OS: Microsoft's Windows(R) 95. RAM: 16 MB. Hard Drive:45 MB. CD ROM: 2x speed or better. Controller:Keyboard or Joystick (optional). Note: This are the requires from the original Jazz 2 readme. Starting PHT's Survivor Level ----------------------------- Insert the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 CD into your CD ROM Drive. If Windows 95/98/ME/XP is configured to use the autorun feature, Jazz Jackrabbit 2 will automatically start its autorun program and present you with Installation and gameplay options. If your computer is not configured to take advantage of the Windows 95/98/ME/XP autorun feature, skip this section and begin at the section titled "Installation". If Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is not installed on your computer, you will be presented with options listed below, To select an option, position your mouse pointer over your choice and click the left mouse button to select it. Install: This takes you to the installation program of Jazz2. Self Destruct: Don't touch this button! Readme: This option display the Jazz 2 readme.txt file. Quit: Exits the autorun program. If you have previously installed Jazz Jackrabbit 2, the following options will be displayed: Play: Selecting this will start the game. Reinstall: Select this option to reinstall Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Uninstall: Selecting this option will remove Jazz Jackrabbit 2 from your hard drive. Self Destruct: Don't touch this button! Readme: This option displays the Jazz 2 readme.txt file. Installation ------------ To start the installation process, drag all the files and put them into the folder you installed Jazz 2 into. Now you must wait until the files are loaded into your Jazz2 folder. Direct X Setup Notes -------------------- Jazz Jackrabbit 2 requires that DirectX 5 is installed on your computer. If you do not have DirectX installed, the installation program of Jazz 2 will guide you through the installation process. If you have an older version of DirectX installed, the installation program will ask you if you would like to upgrade to DirectX 5. If you choose "Yes", the installation program will guide you through the installation process. If you choose "No" you will be given a warning that Jazz Jackrabbit 2 may not work correctly, and you may encounter performance problems because you are not using the latest DirectX drivers. NOTE: IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU INSTALL DIRECTX 5 ON YOUR COMPUTER TO PLAY PHT'S SURVIVOR LEVEL. WE CANNOT OFFER TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO PEOPLE WHO ARE USING OLDER VERSIONS OF DIRECTX. ============================================ Game Mode Notes ============================================ Talking to Other Playes ----------------------- During an Internet game, you can 'talk' to all the players in the game. To start talking to all the players, press the "T" key on your keyboard. Then, type in what you would like to say. Finish by pressing the ENTER key. When you press ENTER, your text will be sent to all the other players in the game.
