerup doesn't respawn so you can only get it once. Also I am not telling you where to find it. *The fast feet in the central room doesn't do jack but what the heck. *The Underwater route provides a back way to the flags, pretty sneaky, make sure you defend the one on your side since the other routes conclude at the front of the flag while this one lands you at the back. *I assume most ppl will probably forget about the back way to the flag and won't defend it. lol. *Certain parts of the map are pretty much cramped, use bouncers to choke off pursuers. Also like I said there are a couple wide open spaces where bouncers are easy to evade. Make sure and use the weapon according to the situation. *Look for warps around the shield areas. *Have fun. Future things- I might make time to update that J2TTP but hmmmm.
