This is an updated version of the level I released in June. I was never
quite satisfied with it so I took it back to the drawing board and bashed
it about and came out a couple of weeks later with a much revamped (and
hopefully improved) version. The basic layout for much of the level has
been practically untouched but many changes have been made. These are the
most major:

- Total redevelopment of the upper-left side of the level. This is the part
of the map I was most unhappy with, so I hit backspace and bulldozed the
lot. It is now a cave type area with that dark-brown background.

- Significant extention to the lower-right portion of the level. This was
due to the warp being, in my opinion, to easy to hit accidentally. It is
now somewhat better placed, and also warps to a different location.

- Overhauled the eye-candy completely to make the level play smoother. This
was in responce to many comments I received both during testing, and after
release. (See the reviews from the original level on J2O)

- Added a warp above the coin warp to give another route to the lower level
of the map. That means there are now 3 open warps, one on the far left, one
on the far right, and this one in the middle.

Other things that have been changed include:

- The level name, which (stupidly) contained an underscore the first time
round and so couldn't be entered into the JJ2 level field.

- Additional fore- and background layers. The level now makes use of all
layers except #1.

- The middle parts of the level have been made more spacious to provide
more open battle areas.

- More coins added to make the seeker powerup less expensive.

- And numerous general improvements to some areas of tiles to aid gameplay.

Level Stats:

Carrots: 3; 2 on the right and 1 left.
Warps: 3; 1 left, 1 middle, one right [and one extra coin warp]
Powerups: 3; 1 left, 1 middle, one right [and one extra in the coin warp]

Should show how the level's been made as balanced as possible :-)

Thats it, I cant think of any more changes but the difference is pretty
obvious from the first one, and I reckon it's as good as I can make it now,
so I'll try to stop messing with it any more :-). Thankyou to the ppl who
helped test it, many of the bugs you spotted would still be there w/o you.
I've included the original readme below because I couldnt be bothered
typing out the important bits again. Just be aware that some of it is
irrelevant to this version.

Enjoy it

From June 2002:

Even though I've been playing JJ2 for a while, this is the first level I've
released. Its been in the making for a long time because of my on/off
nature of playing games.

Its not a very open level, better for more strategic play then all out
choas matches. There are 3 carrots, 3 powerups, plenty of ammo (all weapons
other than TNT are available), 3 warps (2 open, 1 coin warp) and quite alot
of eye candy.

The level started life as a CTF level, and because of this you always start
at the same place in the middle, and its split into 2 sections, left and
right where the bases used to be, so its a bit symetrical.

I haven't put a password on the level file, I don't mind people looking at
it or changing things like the Next Level field, or even changing parts of
the level itself, after all, it is only a JJ2 level, life's too short to
worry about things like that. Just don't say it's your work if you do
change it.

I did, admitidly, copy some ideas from other levels, in particular the
pyramid of carrots at the start from Hanks Team Fortress (Quality Level),
and the "chicane" of carrots, from Battle 1 (less extreme though). There
were other sources, but I dont remember them, and they werent a significant
factor in the design.

Enjoy it
