Jazz Jackrabbit 2:
Cooked Carrots V1.2
The Add-On Episode by FoX

1. The Story

One lizard, walking through the deep inferno, saw what appeared
to be a mere pile of rubble. A voice from within shouted, "Help me out,
you @%$* lizard!"
"Yikes! It's a talking pile of rubble!" the lizard screamed, and
started to run off, but was stopped by the voice: "You bumbling fool!
This is your master! Get me out from under these rocks!" The lizard
started digging.
Six hours later, the lizard was finally done, and out came his
master, Devan Shell, just as he had claimed. And he was more furious than
ever. "That cursed rabbit and his trigger happy brother! They dare to
make a fool out of me again! Well, this time -" He was cut off by the
lizard.
"Duh, boss, maybe you should lay off on trying to take over
Carrotus for now. Those two rabbits are too tough."
"Oh, I'm not going to try to take it over again. I'm taking a
break from that," Devan said. "I'm just going to blow it up instead!!!"

Meanwhile, in the castle, Jazz was explaining his last mission to
Eva. "Then when he was about to beam out, I shot his time machine and he
got fried. Then Spaz caught the gem, and he got trapped under some
debris."
Eva replied, "That's amazing. I wish I could win a war against
turtle terrorists. I mean, who says a lady can't slay a few monsters?"
Jazz was surprised at his wife's heroism. "Too bad your father
won't let you outside the palace walls. I wonder where Shell is now?"
Then an army of turtles and lizards burst in.
"Right now, he's in his ship," the leader said, menacingly.
"But none of you stupid Galactic Rabbits will care when he's done his
destructor weapon, because you'll be Rabbit Roast!"
Jazz ran up to the leader and pointed his LFG-2000 at the guy's
head. "Where is he building it? Answer me!"
The leader, after some hesitation, replied, "It's...on Diamondus."
"Thank you," Jazz said, then blew the turtle to pieces.

2. Tips for Kicking Shell

Take advantage of all the special moves.

You need to figure out when to use certain weapons. There is no
"all-purpose" weapon.

Set traps with weapons like TNT and the Blue Bullet Bouncer.

Save your ammo.

When you're fighting a boss, NEVER stop moving!

In Sauteed Carrots, it's possible to get all the gems in the word
EPIC.

RF-Missiles are the most effective against the jungle lord
(Bilsy for you JCS freaks).

Silver quasars damage you, gold quasars throw you off a bit.

3. How do I start?

That's what you're probably asking yourself by now. Well, it's
easy as Pi. Just start a new, single player game, go to "Home Cooked
Levels", then select "Play Cooked Carrots". Pick your character and skill
level, and you're off.

4. Miscellaneous

This episode contains 7 zones, each with two levels, and each
with a boss on the second level. The zones are, in order: Castle,
Carrotus, Diamondus, Jungle, Beach, Damnation, and Labrat.

"Cooked Carrots" was made by FoX using the Jazz Creation Station.
It features 14 thrilling single player/2p co-op levels, 7 bosses
(including one HH98 boss!), and lots of fun. Expect a castle run-through,
a paranormal area of Carrotus, a vicious return to the planet that
started it all, a jungle jamboree, a hot day at the beach, the depths of
the planet itself, and finally Devan's secret underground lab where he's
building his destructor machine.

5. Legal Stuff

You can download this episode, give it to all your friends, etc.
(it's public domain) but don't blame me if it fries your computer.

6. Improvements for V1.2

There's a major bugfix in this release. In "Turtellini", it was
almost impossible to get to the Uterus boss to fight it. But now it can
happen.

WAY more bonus areas.

Silver quasars in the last level.

An explanation of quasars in this document.

The document has been reformatted.

Tramsparency effects in "Devan's Laboratory".

More enemies, including fencers and float suckers.

That's all!
